Our family had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous Maui resort while celebrating the wedding of our youngest son and his partner. From the breathtaking views to the outstanding restaurants and beautiful surroundings, this resort has everything you could want and more! Although our initial room had a few minor hiccups, Carrie, the manager, was absolutely wonderful. Once we brought the issues to her attention, she went above and beyond to make things right, quickly arranging a transfer to another room that had everything our family needed and more. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine desire to ensure we had a wonderful stay made all the difference. The resort itself is stunning, the staff are warm and welcoming, and the overall experience was truly special. We are so grateful to Carrie and the entire team for helping make such an important family celebration even more memorable. We would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Maui and would love to return. A beautiful property with exceptional service and people who truly care about their guests! Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui – An Absolute Masterclass in Tropical Luxury, Pristine Safety, and Flawless Hospitality Having traveled around the world since childhood, I have learned to recognize and deeply appreciate true excellence. After visiting the Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott in Maui multiple times🥰, I can confidently state that this property remains an absolute sanctuary of luxury, cleanliness, and sophisticated hospitality. The natural beauty and serene environment of Wailea are exceptional. One of the most beautiful experiences is walking down to the beach and warm ocean at night to listen to the rhythm of the waves—it provides a profound sense of peace 😊 The resort grounds are immaculately maintained, filled with stunning tropical flowers and magnificent orchids that create a perfect atmosphere where premium scents, such as my Oribe perfume, truly come into their own.The service here defines world-class professionalism. Ed and Patty, along with Myriam at the concierge desk, are absolutely brilliant. The VIP Lounge is wonderful 🥰, offering a quiet space to read international newspapers while enjoying exceptional teas. The room service is equally superb, serving an elite selection of loose-leaf teas, including an outstanding Earl Grey and refreshing Mint tea .The rooms excel in sleep ergonomics, designed for deep, restorative sleep. The bed is incredibly comfortable with exquisite linens and perfect pillows; wearing a silk nightwear ensemble guarantees a flawless night's rest. The housekeeping is meticulous—the rooms are pristinely clean, and premium towels are always generously provided. Furthermore, the entire resort is exceptionally safe and secure. The clientele consists of highly sophisticated, polite travelers who naturally respect others. It ensures the indoor air quality remains clinically clean and fresh. The resort's location is ideal. Guests paying the beach resort fee enjoy privileged, exclusive access to Wailea Beach, and the nearby Ulua Beach is highly recommended for world-class snorkeling and diving. For upscale dining and premium shopping, The Shops at Wailea is located just a short walk away, featuring a magnificent, fully smoke-free open-air layout with over 70 premier boutiques and restaurants.Wailea Beach Resort proves that premium hospitality is built on a foundation of absolute safety, natural courtesy, and strict attention to detail. It is an elite international benchmark. Highly recommended!🥰 I will definitely return to this resort 🥰
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! It is ocean front, the room was huge, there are multiple pools and two water slides, and the staff were fantastic. I read other reviews that said the “downside” of this hotel was that it was not beachfront. I walked past all of the other resorts in the area and none of them had rooms as close to the ocean as this hotel. Their rooms weren’t even that close to the beach. Our room was literally steps to the ocean. I feel like that should be the preference versus being beachfront. Plus, this hotel provided two chairs and an umbrella for the beach that was only a few steps away. The best part is that it was half the price of the others in the area. We will absolutely choose this resort again on our next visit. Pro tip: We stayed in a partial ocean view, ground level with a lanai in Hale 3. I HIGHLY recommend that you request Hale 3 partial or full ocean view, ground floor with a lanai.
Considering all the competition in Wailea, this place is way overpriced for what you’re getting. The lights and outlets in our bathroom weren’t working so they put a tiny dim lamp in there and I guess just hoped we wouldn’t notice? When we asked for it to be fixed or to be moved to a functional room they offered a severe downgrade in room level. For our troubles they said we could have late check out but when I asked what time late check out would be someone else from their team said there was no late check out. Ok? They were charging the same rate as the Four Seasons which is just insane considering the state of the rooms, service and the long walk to the beach. Several other annoyances: would call for housekeeping when leaving the morning, come back several hours later in the afternoon and no housekeeping done. The access system to get into the parking deck is extreme finicky. Would take minutes to register and open the gate after scanning our key band. No outdoor showers to wash off sand after coming off beach. Perhaps most maddening we kept getting messages from the front office managers “apologizing” and hoping everything had been resolved when nothing had been resolved. Perhaps if management spent more time inquiring with their own staff about whether or not issues had been resolved instead of waiting for guests to update them they would be running a better establishment. Tip: if you end up in the Haleakala Building just ask to be switched immediately. Power outages, clogged drains, and only one elevator that doubles as the service elevator so even if you’re lucky enough not to be sharing it with a cart full of stinking garbage bags the smell will always be there.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. All the staff throughout the resort is very welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a good guest experience and make our honeymoon special. Ben at the front desk was incredibly helpful at check in and throughout our stay. The multiple pools with ocean views, access to two beaches, beach chairs, well cared for grounds, shuttle service to nearby shops and restaurants, and many small touches like daily local chocolates were excellent. We can’t wait to go back!
