2-hour Oahu Sunset Catamaran Sail

Our first full day in O’ahu Hawaii ended with an amazing Pacific sunset catamaran cruise with Ko Olina Ocean Adventures. The drinks, dinner choices, and a fun lively crew topped our expectations. We celebrated a 70th birthday with laughter, awesome beauty, and an appreciation for our blessings. The scenery was extraordinary- from the shore line to the awesome sunset. I highly recommend this trip, anytime during your stay!

We just went on a beautiful sunset cruise with Todd, Mystique, and Ethan. This was one of the best cruises we’ve ever had. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, the views were amazing and Todd played great music. We would 100% do this again. Definitely worth every penny. It was a great experience. There were only about 20 people on the boat total. Plenty of room to move around. The sunset cruise was definitely best for a romantic evening.

Nothing was as advertised. Horrible seating. You either had to sit on mattresses on the front of the boat, stand, or sit inside the boat where you couldn’t see anything. “Hawaiian” appetizers consisted of shreds of dry chicken and/or pork and white rice. Entitled to two drinks as opposed to the three advertised on their website. Saw the sunset but we were kicked off the boat before we could see the beautiful orange and red colors over the water. Would not recommend this excursion

Fantastic crew and evening trip. Location is great for MVCI guests and owners and a short walk away. The staff was friendly, the weather was great and we had a fantastic time. For guests at MVCI - this is a must do for your trip!

We had an amazing time on our sunset cruise. The crew were all very kind and personable and took time to visit with everyone. The catamaran we were on was very comfortable and clean and the crew made sure we had anything we needed throughout our time with them. Money and time very well spent, we would certainly go again.

Been on a few of these trips and this one is one of the very best. Captain and crew are great at welcoming and serving the guests. The catamaran is very very nice and super safe.

We have been on this cruise 20+ times as well as the snorkel sail and highly recommend these experiences. Very professional staff with phenomenal service! They truly go above and beyond to ensure you have a fantastic time. Amazing views, great drinks, food and music. Very easy access from the Koalina hotels.

We had a great time tho unfortunately we didn't see any dolphins. We wanted to avoid Waikiki and this was the perfect option. Food, drinks and great music. I would for sure go with these guys again. Maybe the 🦈 sharks next time if I can get the courage to do it!!

Unfortunately we received a cancellation via text message several hours before we were to go on the cruise , citing mechanical issues. I understand that these things happen but I wish they had let us know as soon as they thought there was an issue . As vacationers your time is limited and you plan your whole day around events like this. This was May 1 and they offered another date in mid May which we would have left the island by then. Our day would have looked alot different if we had known earlier that they had mechanical issues. I had to ask them for other alternatives which I think they should have offered without me asking.

Amazing experience aboard the catamaran. The boat was clean and the crew was very friendly. The standout was the crew. They were all incredible. The food was good and the drinks were strong and tasty. We were lucky to see some seals and a pod of whales. Highly recommend this experience.

We enjoyed this boat ride. It was easy to get there from our hotel in Ko Olina. You can also walk there if you are so inclined. Check-in was easy and crew was great - very chill and helpful. Drinks were plentiful and they had hearty small bites. My only feedback would be to inform that it's shoeless and it's maybe a little long with no "guide" or discussion about the area you are in. I would've loved to hear some history of where we were (and there were several kids/teens on ours). If it's not going to be guided, I would start at 5:30pm. Overall worth it -- we got a show from some friendly whales and the sunset was incredible even though it was a little cloudy.

My mom and I went on a sunset cruise that I booked directly from the website. The check in process was seamless and the staff was very friendly. The staff sat and chatted and were very hospitable with the appetizers and drinks. The boat was well kept and the views were amazing. Highly recommend them.

Weather was nice, wind good so we sailed a good percentage of the time. For a sunset cruise you can’t go wrong with this company.

Even though we didn’t see any whales or even a sunset (cloudy), the captain and crew were so friendly and helpful. They served the drinks quickly and frequently (open bar - recommend the naked pirate) and we had wonderful conversations with them and other passengers while we enjoyed cruising up the coast of Oahu.

This is such a lovely trip. We took this trip last year and enjoyed it so much, we had to do it again this year. The crew was so friendly and accommodating- Miriam, Jake, Kay and Ethan (I think I got the names right!). We saw whales as we enjoyed the setting sun. The food is delicious and fresh. And fun drinks - Pirate and Mermaid, as well as any drink you might prefer. I highly recommend this trip.

We arrived on time for check-in, but only about 8 of us were there at the required time. The remaining 20+ guests arrived about 10 minutes before departure and were still accommodated, which made the start feel confusing and poorly coordinated. We didn’t expect a sunset sail with nearly 30 people, especially since there were no seats—only nets. With that many people, the boat felt overcrowded, which made the experience feel unsafe and anxiety-inducing. Communication about where to meet was also unclear from the beginning.

My family and I were originally scheduled to go on this sunset sail on December 24th, 2025, but then bad weather and a poor sea state forced the cancellation of that sail. Fortunately, we were able to re-schedule that sail for January 1st, 2026. The staff were very accommodating, skilled and very professional. they provided for our related needs and wants and made it a great sail into sunset. They put us in great spots to see whales and dolphins up close out and sea. My whole family enjoyed it greatly. We highly recommend this sunset sail to others visiting Hawaii.

We had a WONDERFUL time on the sunset cruise. We actually decided to stay on the boat after our lunch/snorkel trip because the crew was so wonderful and we felt so cared for. Food was surprisingly good en route to the sunset. Sunset seemed to be extra beautiful and there was clearly careful positioning of the boat to make sure that ALL passengers got a wonderful view regardless of where they were sitting on the boat - everyone got terrific pictures! Totally no pressure trip. Going north from Ko'olina is so much more beautiful than going out from Waikiki IMO between the open ocean, the mountain views, and the NO CROWDS! Will book this cruise again next year when we come back!

You should know if travel from Waikiki to get to this location Viator says 40 minute travel time. We left Waikiki at 3 pm for a 4:30 sailing and traffic is so horrible we didnt get there till 4:48 pm and missed our cruise with 10 people in our party. Thankful the company offerred to put us on the next days sailing. But dont look forward to that drive another time. But glad we didnt totally lose our $1000 payment. It wasnt the companys fault but advertising should reflect the realistic travel time in Honolulu

Wow! This was an incredible experience! We were on a family vacation (ages 18-62) and everyone enjoyed this! The Staff was so sweet and fun. They provided drinks and snacks. The boat was great! The location was away from the craziness of the city and was so beautiful. They played great music. I love that there were places to sit either inside or outside, or up on top. It was a great and relaxing way to see the gorgeous sunset! This was a 10/10!

Beautiful sunset cruise! The captain and crew were very personable. The appetizers and drinks were part of the paid ticket. Food was good. The small appetizer box consisted of hummus, crackers, cheese, salami, blueberries, craisins and a piece of chocolate. There was a second small container of shrimp cocktail. Right amount of food and drinks for a lovely sunset cruise. Highly recommended.

The sail was a perfect way to end a beautiful day at the beach. The ride was breathtaking and the crew and snacks were great. It was so good that we were able to pick up the ride only five minutes from our hotel in Ko Olina instead of driving to Waikiki.

What an amazing evening! The whole crew was fantastic: Todd gave us tips for exploring Oahu and even gave us - free of charge - snorkelling equipment to use for our road trip the next day; Jacqui (I hope I’m spelling that right!) was amazing, combining her day job (tirelessly serving the guests) with entertaining our 7 year-old for the whole trip. The boat was skippered by an amazing young woman, which our daughter found totally inspiring. The young man completing the crew was, simply put, a great guy, making us feel incredibly welcome. The tunes were great, the snacks were great and the sunset was unparalleled. Best thing we’ve done on Oahu, so far.

Great, well kept boat. Friendly, professional crew. Great drinks and really tasty snacks. All around great trip! Would absolutely do this again on our next trip back to Ko'olina! Was a 10 minute walk from the Marriott too - so convenient! The snacks were chips, shrimp cocktail and a little charcuterie board with cheese, nuts, dried fruit, fresh grapes and blueberries, salami and prosciutto - such a great spread! Even saw dolphins off the boat on our cruise. Amazing value!

This was a last minute adventure for our family to wind-down our 2 weeks in Hawaii and what a way to go out! Jake and the crew were awesome. So nice, helpful, eager to make our sail pleasurable. Plus the charcuterie snacks and beverages were great (be sure to try the mermaid thing…tasty!) We were fortunate enough to have perfect weather for our sunset sail, all topped off with Capt Jake’s perfect playlist.

A great experience and I would definitely book again. Captain T and the crew were amazing on our sunset cruise. The crew was very friendly and took great care of us. Cruise was may 19th , I don’t remember everyone’s name but they were all great and helpful.

This is the BEST cruise - and crew - there is! The entire crew - Tiegan, Jake and Kyle - led by Captain Travis - were so welcoming and engaging and fun. They took care of every person on the boat. We also saw pygmie whales and a few humpbacks - and the cruise went a little bit over to make sure we all got to experience the excitement. A must do!!

This is our second sunset cruise with this group! Amazing people, loved the drinks and food, we were so lucky to see whales, dolphins, sunset and had a beautiful night. I’ve recommended this to friends who also enjoyed the heck out of it!

Ko Olina Ocean Adventures was absolutely incredible! The crew was professional, friendly, and made sure everyone felt welcomed. Captain Travis was outstanding and you can tell he loves what he does.
