Wonderful from beginning to end. The food was fabulous. The show was amazing. The service was excellent.
The dancers, both women and men, were wonderful. The food was delicious with a variety of dishes to choose from. Go for the salad first so your protein doesn't get cold. The setting was pure Hawai'i and quite lovely. There is parking for $5 at the host hotel if you are a there for the Luau.
Buffet was amazing! Dancers and musicians out on a great show! Glad we booked this luau. We enjoyed it!
Fun entertainment in a beautiful setting. Get there early, because everyone else does and seating is first come, first served.
We had a great time at the Luau. There was an abundance of food and drink and the show was an amazing experience.
The host was funny and engaging, the band was very good and the dancers were very fun to watch. The seating was a bit disorganized but overall a great experience
It was an amazing experience! The show was fantastic and the food good. It was one of our favorite things to do on the BI and would highly recommend it to anyone!
I have to admit we were one of the unlucky ones to be blessed by the Hawaiian rain, but the event team did an amazing job keeping everyone in high spirits! They handed out rain ponchos right away and generously offered refunds for anyone who preferred not to stay. Despite the weather, the food was delicious and the entertainment was wonderful. We had a great time and will definitely be back—though next time, with a little more sunshine, please!
The food was very good and the show is fun if not a little old fashioned. The table layout is such that if you are in the back and people stand up to film and take photos, you will be totally blocked. Please be considerate of others and stay seated! If not film from the back. Otherwise they should ban photos and videos as with other shows.
Everything was exceptional the service was very friendly, food was tasteful and entertainment was exhilarating
I've been to a luau before and I was not impressed by this experience. We showed up 15 minutes before the door opens and we waiting in line one hour to be seated as there was only one person checking people in. The show and the food were mediocre. Only one fire dancer. My husband did like the beer selection. The only thing that impressed me was the flavor of the pork and the prime rib. Overall, it was not a good value.
The food was Amazing! The performance was enjoyable and everyone wholeheartedly worked this event were friendly and professional. Definitely worth going and I’ve been to many Luau’s over 40 years!
Great food and service, show and entertainment premo! Great venue - nothing wrong with the sound of crashing waves in the background. Luckily it was cloudy so we did not experience the direct Sun but heard it’s hot when the Sun is direct.
This luau was fantastic! The food was great, the dancers were phenomenal, band was excellent, and the host was engaging, entertaining, and educational. Highly recommend.
The luau’s emcee was the star of the night. The food was OK. The entertainment was OK. The seating was disappointing, plastic chairs on the lawn that were very tightly packed. We’ve been to other luaus, and this one was our least favorite. Long slow line to get in & long slow lines for each of the buffet stations.
We’ve done various luaus at different islands, and this one was generally underwhelming. We spent the first 45 minutes in an inefficient check-in process, drinks weren’t very good, and food was ok. We were crammed in tables like sardines, and the show was a disappointment.
This luau was very nice and on the ocean. However, it doesn't get the 5 stars that we gave for the Luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center. If you can only go to one Luau, do the one at the Polynesian Cultural Center. If you are doing two, then this Luau would be the second best.
Buffet has expanded and was delicious. Show was the same story it has been for years, however the performance is always spectacular. Price has drastically increased.
This was a very interesting experience! The food was wonderful the show was even better. The staff was super friendly
We enjoyed all the choices available for food and drinks. The beautiful dancers were skilled, especially the performer who danced with flaming swords. The musicians were equally skilled, providing a native atmosphere all evening.
Oh my goodness the food 😋 so good! Dancers were amazing and the MC had jokes for days. Great experience and definitely recommend.
Everything was great except our waiter could have been more attentive. This was our 5 time back and we will be back again
This dinner is very well organized. The food is excellent. Alcohol is included as well. The show is very nice. The people are very friendly and they reimburse for parking.
We had an incredible time, didn’t know that to expect, this is way more than a dinner and show, this is an experience for all who attend.
Amazing experience! The atmosphere was great. The entertainment, drinks and food were a 10/10!!! So worth it!
Overall, we enjoyed the entire evening, and I would recommend it !! The food was very good, as well as the drinks. I've read a lot of reviews about watered down alcohol drinks, and while I'm not a drinking expert, I thought they tasted good. And our server kept the coming :). I never felt he was deliberately slow, just to save money. I even saw him dump out a few drinks that sat for a bit, where the melting ice truly did water down the drinks. So why not a 5 ? It was expensive. There were a lot of food choices, and most very good, but for that price, I guess I expected great. Same with the dancers...very good, but maybe not great.
Arrive at the time suggested by the organizers. Seating is assigned by the host; however, it typically is on a first come, first serve basis. The event was very well organized. Food was served buffet style and tables were released in an orderly fashion. The food and drinks were delicious! Waiters were very attentive and were prepared with drink refills. The Polynesian dancers were impressive with all of the different styles of dances representing the Polynesian cultures throughout.
Horrible expensive we arrived and they had us one hour line: they make everyone at the end of the line enter through the VIP (without being VIP cause we heard) and we stayed last ones. When finally we entered we were sited at the end no view and my girl was late for a craft. The food was not good and the show was boring
Food was great and so was the show.
My mom and I are visiting the Big Island for the first time. This was our first activity for our trip, and it was such a great way to start the trip. We had a great time and also learned some Hawaiian history. It was filled with entertainment, food and drinks.
This luau had everything! A whole roasted pig, steak, chicken, seafood, even several kinds of poi to try. The wait staff were prompt, friendly and courteous. The entertainment was fun to watch!
Very fun the buffet has so many options and the entertainment is the best part! Watching how they cooked the pig was cool and the view of the bay was stunning.
Wonderful experience. The food was good. The entertainment (MC & Dancers) very good. The Fire Dancer was excellent!
It was a great experience. Food was great and the entertainment is highly rated. Resort went all out to make you feel welcomed and everyone was friendly.
Cost was way higher than value. The food was mediocre at best. The entertainment was fairly well done.
Food and entertainment was exquisite loved the atmosphere and origination of moving a large group of people effectively
The dinner was huge and very well done, the show was entertaining and the staff were great. No complaints at all.
It was MAGICAL 😍 beautiful, creative, food was delicious, i enjoyed every minute of the whole show.. beautiful waves, as well SUNSET !!!
Relaxing, entertaining and educational. The food was amazing but the dancers and atmosphere was unmatched. a must see event if traveling to Kona
All the food and drinks you could want. Excellent service and fantastic show. Beautiful setting. Totally enjoyed it!!
Had such a great time. Wonderful story telling and delicious food. Would recommend getting there before the 445 recommended time. Check-in desk makes a long line for there is only one person working it.
Mel is a super knowledgeable tour guide and he was very accommodating as well. I requested to be dropped off at the airport on the day of the tour instead of the original pickup point and he made sure I got to the airport on time.
Entertainment was great! Food was great! There were several gluten free options for my daughter to choose from. It is often hard to find a place to eat that offers gluten free options other than salads. I was surprised to have to pay for parking at the resort where the luau occurred. I believe parking should be included. The only other negative I have is the seating is in a parking area beside the resort and the pavement slants. I was afraid I was going to slide into the person sitting below me. That part was very uncomfortable. For the most part, my family enjoyed our first luau.
The show seemed too short for price. Buffet style meal meant waiting in long line for food that didn't seem warm enough. Encouraged to go back but food was put away quickly at start of show. Tried to get utensils for dessert and all was put away. After show it felt like "bums rush" to leave area ! Chairs being stacked and removed as soon as people got up! We had many cameras on selfie sticks being held in front of us at our table which made viewing difficult.
Good food and a good show. Not much else to say about this. Thank you very much and go if you can…..
This is such a great luau. Second time I have done this one and does not disappoint! Great food! Great show! Non alcoholic drinks are better than the included alcoholic ones - but that is the worst I can say. I would definitely recommend this luau as a must do!
Great first luau experience!! We read a lot of reviews saying this was the best one and while I have nothing to compare it to, it truly exceeded my expectations. Dancers and music was fantastic and food was really good and plenty of choice!!
Food was great. Even better than expected. Especially the kaluau pig and rib eye. Entertaining show.
First of all, I would never suggest booking this luau through a second party. The communication from the second party indicated to us that if was a rain “ if the luau is canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date, if available, or a refund. But I started getting text from the luau stating that if it rained, they were gonna move it indoors cause it had been raining that day and then their payout for rain was ridiculously tiny like 25% and it moved up to the most I think was 50%. The food was very good at night as well as the entertainment, but I felt like they could’ve also accommodated people with younger children to tables a little to the stage. We had a set spot since there was six of us, but we had two kids that were nine so it was hard for them tosee about some of the adults in front of them the show. They could’ve easily accommodated people with small children towards the front more as our seats were reserved. Anyway this could’ve been done without having to pay VIP prices to sit the closest to the stage.
