Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel

Great place to stay. Right next to a massive multi level store as well as endless dining and entertainment options nearby. The on-site Cafe is full of lovely, hard working staff. The NEGATIVES though are related to the cleanliness of the place. Not only was all the furniture in the room terribly stained but so were all the beds and lounges around the pool. Quite disgusting actually, especially when you just want to sit in your room and relax. Also, no towels available by the pool at 3pm is poor.

We’ve stayed at the Outrigger Beachcomber three times since 2021, most recently in July 2026. While the location is excellent, the hotel is starting to show some wear and tear—the right side of our bed was noticeably sunken. As others have mentioned, the “ocean view” feels a little generous for the price, although the balcony still has a nice outlook. The industrial air-con units from International Marketplace are also quite loud on that side of the hotel. At around $600 AUD per night with no breakfast included, value for money is becoming harder to justify. That said, there aren’t many mid-range options this central, so we may still return.

Really enjoyed our stay here! This hotel is located right where all the shops and restaurants are, with of course the beach right there too. Everything you want, just a few steps away! We loved it. As soon as we got here, we put our car in valet (in the back, past the hotel entrance, fairly easy to find), and checked in. Checking in was very smooth, we were given all the info needed, and we headed to our room. Room was nice and clean, no complaints there. Our balcony overlooked the busy street below us and the ocean views further ahead. It was great! Breakfast at the café was nice too. Very kind staff and a really nice hotel - I would definitely recommend it!

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days in July for our honeymoon and it was a great stay. We got an ocean view room and were pleased. We wanted to be close to everything so this place was perfect for us but isn’t a super intimate or secluded hotel for people looking for something private. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean upon arrival. The front desk was always helpful when needed. The pool area is nice, we only spent one evening there. The location of this hotel is amazing, it’s right off the Waikiki strip! It is minutes away from everything. The bus is also super easy to get to from the hotel. It’s right next to Dukes marketplace which is fun to walk through! Food, drinks, shave ice, sandy beaches are only steps away. They give you a discount card to use at other restaurants in their chain. Maui brewing and the aroma cafe inside the hotel are nice. The bell hops hold your luggage if you are leaving later than check out or arriving earlier than check in, that was super helpful. The highlight of the hotel was our housekeeper on the 22nd floor Taciana, she is AMAZING, and so sweet. She always had a smile on her face and was happy to see us, she always kept our room clean and was happy to get us anything we needed. I would definitely stay here again! Only downfalls were the A/C isn’t super powerful, we had the A/C set to 65° and it never got there during the 10 days. It stayed around 69°-71° which is comfortable but it was a little disappointing. The other thing is the hotel is definitely one of the cheaper ones in their chains so it isn’t as nice and you could see that in some of the finishes around the hotel. The shower wasn’t sealed so water would run out the sides and the wall was getting damaged because of it. The paint job in the room was giving the “landlord special” a little bit in some spots. This didn’t affect our stay we felt the hotel was really clean and quiet and we would stay again.
