This cruise was a perfect way to leisurely enjoy the evening around Kona with my partner. The boat was clean, even the restrooms were sparkling. and there was plenty of seating room for all the patrons. You can choose to sit in a sheltered area, or lounge out in the open on the cushioned benches around the vessel. The crew members were all helpful and friendly, the live music was really enjoyable. It was a delightful sight to see a pod of spinner dolphins off in the distance, doing their little dance mid air. The absolute topper for the entire experience was the spectacular sunset with all the vibrant colors glowing as the sun disappeared on the horizon. The only part of the tour that needed improvement was the main dinner entree (the salad and dessert were delicious). Nevertheless, the bland dry chicken dinner didn’t ruin this otherwise unforgettable and exceptional experience. I highly recommend it!

Really fun cruise. Food was excellent, staff was incredibly friendly and inviting. Sunset was beautiful. Well worth the cost. Only downside was having to check in so far from the actual cruise departure site. Had to walk up and down a long hill in the hot sun (walk was not fun for older adults).
This was a fun and informative journey down the Kona coast, the guide knew her materials and the musician kept the vibes cool, staff made extra accommodations for my wife’s food allergies and sensitivities and served us with the utmost care. The crew knew their ship and piloted it with ease.
Food allergy friendly! This dinner cruise was an amazing way to end our honeymoon trip. It was so relaxing and fun, and the food was amazing. I was concerned as I have many allergies including dairy, gluten, garlic and onion, and they ensured that I received the correct dish for my dinner that was allergen free. We saw beautiful parts of the island and had a great time learning more about the culture. It was a soggy day so I definitely advise bringing a rain coat or poncho for the walk down to the pier and in case its raining.
If you’re thinking you’re gonna go And have a relaxing sunset dinner. Think again. The cruise was very informative when it comes to the Hawaiian culture, but when it comes to the meal, the portions were very small and not very cultural to Hawaii, (chicken, mashed potatoes a roll and spinach) when it comes to the meal it was cold and is served on the move. it takes about an hour to get where you’re going which, in my opinion, the appetizer, which was just a salad, was perfect on the move. But the main course should have been served when you reached the location and the water was calmer, the sunset was great. but unfortunately would not recommend this if you’re looking for a sunset cruise, just do the cruise with no dinner and save the money and go get whatever you like, the crew was friendly but not attentive, unless you were buying drinks, had to eat pretty much our entire meal with no water because outside drinks are not allowed.
This was such a fun experience. Everything about it was amazing. The food was wonderful, staff, music and historian were great too. And the sunset was to die for. The night was perfect!
Good food. Great views. Awesome crew. Free drink included was a bonus. Saw 2 different types of dolphins up close!
This was just ok for me and my partner, unfortunately. The service was great, the views were nice, and the performers were good as well. However, this was a dinner cruise and it was so difficult to actually eat the dinner due to the speed, bumpiness, and windiness of the ride. I understand that they needed to hit a certain speed to get us to the midway point, but I would’ve much preferred going half as far out and going at a much slower and smoother speed so that I could actually eat comfortably. I was consistently having to hold onto my plate, silverware, and napkin to keep them from flying off the table - and I wasn’t the only one. The bumpiness also led to my partner getting a bit seasick. The food itself was average. Chicken was dry but the dessert was good. Very good servers though - very helpful and skilled!
Definitely worth the money. Just being out at sea and enjoying the coast line with the narration. Food is served quickly and pleasantly. Just watch your salad, it will blow away from the wind. lol. It was a very nice dinner cruise, I would recommend it.
Awesome sunset dinner cruise. The ships staff were amazing and very attentive!!! The food was great!
The dinner was delicious, but the entertainment was a lot to be desired the sunset was beautiful and Captain Cook was really nice too, and the lights on the mainland in the dark were nice
The historical Sunset dinner tour was awesome the history of the island was very cool great food everything very well managed from beginning to end and we caught an awesome sunset
I loved the history/story telling during the dinner part of this cruise that was truly the highlight of the whole event for me. The food was OK nothing to write home about and not very Hawaiian cuisine. They give each person one drink ticket and that's it, anything besides water after that point costs you. Lastly, if you get motion/seasick this is your warning that this cruise is not for you. Many people on our boat got sick during the cruise, the water and the ride were very choppy. Otherwise, it was a nice sunset with great music and history lesson.
Fabulous crew, no worries of sea being choppy, crew provides everything right to your seating area. Historical narration and live music very good
The whole experience was great from the staff to the food. I’d do it again. You will have a short walk to the venue, but it’s worth the walk.
Ausom thoroughly enjoyed food and crew
Cold basic chicken dinner that was pink inside the center, not worth the charge. Overall not worth it. Didn’t learn or see anything new
We enjoyed every minute of this dinner cruise! We left the Kailua Kona pier and several Dolphins swam near us which was a wonderful start. We followed the coast with a local guide describing the places along the shore. We also had a musician providing lovely Hawaiian music. Dinner included a salad, followed by Chicken, mashed potatoes, greens and a roll. Finally, a delicious cheesecake for dessert. We saw a beautiful sunset as we were heading back to the pier. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout the cruise. This trip was amazing and one of the best things to do when visiting the island of Hawaii!
Food was far from Great Staff and facilities were great and boat (including head) was very clean If I were to go again I would skip the dinner cruise and do the booze cruise
The cruise was awesome! The food was delicious, the staff was wonderful, and the entertainment was great. We honestly weren’t expecting the food to be as good as it was, but we were pleasantly surprised! A few tips if you’re planning to go: If you want to sit on the lower level where there’s a larger eating area, arrive very early because those seats fill up quickly. We sat on the top level, which was also very nice, but we weren’t able to see the performer. We could hear him perfectly, though, and he was great! The boat ride itself was good. Unfortunately, the lady sitting next to me got seasick and started throwing up while we were eating dinner. It definitely wasn’t pleasant, but it was no fault of her own. They took her to the lower level, where hopefully she felt better. The drinks were good, the food was really delicious, and overall we had a wonderful time! Definitely glad we did it! 🚢🌴
Friendly, helpful crew. Great service. Entertainment was great too! They were very attentive to the elderly in our party.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. We were lucky it wasn’t full so we had plenty of space to roam around. The crew was great and they served a yummy dinner. Adam was our server and he was a lot of fun. This cruise includes it all - educational, a nice cocktail, yummy dinner, time to enjoy sailing and watching the sun set.
Very friendly and accommodating crew. Food was great. Learned a lot about the history of the area. Would highly recommend.
Very educational cruise about history of areas we passed. On board music venue was most enjoyable and dinner food was good.
We had an amazing time. The crew was very accommodating with allergies, funny, cute, generous. I would definitely recommend this to anybody coming to the island. It was our first time. I gave it 5 stars.
The legends and traditions of the Big Island really came alive thanks to the great narration. And the meal was way better than expected for a cruise like this. The very comfortable boat itself was clearly designed specifically for dinner cruises. A great, romantic or just educational cruise.
Wonderful staff & excellent meal! Worth every cent! Easy check-in, gracious welcome on board, beautiful cruise & plenty of extra space!
The team was very excellent!!!
This was the best dinner cruise! The historical narration was excellent and the scenery amazing.
Nice meal! Learned a few things about Hawaii. Very friendly and helpful crew. Had a big rainstorm but people were moved below deck and stayed nice and dry. The weather cleared for a nice sunset!
The food was very good and the crew was welcoming, fun and lively. The guide was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of fun and interesting facts about the history and language.
Wonderful experience! We're yearly visitors to this beautiful Island, but have never taken an organized tour. In our younger days we explored on our own, finding many places that our special to us. This trip we are celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary, and wanted to do something "new". Made a great choice with this Don't Miss This One?one! Everything was perfect... easy boarding (I use a walker) assisted by a cheerful, attentive crew, a Historic Guide whose knowledge and ability to share it were amazing, a talented Musician who entertained the entire time, a fresh and delicious dinner and a gorgeous sunset!
It was the best way to wind down our trip to Kona. The history, views, dolphins, and the spectacular sunset made it complete.
This was an absolutely amazing adventure. The company, Body Glove, was very professional and friendly. The food was delicious. The historical narrative was very interesting. And of course the scenery and sunset could not be beat!
Beautiful sunset on the way back. The crew were fantastic. Made sure everyone had a picture with the sunset
Perfect date night! Food was good. The crew made sure the drinks kept coming. Views were amazing. Having a live speaker makes it more memorable.
For tonight, the water was pretty choppy. Captain and crew did a great job of keeping everyone safe and maintained great service. I have to say that I prefer the roast beef (served last time we took this cruise) over the chicken. As you can see, we have done this cruise more than once, so I would recommend it.
Beautiful time! Dinner was really great and we say dolphins and a manta ray as a bonus. Would do again.
From loading to unloading. The trip is must. 🍻🍻🍻🍻👍👍👍👍🎉🎉🎉🎉 The food is awesome. The staff is top notch.
Friendly staff, wonderful entertainment , enjoyed seeing the fish catch, and history of the surrounding area
Amazing evening! Food was delicious! Band was phenomenal and staff was so attentive and friendly. Sunset was amazing. We had the pleasure of seeing beautiful dolphins as well.
This was a great experience, you get to know a bit of local history while enjoying an evening cruise. The staff was polite, friendly and attentive. The food was tasty but I could have done without the gravy. But overall a great experience!
Food is ok First have is interesting, than boat turns around back to dock. Nothing much goes on for the last half of the cruise
The staff was great and the music was pleasant. The singer was hard to understand but he had a good voice. The most disappointing part was how small the meal was. My whole group left hungry which is sad after we paid almost $200 for the dinner cruise.
I was really impressed with the food on this tour. Everything was tasty and it was just the right amount of food. The way there was quite choppy and my friend got seasick. The crew was excellent. They brought her ginger ale, and ginger chews, told us the best place to sit was at the back of the boat and checked in a few times before we returned. The history provided was superficial, so that was disappointing. All in all, it was quite good.
The food, drinks and personal service was amazing! The best money we have spent so far on our vacation. 3 hours of enjoyment. We even saw pilot whales! What a treat.
Fun experience with a great crew who took care of us as if we were royalty. Our historian was very knowledgeable and gave us information in a clear and often humorous fashion. Dinner was delicious and the musical entertainment was lovely with a wide range of music.
Great evening cruise along the Big Island’s Kona coast! Food was very good, crew was very friendly, attentive, professional and the adult beverages were made with a lot of “love!”🍹 Live entertainment and historical dialogue was great! Would recommend this dinner cruise to anyone visiting the Big Island.
We had an enjoyable evening with the Kona Historical Sunset Cruise. From start to finish we were treated with friendly and attentive service that included a complimentary beverage and fun conversation. The historical commentator shared the island's history alternating with live music by a local musician. Even the Captain treated us to a solo! One in our party had a food sensitivity issue which was accommodated with a tasty substitution. The sun cooperated providing us with beautiful color and viewing Kona from the water was a treat. It was a vacation night well spent!
So fun! Spinner Dolphins swam along side of the boat on our way out and on our way back! Manta Rays joined them on the way out! Fun was good, entertainment was fun we all sang along with many of the song. Information was great and Captain and Crew were amazing and the views were incredible ♥️
