Great tour guide and bus driver . Love the connection and Ohana we made . Also love hearing everything about the whole island of Maui/Hawaii.

The tour is a bit long but the volcano and crater were great and the views were magnificent. Wendell was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. He made the history and traditions of Hawaii come alive
One of the best tours we have done primarily because our tour guide Rory was fantastic. The areas we visited were beautiful. However what made it even better was that Rory was more than just a tour guide. He injected his love of his Hawaiian heritage and surroundings and shared it with us which made the trip even more meaningful.
Preston our tour guide did a FANTASTIC job. He made it fun and very informative.
Good trip was awesome i can repeat it
Sale was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable
Sale was INCREDIBLE. Seriously, if you're thinking about booking this tour... do it. He was so knowledgeable, empathetic, and honestly just wise. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and by the end of the day the whole bus felt like one big family. I learned so much, stepped way outside my comfort zone, and actually swam by a waterfall! I made so many new friends, and I always felt safe because safety was clearly his number one priority, which I really appreciated. Also... not gonna lie, my favorite part of the whole tour was watching him feed the chickens. 😂 It was such a small moment, but it showed what a huge heart he has. You can tell he genuinely cares about animals, nature, and people. And the surprise at the end?! I won't spoil it, but I absolutely loved it. Thank you so much, Sale, for giving me one of my favorite memories from Hawaii. This was easily one of the best days of my trip. ❤️
Took the tour on 5/29/26. This was an interisland booking. Left (via car rental) the Disney Aulani Hotel in Ko Alina at 3:45 AM to be sure to make the 5:50 AM Southwest Airlines flight. Be sure to park in Terminal 2 Parking if you have to check into the Southwest Kiosk for your tickets. Arrived and picked up by tour operator with no delays. The black tour vehicle looked new and was very clean inside. Cookies and water were available during the tour. The tour operator talked a lot about Maui (points of interest, culture and history). Hiakalea was fantastic and you had the option of walking up to the Summit, where the photo ops were perfect. The food at the General Store was delicious and quickly served. The distillery tour was very enjoyable with many different tastings. Came back in plenty of time to make the 7 PM flight back to Oahu. My family of 4 definitely thought the tour was worth the money.
Very interesting! Did not see everything listed, unsure because of recent flooding
Our tour guide, Alberto (aka Al Pachino), was superb. Very knowledgeable and personable. This really was a comprehensive tour, taking us to the top of Haleakala, then to see the Finger of God, and experience a delicious tasting at Haliimaile Pineapple Distillery. A nice lunch was also included at the restaurant near the distillery. All in all, it was a great way to spend the day.
Kamala was very knowledgeable and patient with our difficult group. He is highly recommended! Worth the long day………..
Was expecting more. I realize this was a crater tour, but thought there would be more along the way. Gabriel tried to make the tour interesting, but there was not a lot to work with.
Dino took us on an amazing tour of Maui that included Haelekala National Park and crater. Took beautiful pictures. Then a delicious lunch that was incredible and more
Driving was cool Preston did what he was suppose to do and than some. The sights were amazing view was to die for. The food was great again Preston made it to where he made it way easier and better for the food service to do there job as well.
Gabriel was great! Very informative, kind, and helpful. The best tour guide we’ve had on our trip. No one compares. Thanks!
I rate the excursion as a 5. Gabriel was the best driver and very knowledgeable with everything regarding our trip, and things of Maui. He’s also a very safe driver as the road to Haleakala was very difficult! Our trip was the Best of Maui. Great and would recommend to anyone! Thank you Gabriel.
Best of Maui with Gabriel Gabriel was great and very knowledgeable. So thankful for the tour providing the transportation up the curvy road. That would have been scary for me to drive on my own.
Best trip ever, I highly recommend 10/10. You can do a cruise to Hawaii, visit the islands then finish off in Kahului. Make sure you visit the Maui Ocean Center.
Alfredo our tour guide was informative and professional! His knowledge of the island was extensive and impressive! The tour was so much fun. Haleakala was massive, spiritual and very chilly. Definitely dress in layers. Lunch at Hailiimaile General Store was fantastic! We were hungry and ready to eat. The portions were generous, the service was prompt, and the food was onolicious! The distillery was a great after lunch activity and super informative. This was a wonderful land tour for everyone to enjoy!
Alfredo was a Great tour guide and great great driver and very knowledgeable and informative. He made the tour so very enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you Ron Reeder
Great description of the sightseeing and entire trip. Patient with the passengers. Great sense of humor. Always told us what to expect in advance.
Alfredo was wonderful. I felt very safe and he took us to all the most scenic locations. I would recommend him highly. He was also very considerate and provided adequate bathroom stops
Had a very nice time on the tour. Our tour guide ( Mitchell) was very informative, super nice, and has awesome stories to tell. The bus vehicle itself was spacious and clean. Would definitely book again and go for the sunset tour.
We have been to Maui a number of times but have never done an organized tour. We did the Best of Maui day trip with Mitchell. It was a great day with Haleakala summit being the highlight.
Saleis did an excellent job touring us road to Hana. Excellent entertainer we all enjoyed the history behind everything . We had well over 18th stops and lunch and snacks were healthy and fantastic. The bus was ell kept clean and he was very considerate to older tourists.
The sights themselves were beautiful. There is a lot to see. The drivers were very friendly and informative. The description says it is about 9 and a half hours, we got about 7 and a half with driving. Pick up time was changed from 6 to 7 and we're late at picking us up, at about 730. Then we drove to a store parking lot where we waited about another half hour. Throughout the trip we were rushed because there was another gentleman who booked a different excursion that he had to be at by 2:30 pm The drive up the mountain is pretty smooth, if you can do it on your own. Would not recommend for this price.
Sal was a great Driver and Tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and fun. Definitely worth the money for not having to drive . Overall a great Tour.
This tour was great. The views riding up to Haleakala were amazing as was the view at the top. We got to stop for lunch in a small town and wander around and get our own lunch. It was a lot of fun. The only complaint I have is the time at Iao Valley was very brief and rushed. There is so much to see in this park a separate day is required.
21 of august 2024! Great time !! Our guid was emazing!!!! Thank u for everything…. Very nice experience … everything has been perfect
Wow!!! What a great experience!! It was beyond my expectations. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. I truly recommend this tour. My husband and I loved it!
I was very happy with this tour choice. It was the right amount of time for us as it is not an entire day one. The views up in the mountain from the crate are amazing. The tour finishes it up in Lao Valley which is a nature paradise. Our tour guy was amazing. We learned a lot about the Hawaii history and the Maui situation from him.
We had wonderful experience and company was great . People are nice and worth the visit. People are nice and cooperative. Beautiful weather and very soothing experience.
We enjoyed the hotel pickup and return Polynesian Adventures provided. We had a knowledgeable and friendly guide take us to many scenic areas of Maui. The trip was a good amount of time, not too long or too short. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the experience! Driver was late to pick up but we received notification that he was running late. Great communication.
Seeing the crater with all the colors and the views. The History the legends. How Maui was created from two different volcanoes that eventually connected to become the island we know today.
Canceled by tour provider and it was perfect weather don’t book they will just cancel on you rent fa car and drive the island
Carly was an amazing driver. Learned a lot about the history, culture and language of Hawaii. Really enjoyed our trip.
Carly was amazing and we learned so much about Maui. The bus was comfortable and the destinations were interesting
We really enjoyed our tour with Uncle Mitch. We were a small group of eight so had a lot of chances to ask questions and learn about Maui and the sights we were visiting. The only negative was being dropped off at the mall for lunch. A local restaurant or food truck would have been better but not a dying mall.
Carly was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The trip to the top of the volcano and state park was wonderful. Thanks for the breathing tips.
This was a great tour! Loved the information about the island and culture on the way. It made the drive to the crater go much quicker.
Salesi is awesome! Amazing places to enjoy with the people. Thank you for the great tour! Highly recommend☝🏻
Salesi was an amazing guide who created an experience going through the entire Road to Hana. He made sure to accomodate any requests and pointed out plenty of interesting history and facts about our surroundings that we may have otherwise missed if we did not drive with a guide.
We took this tour today through NCL and Preston was our guide. He was wonderful! We couldn’t have asked for a better day to see the crater and have him as our guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning on this tour.
Breathtaking views and wonderfully contrasting scenery, knowledgeable tour guide made the whole thing come together
Carly was wonderful. Great driving and enjoyed talking with her. Knowledgeable about the area. Loved her nail polish!
Our trip to the volcano and sites along the way was amazing. We enjoyed the history and culture that our tour guide Henry presented to us. We also asked lots of questions, which he answered . Polynesian Adventures was fantastic.
Nettie was amazing. 10/10 recommend a tour with her up the mountain. She was extremely informative and gave us correlations to what we were viewing and experiencing on the mountain to other experiences we had on the island prior to her tour. It was great to feel how everything tied together historically. And the views were outstanding!
This was hands down my favorite part of my trip to Maui. Being atop the crater brings this sense of serenity and really puts life into perspective. It's so quiet up there! Our tour guide had the most soothing, yet engaging voice. He took pictures of us and shared so much useful, memorable pieces of information/tips with us. If I get the chance to go back to Maui, I'd definitely do this tour again. As other reviewers have said, it does get cold up there, so definitely pack a sweater or light jacket. Sneakers or hiking shoes are also preferred.
This was a great tour. We learned some of Maui’s history saw breathtaking sites. This is a great tour.
We enjoyed the views on top of Haleakala. Iao Needle area was so lush and green. The hills and mountains looked like something out of a Jurassic Park movie. The town we ate in had cute little boutiques and shops. We ate at Freshies which lived up to its name. We had fresh tacos and the burrito. So good! Unfortunately our driver was 25 minutes late. I was trying to get a hold of anybody to let me know if the tour was still on or cancelled. Very stressful! We made many stops to pick up people. The tour never really started until after 8 am. We were to be picked up at 620. So, it started out very late. We had more bathroom breaks than I have ever had on a tour. So, although the dormant volcano, Iao Needle, and the small boutique town were cool, other parts of this tour made for a very long boring trip. I would not recommend Polynesian tours.
