We had a great stay for our honeymoon! We stayed in the Hokupa'a tower and the Lani was a great place to be able to relax anytime we wanted. The service across the resort was exceptional. We felt welcomed by everyone. Some exceptional people we would like to recognize are Rachel- the food and beverage manager, and some outstanding bartenders: Alex, Michael, Justin, and Oliver. We truly will miss our time at this resort and hope we can visit soon!

We had a wonderful stay at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa! It’s the perfect vacation spot if you’re traveling with kids. The beautiful pools and water slides kept the kids entertained, and the entire resort is absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and our room was very clean and comfortable. The resort itself is well-maintained and has such a relaxing, tropical atmosphere. The only downside for us was the food. There are a few dining options on the property, but unfortunately, we didn’t find the food to be very good overall. We wish there were more options and better-quality food. That said, we would definitely return! The beautiful resort, pools, location, and family-friendly atmosphere make it a wonderful place for a vacation.
Great hotel with a few quirks. THE GOOD: Location and grounds are looking good. This is one of the most walkable places to stay on the island as there is a beachfront path as well as its located right next to whalers village. The rooms have been updated since my last stay a few years ago. There are still some interesting quirks like bad patched tile in the pool but the place looks great overall. THE BAD: The place is pretty expensive food and drinks for a couple are easily 100 per meal for not 100 dollar food. It doesn’t matter where you go budget that at a minimum and be warned. THE UGLY: Elevators are slow service is slow screwing phone slow assistance slow. And they want to charge for the silliest things. A 45 dollar resort fee STOP just put it in the rate. 55 dollars to valet and 50 dollars to self park wanted to charge a delivery fee for some cups and silverware in a place that charges over 700 per night. Interesting! Overall good stay the quirks are the quirks.
We recently spent 6 nights at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa in Ka'anapali and had a pleasant stay overall. It balances a prime beachfront location with great everyday conveniences. What we loved: Easy Arrival: The check-in process was smooth and welcoming—exactly what we needed after a 10-hour flight with a 90-minute layover. Good Rooms: Our room was clean and had a great walkout balcony equipped with sitting chairs and a table. The shower also had excellent water pressure. Fantastic Daily Activities: They offer an impressive lineup of free on-site activities. We loved the variety, which included fitness classes alongside cultural experiences like ukulele lessons, coconut weaving, and feeding the resident birds and koi fish. Convenient Dining: Having an on-site Starbucks made mornings so easy, and the overall on-site food prices were quite reasonable for a major resort. Prime Location: The resort sits right on Ka'anapali Beach, just a short walk from the shopping and dining at Whalers Village. Things to Consider: Resort Fees: Keep in mind that daily resort fees and parking costs are extra and will add to your final bill. Busy Pools: The pool decks are beautiful but can get crowded, so plan ahead if you want a prime lounge chair. Luau Tip: We walked right over to the nearby sister resort, the Sheraton, to take in the Maui Nui Luau. It was convenient to access without needing to worry about driving or parking! Overall, it is a beautiful property in an unbeatable location. We would definitely consider staying here again!
We stayed at the Westin Maui Ka’anapali Resort for six nights and were honestly pretty disappointed, especially considering how expensive the resort is. Our room was fine and the mattress was comfortable, but the service was inconsistent and at times unprofessional. A pool attendant knocked over a brand-new drink, apologized, but didn’t offer to replace it and quickly walked away. The resort was also extremely crowded throughout our stay. We expected crowds since it was August in Maui, but it was very difficult to find pool seating each day. The pool towel station closes at 6 PM even though the pools stay open until 10 PM, meaning you have to go to the front desk for towels after 6. The kids’ waterslide closes at 5 PM, which seems unnecessarily early for a family resort. The fifth-floor ice machine was broken, the restroom near the pools was dirty, and complimentary lobby water was inconsistent and often unavailable later in the day. There are also a lot of additional fees throughout the resort. For the price, I expected much better service, cleanliness, and attention to detail. The location is great, but overall, the resort did not feel worth what we paid.
