We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and overall, we were really happy with our experience. The pool was excellent, we had a wonderful day and a very good night’s sleep, and the staff were also very kind and welcoming. This is why I gave the hotel good ratings overall. However, there is one thing I really feel the need to mention. I noticed a betta fish at the reception, kept in a very small bowl and seemingly used as decoration. I actually mentioned this to the staff because, in 2026, I think we should know better. Animals are not decorations, and betta fish require appropriate space and proper living conditions, including adequate water volume and filtration. Keeping a fish in such a tiny container, with no apparent filtration or suitable setup, is simply not appropriate for its welfare. I’m not giving the hotel a poor rating because, aside from this issue, we genuinely had a very good stay. But I sincerely hope the hotel will take this feedback seriously and do something to improve the fish’s living conditions. It would make a positive experience even better to know that animal welfare is taken into consideration as well.

Superb service, kind and efficient. Excellent room service -- they were there quickly for anything I needed. Free self-parking. Location is excellent for the vibe of Honolulu. Great restaurants all around the area. The beach is a quick walk, about three blocks away. THE one problem is the bathroom in your room (hence my 3 of 5 stars for "rooms"). I am a general contractor, and when I design bathrooms I always tell the owner there's no such thing in a bathroom as too much light. It's always important for what you need to do at the mirror. But, the hotel has large circular mirrors with a perimeter of light that is utterly inefficient when it comes to your needs. I actually spoke with a front desk person about that and they said, yes, they've had concerns about that. They changed it; it's still not good, yet those above our paygrade aren't doing what is needed to rectify. Other than that, dear reader, a very good hotel choice.
Very nice hotel, great location in Honolulu. Hotel is attached to a Starbucks and Duke's marketplace was right around the corner, so getting a quick, inexpensive breakfast on our way out each morning was very easy. Room was clean and spacious, and the ocean view room was definitely worth it! Staff were kind, prompt and accommodating. The manager, Linda, helped us get a day room on our last day since our flight didn't leave until 8pm. Her assistance made our travel day much easier with our 6 year old daughter with medical special needs. Definitely recommend this hotel!
Our week-long stay at Hyatt was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always willing to go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We truly appreciated the attention to detail, the beautiful atmosphere, and especially the kindness of everyone we encountered. It felt more than just a hotel stay, matter of fact it felt like we were truly welcomed and cared for. Thank you, Hyatt, and to your amazing team for making our stay so special. We will definitely be looking forward to coming back! 🌺❤️
The hotel is centrally located. The rooms are clean and quiet and nicely appointed.. The lobby is a great area to chill. But it is the front desk and service here in general that make it the gold standard! Well donr Hyatt centric Waikiki!
