Afternoon Adventure Snorkel From Ka'anapali

We were looking for a smaller snorkel tour and Magic Merman not only didn’t disappoint but was awesome! Loved the personal attention and service to give us an incredible experience! Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on this snorkeling tour in Maui! From start to finish, the entire crew was friendly, professional, and made us feel so welcome. I especially want to mention how kind and attentive they were to my 8-year-old son. They went out of their way to make sure he felt comfortable, safe, and included, which made the experience even more special for both of us. The entire trip was enjoyable, well organized, and exceeded our expectations. We couldn't have been happier with the service and the experience as a whole. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui. Thank you for helping us create such wonderful memories!

We had an amazing time on this tour! Austin made the booking process seamless, and despite most other tours being canceled due to a South Swell, this crew safely got us out on the water. The boat was excellent, the staff was incredibly friendly, and they are one of the few charters willing to accommodate non-swimmers. Even with a 1-to-20 instructor-to-guest ratio, our guide did a fantastic job taking the time to point out marine life and coral. Our only critique is regarding their accommodations for non-swimmers. Since they take pride in welcoming non-swimmers, we felt they could provide a bit more dedicated attention and a wider variety of flotation gear. There were only two boogie boards available on board, though they did have plenty of noodles and flotation belts which ultimately allowed our family to have a great time. And also, should probably have one of the crew members get some videos or photos for memories. We had no time to capture those. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would definitely book again!

The rigid hull inflatable is super comfortable (storage under seats) and they provided nice gear (float belts, wetsuit top, mask, snorkel, sunscreen), as well as a light breakfast (grapes, orange wedges, banana bread), canned beverages (juices, tea, soda, beer?) and a delicious lunch (turkey bacon or veg wrap & Maui chips). We enjoyed two excellent snorkel stops (near Cliff House and Baby Beach near submerged pier) and saw a large pod of dolphins each way. Austin & Derek run a fantastic operation and Shasta, a naturalist, was in the water with us pointing out fish, eels, urchins, turtles and a few harmless, white-tipped reef sharks asleep under the collapsed pier. This was one of the best snorkel excursions I've every experienced - highly recommend!

It was a great time. We only went for a couple hours, non alcoholic drinks were provided. The crew was great!

We had an amazing snorkeling experience thanks to Robbie! From start to finish, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely comfortable in the water. He took the time to explain everything clearly, pointed out incredible marine life we would’ve missed on our own, and truly cared about making sure everyone had a great time. They did a great job with my family of 6, our little ones age 4,7,11 all had a fantastic time. We had a particularly windy day and the captain and Shasta dis a great job finding a good spot to snorkel and to get us there safely. We had the best time!

Absolutely amazing experience! The entire team was fantastic from Austin, the owner who helped us schedule after our initial snorkel we scheduled was unfortunately not able to go out, to Cassie and Makiya! We did two stops and each one was beautiful, the water was clear, and you could tell they really made a point to drop us where we could see a lot of wildlife. We saw tons of fish, coral, Honus, and even a shark! 🦈 We highly recommend Austin and his team for an amazing adventure on Maui!! The customer service was top notch and the snorkel experience was a blast!

It was an amazing snorkeling experience. We got to see many turtles and fish. The coral reef was beautiful. Our guides were very professional and friendly. They made us feel very comfortable since we have snorkeled only a couple of times. They provided snacks and drinks also. Would definitely recommend this company.

This was the first time snorkeling and to be honest we didn't think we'd like it But....were we ever surprised! My husband and I are over 70 years of age and the captain and staff were very helpful and knowledgeable! The trip was smooth, we saw lots of fish and even roughly 1000 spinner dolphins surrounding our boat! I'd go with this crew anywhere!!!

A great afternoon adventure! Austin greeted us with a smile and made us feel comfortable. Captain Derek and guide Shasta were great with my 9yo and 7yo curious and active boys along with my 75yo mom. We felt very safe at all times and would definitely do a trip with this company in the future. This adventure was a must do while in Maui and we chose a company with a great reputation for safety and hospitality. We were amazed by all of the sea life we saw… more fish that I can name, Green Sea Turtles swimming all over, a huge reef shark, and fly by from a beautiful Eagle Ray.

Great tour! Crew were knowledgeable and super friendly. This was my first snorkeling excursion on Maui, and the only recommendation I would make would be to do a longer trip, as this was only 2 hours. And Magic Merman offers a longer one, so make sure you book with them!

The crew was great! They were Super informative about all the sea animals and attentive to every guest. I learned and saw more animals than I thought was possible! One of the crew even snorkeled with us and pointed out different animals. The whole trip was focused on the people on the boat and our needs. I loved the smaller atmosphere with a special personal touch! We were greeted by one of the owners and happy to support a local company. Would definitely recommend using this company!

This day trip was amazing. Took family of 14 and ranged from 9-65 an everyone loved it!!! The staff was amazing a Derek the owner was fantastic. Highly recommend!!

What an amazing trip! Took a special mother/daughter vacation with my 6 year old. I wanted her to see some sea life so we booked a snorkel tour with the magic merman. I can’t tell you how magical this was. She was a little nervous and the crew took the time to get her comfortable, talked to her about all the options for floating in the water, the sea life, the safety. She had a blast (as did I!). We saw turtles, SO MANY FISH, and dolphins at the end! The food was FANTASTIC and I can’t express how much I appreciate the crew. It’s a smaller boat which means more attention, flexible locations and overall just a better experience. We can’t wait to go back.

Incredible experience! The staff was amazing with my entire family. Some of the group weren’t the best swimmers but the crew of the Magic Merman took such great care of them. Plus we saw dolphins! Overall this was the best thing we did while on Maui and we can’t wait to go again.

Booked this tour for our honeymoon and so happy we did. The smaller group was perfect. The staff was so approachable and easy to speak with. Any questions we had they were easily answered. On our tour we had another couple and a family of 4. The guides assisted us all as needed. We had three snorkel stops. Each of them slightly different but each were so incredible. We went in middle of November which is early for whale watching. But the staff heard from other boats that were was a possibility of seeing one or two whales. Because we had such a small group we had the time to go out and try and see some whales. Unfortunately we couldn’t find any whales but it was a great experience. Lunch was good! Simple wraps and chips but it was so nice after an entire morning of swimming around. Definitely would recommend!

These guys were fantastic! Hanging w/ Brayden and Shasta made our trip. They all took their time to find us the best snorkeling spots and went out of thier way to talk to us along the way. I'm sure my son will never forget Shasta's bubble ring demonstration from 20' down:)

Amazing experience from start to finish! Booked this on our honeymoon. The crew is extremely friendly. Marina, Shasta, and Brayden were all amazing. The food was also incredibly delicious which I did not expect. The views you will see are one of a kind. The fish and sea turtles will wow you. I don’t have a waterproof camera but I wish I did! They have everything you’d need water, food, snacks, sunscreen, gear. So far it’s the highlight of our trip!

These guys are awesome! Our family of 5 went snorkelling. They are very organized and professional. Lots of service, never let you go thirsty. The first snorkelling site was so-so, not a lot of fish. They brought us to a second site with a destroyed pier that was an artificial reef - much better, tons of fish, a few turtles. They passed around home-made banana bread (no nuts!) and moist towels to wipe the salt water off your face at the end. I'd definitely recommend them.

The crew was great and very pleasant to be with. Shasta and Emma were so kind and helpful. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking for a fun adventure in Maui!

Snorkeling with the Magic Merman was the highlight of our trip to Maui. This was our first time snorkeling, and the guides' experience and knowledge made these 2 snorkeling newbies feel safe. My 11-year-old daughter was super excited to see the aquatic wildlife in person. Also, I appreciated the small touches, such as the banana bread, warm washcloth at the end, and the overall care provided by the guides. My husband and I did the snorkel tour and it was by far our favorite activity we did while on Maui. The crew was fantastic, the spots we snorkeled at were beautiful and full of wildlife and the snacks/food was great! We were able to see so many tropical fish, sea turtles, dolphins as well as sharks. It was an experience of a lifetime! I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Maui!

Our family really enjoyed snorkeling. Initially I panicked and didn’t go but Shasta was very kind to hold me with a floatie and take me out in the ocean to see some fish. I’ve been snorkeling several times before and never had anyone do that for anyone. Really amazing crew and wonderful afternoon adventure.

Great trip. Wife and I loved it. They made a slight detour to show us some spinner dolphins that were sited in the area, added the time to the tour so we did not miss any time for snorkeling. They provided drinks all day, fresh fruit for snacks and lunch from a local restaurant. Small guided tours of the two snorkeling areas was provided and greatly appreciated. The turtles in the area were friendly and curious about people.

Our family of four had not snorkeled or done a trip like this before and the experience and crew were unbelievably great - Friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. We thought it was a pricey when we signed up but in the end thought it was well worth the price. Highly recommend for anyone on the fence!
