Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort

The location is amazing! The beach directly behind the hotel is small compared to true Waikiki Beach, which is maybe a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The staff are all so nice and helpful. When we checked in Robert was so kind, wished us a happy anniversary and gifted us a suite to celebrate. The resort is gorgeous and had plenty of on site activities if you wanted to stay in for the day. I would definitely book a room here again when we come back to Hawaii.

First time trip to Hawaii with my sister(we are both retired) We were there from 9-2-26 to 9-9-26. From the moment we arrived from the airport, we have never had such exemplary treatment as we experienced at Outrigger Reef Waikiki. Front desk staff to housekeeping to servers and bartenders, all seemed genuinely happy to be there and take care of their guests. Warm, kind, and welcoming are the best adjectives to describe their demeanor. Our room was spotless on the 16th floor with a lanais/balcony view of both ocean and Honolulu. The pictures and videos I sent my family back home got comments like, “it doesn’t look real”(the view, especially evening) The Monkey Pod Kitchen was next to hotel and just a few steps away-we ate many meals during our stay breakfast, lunch, and dinner-they were all delicious. The bar/grill next to pool got our business several times for Mai Tais and Blue Hawaii drinks. Housekeeping was accommodating for towel delivery and freshening our room each day. The bell desk person helped me by checking prices for transportation in and around the island. All in all, it was an unforgettable memory and trip of a lifetime made even more special by the treatment we received at the Outrigger Reef Hotel. Truly the “Aloha Spirit” was communicated to me and my sister every day we were there. Can’t wait to go back-didn’t want to leave.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort and would definitely stay here again. Our room was nice, very clean, and comfortable, and the hotel itself was well maintained despite being a busy property. One feature we really appreciated was the reusable water bottles provided in the room. There are water refill stations throughout the hotel, so it was easy to keep them filled during our stay, and the bottles are yours to take home. The location is also great. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, and other places within easy walking distance, which was especially helpful because traffic in Waikiki can be very heavy. Even traveling just a few miles by car can take quite a while. Valet parking was expensive, but it was very convenient and made having a rental car much easier. The hotel can feel busy, but everything was kept clean and organized, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely stay at Outrigger Reef again.

From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the service was exceptional and truly made our vacation unforgettable. The hotel itself is beautiful, with an incredible location right on the beach, comfortable rooms, and a welcoming Hawaiian atmosphere. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, but two people deserve special recognition. Frank and Rick went above and beyond in every possible way. They were genuinely kind, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. It’s rare to come across employees who care so deeply about making guests feel welcome, and they both did exactly that. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made a lasting impression on our family. Exceptional customer service is becoming harder and harder to find, and Frank and Rick reminded us what true hospitality looks like. They are a tremendous asset to the Outrigger Reef, and we hope the hotel recognizes how fortunate they are to have them. We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend the Outrigger Reef to friends and family without hesitation. Mahalo for an amazing stay!
