Read reviews about Prince Waikiki and picked it. Luckily we stay there just one night. We felt it was not as good as the review score shows. For the price we paid we felt we didn't choose a good one. The Lobby is good and comfortable. Room has enough space. The bath room is very comfortable. But the bed/matress is not up to 4 star hotel standards. Sheets are thin and wore out feeling...The elevators are very small without A/C, very hot and stuffy inside.
Pool area is very small and very crowded. MOst hotel we stayed in Oahu has baconies, but this one has not. Our room is ocean view, just like other reviews mentioned, most of the view is the parking lot.
Honeymoon stay at Prince Waikiki.
The view was amazing! The infinity pool was so fun, watching the sunset from there with a “guava be kidding me” drink in my hand was unbeatable. The rooms were nice. We arrived and our bidet was not working, and the coffee pot was out of commission too, so we had to have them fix it. They did so promptly and it was great. The bidet had a warmed seat so your buns stayed nice and toasty and after it cleaned like no other.
The mattresses and pillows were not very comfy and we woke up with some discomfort.
The showers are definitely a 1 person shower. Was hoping for a larger shower given the occasion but it was fine. My main concern is that you can hear everything happening outside your room which made we wonder if they could hear everything happening inside my room… 🫣
All in all it was not a bad stay, but if we are able to come back for another visit we will definitely try another hotel out.
Great hotel! It’s quite nice and in a great location, but it’s also just far enough outside the main areas to be peaceful. I even met some locals who stay here for staycations, and they’re big fans!
On checkout day, I had a redeye flight, so I left my luggage with the hotel as usual. I wasn’t sure how I was going to fit in a shower before catching my flight, but without even asking, the front desk told me I could use their shower before heading to the airport. Such a thoughtful touch and really great service!
We stayed at the Prince Waikiki for 4 days 3 nights and absolutely loved our stay! Hotel staff were incredibly welcoming, responsive, and accommodating. rooms were clean, quiet with the exception of some generator noise as it is an older building, but still decently renovated. The bidet in the bathroom was a nice add on. Street parking was easy to find near the hotel at $1 an hour but hotel parking is available at $50 a day or $55 for valet. Location is great as well. Away from the bigger crowds but still within walking distance. Overall a great stay.
I recently stayed at the Prince Waikiki and overall had a good experience, though there were a few areas that did not fully match the luxury price point. The staff throughout the property were excellent. The valet team was professional and friendly even during busy periods when the valet area itself became hectic and difficult to navigate. I also want to specifically recognize Ken at the front desk. He helped us on multiple occasions during our stay, including accommodating an early check in when we were in a rush and later assisting with a room upgrade through our AMEX benefits. His customer service made a strong impression and added a personal touch to the stay.
The property itself has a great location and beautiful views, though the rooms felt a bit dated compared to what I expected from a hotel in this price range. The bathrooms were large, though the shower felt more like something you would find in a gym or standard hotel rather than a luxury property. The bathrooms also had almost no ventilation, which made them feel stuffy after shower use. One surprising downside was the lack of toiletries and small amenities in the room. I was also disappointed that breakfast was not included given the nightly rate of the hotel. At this price point, I expected a more complete luxury experience. Overall, the service was the strongest part of the stay, while the physical rooms and included amenities left room for improvement.
