We stayed at The Wayfinder Waikiki for 6 days and had a great experience! The room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the location was perfect, with the beach just a short walk away. We also really enjoyed the pool, which was a great place to relax after a day of exploring Honolulu. Overall, the hotel made our stay in Waikiki even more enjoyable, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We would happily stay here again!

I’ve never stayed at a place where every detail felt so perfectly thought out. From the moment we arrived, the staff was absolutely wonderful. While sitting by the pool, we were surprised with cold towels and popsicles, such a thoughtful touch! The rooms were beautifully designed, and the valet team was amazing: incredibly friendly, kind, and always happy to share recommendations for popular places to visit. I also loved the little extras, like the drink tokens provided during our stay and the complimentary pool and beach towels. The cleaning staff was just as wonderful, so kind, accommodating, and attentive to every detail. Overall, this was truly one of the best hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. You can tell they genuinely care about making their guests feel welcomed and taken care of. ❤️
Important to know disclaimers: -The rooms are small. This a boutique hotel with a lot of character but if you’re a party of 3 or more then maybe look elsewhere unless you don’t mind limited space -Not car rental friendly. They advertise a valet parking option but it always seems to be full. -There are specific menus for welcome drinks and breakfast vouchers. Make sure you order from them or expect to be charged a la carte prices -Poke at redfish is phenomenal just make sure you know what you’re getting. If it’s a first, then do some research or ask a lot of questions. My experience: With the aforementioned in mind, my fiance and I had a great time. We enjoyed our king bed and river view on the 13th floor. Every night was quiet and our room was made every day. We had no car which is fine since Waikīkī is very walkable. The first morning we incorrectly ordered off of a menu that wasn’t for our breakfast vouchers but the hotel took ownership of giving us the wrong menu (I think it was our waiters first day). The pool area was nice as well as the gym and the service was exceptional. If you take into consideration this review and book accordingly, you should 100% enjoy your stay! Aloha!
Stayed at Wayfinder Waikiki during my family’s 5 day stay in Oahu and man, this place truly exceeded my expectations. We were in Oahu for a very large family vacation/reunion, but only my husband and our two children stayed at Wayfinder as a last minute choice and im so glad that we found this gem. The hotel is smaller but the vibe felt authentically bohemian which really added to the Hawaiian-vacation feel lol. We booked a room with two double-beds and a lanai (patio). The room was very clean, a bit on the smaller side for our family of four but we honestly didn’t mind as we didn’t spend much time there anyway. They also provide complimentary beach towels, two complimentary alcoholic drink tokens per adult, beach chairs, boogie boards, Go Pros (learned this upon checkout unfortunately) and several other items that would come in handy for venturing out. The beach was literally a 7 minutes walk for us. The pool area was extremely nice, provided complimentary tea and water, sunscreen and aloe for sun burns (came in HANDY). The staff that worked the pool bar was very accommodating, they came over to us several times just to make sure we had everything we needed. The only thing I’d mention is that the hotel is bit older, but the decor and vibes overshadowed that for me, not sure if it may bother others. Overall, we REALLY enjoyed our stay here and out of my entire family of 40+ that travelled to Oahu with us, we had the best experience with our hotel thankfully (some stayed at more expensive chains or smaller boutiques with unexpected troubles). Would happily stay here again!
You will have to walk nearly half a mile to simply park because their “hotel parking” or valet seems to always be full. As a guest who stayed here with two little kids - it can be very hard to juggle not having your car close. So, if being able to park at your hotel location and have easy access to your car is important for you - this isn’t the hotel to pick.
