We really wanted to love this experience! It appears to be a small, locally run farm, and we genuinely appreciate people working hard to build something of their own. Unfortunately, the experience was quite different from what we expected. The farm provided excellent directions, although the drive into the parking area was a little challenging, with terrain where a vehicle could easily get stuck. Upon arrival, we were greeted at a small hut by our guide. While pleasant enough, our guide was extremely quiet and didn't offer much interaction or information. Unless we asked questions, we essentially sat in silence, which made the experience rather awkward. The activity was advertised as hand-feeding, bottle-feeding, and cuddling baby goats. However, there was only one four-month-old goat and three adult females. There was no bottle-feeding, and hand-feeding wasn't really part of the experience either. Toward the end, our guide put some feed into a bucket, but that was about it. We spent nearly an hour sitting and petting whichever goats happened to wander over. The goats were sweet, but without any educational information, guided interaction, or the advertised feeding activities, this felt more like a quick walk-up petting zoo than a scheduled hour-long experience. We truly hope this little farm succeeds! With more engaging guides, structured activities, and clearer descriptions of what guests can expect, this could become a really charming experience. For us, though, it was unfortunately awkward and underwhelming, and not quite worth the time or cost.

Reviews
The idea of this ranch is great. We love the idea of visiting a coffee farm and planting a coffee tree. We love the idea of cuddling baby goats and visiting a petting zoo. The reality is disappointing. We opted to cuddle baby goats based upon the reviews of the coffee farm not being worth the money. We paid ~$50 each and reserved our spot with the goats. When we arrived, the gate code didn't open the gate. We had to call to get someone to drive up the very long driveway to reset the gate and let us in. When we arrived at the check-in office, we were greeted by friendly staff and were informed we were the only ones heading out to the goats. We were accompanied by a very nice ranch worker and his son. Once we reached the goat area, we found out that the only "baby" was a 4 month old goat. There were two pregnant goats but no babies. All the goats were super friendly and the "baby" was very sweet. There was no clean place to sit down but we enjoyed our visit with the goats. I would have appreciated knowing the number of "babies" and the ages before booking so we would know what to expect. We were told they will be moving the ranch to a more convenient location so we understand things are being moved and rebuilt but they should not be charging as much as they do for an experience that is not exactly as described. Once we left and drove up the long rough road, the gate once again was not working. We waited 20 minutes in the car for someone to drive up and let us out. It was not best experience and it was over priced. I hope that when they move the ranch, they will be able to build up the experience to be worth the price.
Baby goats with Bishop super fun!!!
Our guide Bishop was great! We had a wonderful experience. The goats, chickens, and pig were adorable and very friendly. Bishop was extremely knowledgeable and kind. We would definitely return!
Goat cuddling was a perfect family experience. Rachel was a great guide and was very knowledgeable about all the animals and their personalities. We got to see a newborn goat and another a few days old. Great way to spend an hour in the afternoon.
Had a great time with Tita the mini pig, chickens, rooster and goats like Veronica, Oreo and Bilbo. Wanted to take Tita home. Can get a little muddy but worth it. Road coming in is a little rough, glad we were in suv. Cosmos was good mini tour guide and helped us and answered questions we had about the animals. Worth it.
Absolutely adorable baby goats and pig! If you are an animal lover, this is s must do! The best time!
Wear sneakers and prepare to fall in love with the goats, chickens and mini pigs that arrive to get treats
We had a great time on this ranch! Justin is Super friendly and welcoming. Rain or shine they still do the tours, there was a tent in the area you will do the goat cuddling. We still enjoyed the entire experience during the wet weather. Definitely coming back to try the ATV tour they offer.
Amazing experience. Justin was the best, super informative and helpful.
We had a wonderful experience. Our guide, Pono, went above and beyond to make sure this unique experience was truly memorable. We got to feed and hold the baby goats, learn about their care, learn about Ohana Ranch, and meet some of the other animals. Highly recommend!
We had the best experience getting to cuddle and feed baby goats! Our guide, Justin, was very informative and kind. And all the goats were so friendly! Highly recommend this to anyone who loves animals!
Great startup, love to see structures being built. Although Justin is new, his passion and love for the animals shines through. Heartwarming to watch the goats enthusiasm when he approaches.
It's good for kids You can see baby goats pigs
JUSTIN IS SO KIND AND AMAZING he was super informal and made everything fun. I really enjoyed the time we spent here even though it was raining. Which i loved since it made our stay longer and more memorable. Thank you do much for this tour and hope you have a amazing day!!
Thank you Justin for such a great experience! I love goats so much so this was so special!
Justin was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The goats were sweet and adorable.
Justin was a great tour with lots of baby goats and a covered area! Lots of fun!
It was very fun and cute. Cosmo was a great guide and made the experience even more beautiful. The goats are very cute and friendly. 100% recommend.
Cosmos did a great job of showing us the farm and helping us feed the goats! Cuddling the goats was a very calming and positive experience!
Cosmos was amazing guide on our goat feeding tour! Definitely recommend, coming back soon for another experience!!!!
Fabulous cuddle session. Loved our time with the goats. Staff and owner were very kind, and shared a lot about the history of the land and the island. Peaceful and relaxing experience. Coffee and other items available were delicious.
Kalani, Kamalani, and Kekai were all great! We took our 2 year old to see the goats and he loved playing with all the animals on the farm. The hosts were all great with our son and we also learned a ton about the island and other great things to do while we were on the island. We'll definitely be coming back any time we're on the island!
The goats and a pig we met were friendly. Pono, our guide, was the highlight however. While we didn’t bottle feed any babies (goats are gonna goat and you should be flexible! We were not disappointed), we had an amazing experience speaking with Pono and learning about his family history on the island. They also have a gift shop with their own products. Coffee, handmade crafts, jerky, etc. We picked up some delicious coffee.
Pono was amazing and a great wealth of knowledge. The goats are very cute and fun to pet.
Kanoe was exceptional! Her and her dog Braddah Boy are the best to pet the goats and the chickens with! Kanoe was running around catching chickens for my son to hold and would keep bringing the goats back .
Amazing experience, the goats are very nice and cute! I definitely recommend visiting and learning about the Hilo culture!
Very friendly and knowledgeable. We ran late but got us in.tiara was excellent. Gave us information on the farm.we will be back when more time
We loved the tour with Kanoe! We learned about a lot of the history of not just Ohana Ranch but also Hawaii! Saw a lot of the plants and animals and loved learning about the food making process! We were having a hard time finding a tour that talked about Hawaiian culture and were really happy we got to experience a tour that did that! Highly recommend! Mahalo!
It was so much fun! Kanoe was our tour guide and she was one of the owners. We held chickens, played with goats, and her dog. Beautiful ranch, they offer a lot of activities. They are very welcoming. I love everything about this place.
Great time and experience. The guide was fabulous. I would highly recommend for families with small children. Be prepared for showers in the area though but they have all the rain gear you will need, too.
Robert was amazing! very friendly and knowledgeable! would recommend, would come again!! the goats were also very friendly and snuggly
We had a great time being with the goats, chickens and potbellied pigs! Sam shared some incredible information about the farm and the local culture and even helped catch some of the little piglets for us so that we could see them. He was a wonderful guide. I would make sure to wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty as the goats did not mind getting up close and personal when it came time to feed them. We had a great time!
We loved our time at the ranch yesterday! Kanoe was our hostess and she was so relaxed, knowledgeable and caring. We started with bottle feeding one month old goats and then hand fed some of the cutest mini-pigs ever. Then we were allowed to wander the enclosure and interact with them for over an hour. It was delightful! I highly recommend the ranch for this, or any other adventure they offer. They’re great people!
We had a blast at Ohana Ranch! Pono helped us feed the baby goats, and was a wealth of knowledge about the area. The animals were adorable and the ranch was beautiful. Would strongly recommend to anyone and everyone. 6/5 stars if we could.

This experience was so great! Bo was awesome and made plenty of really cool local recommendations in between goat petting. The goats are adorable and cuddly and soooo silly. My partner and I loved this experience! Bo went out of his way to make sure we got as much goat fun as possible, taught us some Hawaiian language, and showed us some cool stuff along the way. 10/10
Great experience, whole family loved it The baby goats were so loving and friendly! Thank you so much for having us kanoe and bo will be recommending to others 😊
Robert is dope!!! We had tons of fun on the e tour he was very educational and learned tons about local Hawaiin off grid living
We had an amazing experience with Kanoe feeding the baby goats! The goats were really nice and friendly. The chicken liked to hang out on my shoulder as well.
Kanoe was an awesome guide for the goat cuddling experience! She was very chill and taught us a lot about goats and the land that her and her family live off of. Very down to earth and easy to talk with! Thanks for the awesome time! This was even better than we could have imagined!
Bottle feeding and cuddle goats was awesome! Our guide Kanoe was very knowledgeable other things we can do in Hawaii as well as Hawaiian traditions.
My son, daughter-in-law, two grandkids and I went to this ranch today. All of us had a great time enjoying the goats, the chickens, learning about this ranch and.Kanoe. This experience was off the beaten track and totally worth it! I was truly impressed with Kanoe and hope that all her vision and dreams flourish. She has a wonderful heart.
We have so much fun we took our grandkids they love it they enjoy every single minute Elizabeth love feeding the goats and Zane love everything also Kanoe was nice she took us all over the ohana ranch to see the horses, cows, pigs we really love it!!!! …… I really recommend to go and do this beautiful experience with your family 🙌🏻🫶❤️🤗…..also we didn’t make it the first time and the was so kind that they give us the opportunity to reschedule again thank you 🙏🙌🏻👏🏻🫶❤️🤗
We had an amazing time feeding the baby goats and learning about the ranch. Learning more about Hawaii and how the ranch works was very informative and well worth the trip. I would only caution that the road to get down to the experience was pretty rocky and tough to navigate. We learned the roads are still around from the mid 1850s but more than a little rocky and rough on a rental car. I would recommend a 4 wheel drive to get there or maybe have cars park at the top of the road and shuttle guests down via ATV. We had a minivan and had trouble going up hill to exit the ranch.
