It was really fun to experience going down under in a real Submarine! The only reason I deducted a star is unfortunately the window that I sat by stains on it. It also showed on my video camera while I was filming and taking pictures underwater - very disappointing! Otherwise, I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience a real submarine ride!

Such a cool experience, especially if you can’t swim or are not comfortable snorkeling. It was very safe and we saw so much. Definitely do it!
This turned out to be a great journey underwater and the gentleman who narrated was excellent! Beautiful variety of fish and a couple sunken ships! Well worth the time!
It actually does go under water! That said the windows aren't as clear in the promo pictures. But it was still really cool!
You have to ride a boat on the ocean to reach the submarine. About 15 minutes. A steep ladder to enter and exit the submarine. The experience is awesome.
Wonderful experience. A little expensive for the tour but glad we did it. We had seven of us doing the excursion and we saw several different fish. The glass is a little foggy in some areas so hard to get good images but also under water doesn’t help. Still a good time.
I absolutely loved the submarine tour.the tour guide was well informed about marine life. She was able to identify different fish, predators, and other fun facts. Absolutely would recommend!
The submarine experience was amazing, you getting taken out to the submarine by boat and then you have about 40 minutes under the water. Your guide talks to you all about what you are seeing and some interesting facts about the Hawaiian reef. The only slight complain is that it isn’t all that clear that the meeting point is in a kiosk within a hotels shopping area from the outside, but this is a very minor complain. Overall we had a very positive experience.
My mom and I took the Atlantis Submarine in Kona, and she absolutely loved it. Through the portholes we saw shipwrecks that have become artificial reefs and plenty of fish, including yellow tang, parrotfish, and eels. It's a great way to see what's under the ocean without getting wet. What impressed me most was how seriously they take safety. On the shuttle boat out to the submarine, the crew gave a life jacket demonstration, and at least four staff members helped everyone get in and out of the submarine safely. It was the most well-executed, safety-focused tour of our whole trip. I'd recommend it to anyone, and especially to families traveling with older parents.

Booking through Viator was significantly cheaper than through the cruise line and the experience of being in a working submarine was priceless.
Great "Bucket list" experience. Very knowledgeable and safe staff. It was a pleasure!! So glad we did it!, Great Price too.
So much fun! Awesome views under the water and the crew were very nice! Definitely would do this again.
Once in a lifetime treat!! I did doors off, highly recommend. Awesome customer service from beginning to end. Ben our pilot was top notch 🤩
The experience was off the charts. The crew was great. I’d take the submarine out again. If you don’t want to snorkel, this is the way to see underwater fish and sea life.
It’s a great experience for people who can’t swim and see the under space and the beautiful scenery that the sea has to offer
Awesome experience, very professional and knowledgeable. We had a great time. I highly recommend it.
Something different! When will you ever get to ride a submarine again?! Fabulous captain and crew, and the fish and shipwrecks were awesome to see!
Excellent, saw a lot of fish and a shark. The crew is professional and made you feel welcome. well worth the money
That was amazing experience for me and my family. If you want to be in a different world for a bit and see amazing things this is your adventure
Absolutely great experience! Was everything we wanted and more. Got to see thousands of fish, sharks, dolphins, and rays! When we’re given the chance, we will take a ride again. Plenty of room, just can’t say enough.
The seating is cramped and viewing porthole is too low causing very bad body mechanics to see very few fish. Visibility was poor and the overall experience was not worth the price paid.
The guide was extremely knowledgeable! The ride was very comfortable. We would rate this two thumbs up!
What a fun experience, my family and I loved it! The inside of the submarine has more than enough space for everyone to see out their individual windows and it has AC!!!!! The pressure never hurt our ears and was a smooth ride up and down. The guide is very knowledgeable. Only issue I had was the photos do not show the vibrant colors of the fish.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Atlantis Submarine Tour in Kona was such a cool experience! I went by myself and had an absolute blast exploring more than 100 feet below the surface. Seeing all the fish, coral, and even shipwrecks from inside the submarine was something I’ll definitely remember. Our guide, Liam, was awesome! He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and his accent was definitely an added bonus. 😄 The submarine itself was really cool and made it possible to experience the underwater world in a completely different way. One little tip: I would avoid staring out the driver’s window or looking too much through the windows of the other submarines. 😂 The underwater illusion can start messing with your senses and make you feel a little nauseous. If you tend to get “sea sick,” I’d definitely recommend taking some Dramamine beforehand. I would absolutely do this tour again; especially on another Hawaiian island so I could experience a completely different underwater environment. Highly recommend adding this to your Kona adventure! 🌊🐠🤿
It was a wonderful experience, our guide was really good and the crew so polite and friendly. I really recommend.
First time going 105 feet under water! Saw a lot of cool things, fish swam right up to the windows including puffer fish. The shipwrecks were really neat to see. Grateful the sub was air conditioned, it was perfect in there. The it tour guide was great too, kept us well informed and entertained!
It was enjoyable and informative. My friends and I had a great time and we learned a lot, and we would recommend it to anyone else.
The experience was excellent. We saw many different types of fish and coral. I was a little disappointed because the corals were all black or grey because of the lack of light. From looking at the advertisement and the price, I expected to see the colors of the coral.
WOW! What a unique and very interesting experience! We had a fantastic time! We went on a Monday in late August and had a nearly private experience! I definitely recommend the submarine excursion with this company! Everyone was super friendly!
So amazing...like no other experience!!! You won't regret this so just do it! Not too cramped in side.
Excellent tour - A true experience of a SCUBA diver without the trouble of SCUBA equipment. Much better than a glass-bottom boat!
What an amazing experience!!! Went on a nice sunny day!!! Saw lots of sea life and the staff were great!
Staff was professional, parking was easy, found the establishment easy. Only thing was most of the fish were on the opposite side in which we sat. Overall 9 out of 10
It was a fantastic experience! I was a little apprehensive about getting from the boat to the sub because I don’t swim. AT ALL. Lol. But it wasn’t anything to worry about. Other than needing to hang on to the rail because of ocean waves and boat movement, it was very easy. It’s just a ramp with rails on each side to transfer from the boat to the sub, then climbing straight down the ladder into the submarine. Easy Peasy.
Was a “meh” experience. $15 dollars for the self guided botanical garden tour. Totally NOT worth it. If you’re there for the zip line, it’s probably great. But on foot, it’s messy, old cars parked everywhere, walking areas are practically non existent. Very poorly marked. Saw a large wild hog running the grounds and decided to avoid the orchards because we just didn’t feel like being seen as competition for his dinner…or being his dinner. lol The one waterfall we saw was off site. We drove there. It was beautiful Would we visit again? No. I wish we had gone to Hawai‘i Tropical Botanical Garden. It’s just a few miles further down the road. We drove by there on our way to a hiking trail to find a great ocean view. The trail we took bisected with the HTBG trail. It seemed much more organized and probably didn’t have the very dirty portable potties. Lessons learned.
Several members of our group were a little skittish about going underwater in close quarters. My 17-year old niece thought this was the best tour of our trip. Views are beautiful. We went down 100ft below the surface. Really cool!!!
Took the tour 2 years ago, and this is the second time. Surprisingly, I find the coral reef becomes significantly more and better than last time 😀 therefore I have seen quite many fish 🐠
Great time! All 5 of us loved this adventure. The shipwrecks below and their stories were interesting. Staff was nice and friendly. No sharks or large fish came to see us but schools of many different kinds came right up to the windows. Would have liked to stay down longer. E would definitely recommend this for any age.
Better than expected. My wife and I had the entire sub to ourselves. The crew was great and the views….AMAZING.
We had a fantastic submarine tour! The crew was friendly, professional, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. It was amazing to see the underwater world up close, with colorful fish, coral, and even a small shark. The tour was well organized, informative, and unforgettable. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
Only little fish only little coral. Not worthy of price . Only 10 of us including 2 children . I don’t know if captain did not take the boat to deep enough of far enough from pier ?
The submarine went down 115 ft. Awesome!!!! Saw some wreck things and lots of fish! Enjoyed it all. Personnel were very knowledgeable.
Great experience! My kids enjoyed it! The staff was really friendly! We even saw dolphins on our way to the submarine!! The submarine went into a depth of 100ft and we were able to enjoy the reef, fish, sunken ships.
Fantastic voyage literally to the bottom of the sea! An amazing experience. Would recommend it for all ages!
Fair. Show was ok from far away. Better seat options on viator site would be nice. Good was good. They picked up fast
The crew were very friendly and informative. The sub was comfortable and roomy. The fish were beautiful and the shipwrecks were fascinating. You should definitely book this trip!
We had a lot of fun checking out the cove from below. We saw tons of fish, a turtle, coral, sea grass & shipwrecks. The had kind and humorous staff to tell us what was what.
The captain knew how to get us the best view of the reef and fish and the host was extremely knowledgeable. We had a great time.
Sub went down over 100 feet. Saw one shark swimming around. Ship wrecks were cool but the fish were the main attraction for me. I liked they included music during the ride going down and up. Friendly staff.
