Arrival Transfer: Kona International Airport (Koa) To Hotels - Big Island

Driver was timely and very knowledgeable about the island

Rowan was at the airport when the plane landed. He was courteous, friendly and drove comfortably and skillfully. The price was reasonable.

I used VIP Trans for transfer between the Kona airport and Kailua-Kona hotel where I was staying. Both transfers were on time, and the drivers were pleasant. I recomend this business for Kona transfers.

There was no one to greet us at the airport. I rang VIP asking where our driver was. The operator informed me that I had American Airlines flight ( which was later). I may have have incorrect airline code but the flight number and time was correct. The was no communication with me prior advising me where to meet and at what time. If they had confirmed this prior I would have clarified our flight. The operator told me we had to wait for 1 hour. It was very hot, and we couldn’t go back into the airport to wait. I told them to cancel the transfer and we had to then get a taxi costing us $40 USD. I wasn’t happy.

One star. You know how there's always one thing that goes wrong on a trip? This was that thing. They advertise a driver waiting at arrivals with a sign. There was neither, just a "call us when you have your bags." We did, then waited 20+ minutes past the 15 they quoted. When a vehicle finally showed, it zipped past us, we chased it down the street with our luggage, and it wasn't even our ride. They eventually got us on another one that had pulled up behind, pretty sure that one wasn't really ours either, but she took us to the hotel. The return was no better. We asked for a pickup an hour later since we didn't need three hours at the airport, and they said no. Not couldn't, wouldn't due to policy that it had to be three hours early. We couldn't even manage our own schedule. Would not book again.

Driver was waiting for us upon arrival. She helped with our luggage and gave us a brief tour on our way to the hotel.

We were never picked up. I called to notify them that we had landed . I was told it was raining so they would be a little late picking us up ( about 25 min. ). 40 minutes later I called for an ETA we were told that one couldn't be provided . We requested a refund and caught a cab ( roughly 54$ dollars) to get to the hotel. The next day I called to speak to someone but I was quickly dismissed. I was disappointed by this because it became my first impression of the Island. It was a long flight and all we wanted to do was get to the hotel and unwind

Driver was on time and very pleasant and helpful. Gave some restaurant tips for dinner. Van was very clean and a nice ride from Kona Airport to Waikoloa Hotel.

My driver tried to call me repeatedly when I was still on the plane and couldn’t answer and then by the time I got to baggage claim she was already gone. When I called her, she said well I tried to call you and then she left and said I have another pick up at 7:45. I will try to come back so I ended up having to pay for another car.

Staff were very professional and helpful. Our driver Chris was there upon our arrival ready to welcome us with a big smile and a helping hand. He drove us to our hotel safely and even gave us tips about the area. He was so friendly with my kids as well.

Excellent service ! My flight was delayed , yet the driver ( lady ) came and was waiting . The ride was very comfortable and prompt to the hotel and she being a local gave me tips for my stay!

This is the best alternative to an expensive Uber ride. Great price, flexible scheduling, and very friendly, helpful drivers.

We were not given pick-up details from the shuttle operator, so waited ages and looked around all the obvious places to meet. Eventually we found the driver just sitting in his van, he had made no effort to look for us or even get out of his van. It was a very frustrating transfer that could have been done better with Uber.

Driver was at the airport waiting for us. She shared info about Hawaii on the ride to the resort. She was very nice and a safe driver.

Confirmed pickup day before, was greeted at baggage claim by Nel with a smile and my name. Nel give me a bit of history and knowledge on the way to my hotel. Overall very pleased with my experience.

Confirmed transfer 24hrs prior. Had to make 3 calls and wait over an hr at pickup when arrived at airport

We booked the shuttle for transportation from the airport to our condo. Our flight was well over an hour late but they checked in with us and were waiting by the time we got our luggage. The website said the driver would be at the luggage area with a sign and our name on it but instead advised us over the phone. Unfortunately we misunderstood and walked all over looking for the van. The driver was friendly and courteous. He even waited at the office while we got the keys and to us directly to our room. Overall a very good experience

If you read the description, and how you will be met, or the help that you will receive; you will be disappointed. I was not expecting a grand gesture for the price of the ride as it is the cheap, just a driver with right shirt color shirt for identification as listed or even be at the location stated at the baggage claim would have been nice. I had to hunt and search for the van and knock on the door for the driver to become aware we were there. In addition, I had to ask for his help and walk him to the baggage claim - 100 Ft from the street to get his help, again per the description of what they state they will provide. Eric

It was wonderful to have met Emily right at the baggage carousel! Nice to be greeted with a friendly face! We were exhausted from the flight, and so grateful that Emily insisted that she load our bags...she also suggested some nice places to have lunch and dinner as we made our way to the hotel. I would definitely recommend that visitors take advantage of the convenience of this shuttle service to and from the airport when visiting!

Our drivers going and leaving our hotel to and from the airport were great. Both George and Kelvin were there to great us and made our trips enjoyable. Kelvin realized that the main road was blocked so he took us on the scenic route which was fun. I can’t say enough good things about this service. Mahalo

What a trash service. Completely unreliable, terrible customer service. When we tried to schedule our pickup back to the airport, they gave us ONE option 3 HOURS ahead of the flight and said that’s their “terms and conditions” which are not written or communicated anywhere and they decide your timeline. The last thing you want to deal with on vacation. They’re also double the price of just getting an uber. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this scam.

THE DRIVER WAS WAITING FOR MY HUSBAND AND I AT THE AIRPORT WHEN WE ARRIVED WHICH WAS VERY SATISFYING AND REWARDING. BUT WHEN I GOT TO KNOW THE DISTANCE FROM THE AIRPORT TO MY RESORT (ABOUT 10 -12 MINS), THE AMOUNT CHARGED WAS OVERBOARD. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANOTHER TRAVELER.

I had to wait for the driver for approximately 15 minutes and had to call to get him to come. At this price I would expect him to be waiting with a name sign or at least be at the curb
