This cruise was definitely a highlight of our trip! We were picked up from our hotel lobby, driven to Halong Bay and transported to Stellar of The Seas via a speedboat. On arrival the crew were lined up to welcome us with music and song. We felt so special! We were invited directly to the dining room with splendid views of the bay, here we were served a delicious three course lunch before checking in to our rooms. Our room was superb with a large bathroom and a bath where you could soak in rose petals and watch the fabulous views of the bay go by. All rooms have balconies too. We had our own butler, Jackie who was great, he was attentive, informative, funny and entertaining. He even sent me recommendations for restaurants for the rest of our trip. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff on board. We went kayaking and swimming in the heated pool and had photos taken by drone. The food was all delicious and plentiful, from breakfast to brunch, afternoon tea and dinner which was a barbecue on the first evening and either a Vietnamese menu or Western choice on the second. There is a large wine and drinks menu to choose from. They even do room service. We did Tai Chi on the deck at sunrise, cycled to Viet Hai village on Cat Ba, swam in the sea, lazed on a beach and visited the caves. Each evening there was a show with excellent singers and a chance to do a bit of karaoke which was actually great fun. On International Women’s Day there was a rose and gift for every woman, followed by fireworks! We met some lovely people on board although there was also plenty of space for privacy if you wished. The itinerary was full but you never felt rushed and there was no pressure to participate if you preferred not to. All in all a fabulous experience which I would definitely recommend! We went on a 3 day 2 night cruise with Stellar of the Seas. It was nice but not spectacular if I'm being honest. It's more like 2 half days, (1/2 day to start and 1/2 day to end at about 11am) with one full day. We did the kayaks on arrival which was nice. They had an inflatable ocean pool which we did not use, more on this later. We did use the pool on the bow of the ship which was heated nicely. Meals, service staff and butler's were really good. Lots of choices and everything tasted wonderful. The staff want to please you so bad sometimes they don't know when to stop before becoming annoying. The stateroom was fantastic, large and comfortable. Bed was a bit hard but this seems to be the case throughout Asia. No complaints on our accommodation. Bar services. Drinks flow freely during the meals (Great), but the happy hour was strange. The deal was buy 2 drinks and every third drink was free. I think 1/2 price drinks would make better sense. Most people won't buy three drinks, but maybe this is why it's designed this way(?). The excursions: we did the row boat to the cave trip on the morning of day two. It was to early and rushed in our opinion. Later they take you to a village for lunch, to bike ride and visit a beach. We opted to just relax on the ship. This turn out great as we had the place to ourselves. People who went on the excursion said we made a good choice. They didn't enjoy the time, said it took 45 minutes each direction, the beach was tiny with over 50 people on it and lasted 15 minutes. They didn't ride the bikes because it was hilly. Capacity wise their were 22 guests with 50 crew so nothing was crowded on board. Most retreated to their rooms by 9pm. It was very relaxing and the music was good with a live band. We were a little confused however that they kept playing Christmas music as it was the end of February. The ocean: This was very depressing and disappointing. There was trash floating everywhere and the water quality was disturbing. Hence why we didn't use the ocean pool they deployed. Vietnam needs to address this and quickly or people will stop visiting. Transfers from Hanoi: this was first class! Value for the money was good. Just wish the ocean was clean.

Experience was great! I did my trip solo but crew is really really nice and they make you feel at home and not alone! Cindy and Tin was really helpful! Best thing would be there's only a few number of cabin so the group will not be big and will be an intimate experience!

The best service ever. You'll be assigned your personal butler to attend to your needs. Food was great. You get lobster the first night Happy hour at 4 but you have to pay extra for drinks free laundry for the first kilo and 5USD for the next kilo. Great perk. Great activities but it rained all day the 2nd day. Luckily we chose to stay on the ship and had lunch there Someone. Will take a video and photo with a drone. This is included and a nice perk. Room was perfect. 5 star amenities. It's still low season so only 7 out of 22 rooms were occupied. They gave us a free upgrade to the senior suite otherwise it would have been 100USD for an upgrade. Obviously you wouldn't be given this complimentary upgrade during high season. When all rooms are booked. There is Netflix but you need to log on with your account. Balcony was great to sit and relax and the bathtub was nice to take a luxurious bath. We didn't partake of the early activities since we slept in. Thank you to Boo our personal butler. He was wonderful

Went for a few days and was blown away by the service got a suite with my own personal sun deck and it was amazing food was amazing service was unbelievable felt like I was on a private yaht Helen my person that looked after me was amazing If you are looking for something special this is it

We had an amazing experience at the Stellar of the Seas. It's the right size cruise, not too big and not too small. The staff is impecavle. Our buttler Alice was so polite, kind and accommodating. She was really sweet and made us feel super special. The outdoor activities were so interesting. I'm glad we chose two nights as we loved the visiting and cycling around the Viet Hai village on our second day. Our tour guide James was great as well!! The food is to die for and we had a blast on our first night at the Kareoke! We highly recommend this cruise and will definetely coming back with other members of our family.

We had a fantastic 2 night trip on Stellar of the Seas. Boo was our butler and he was fantastic, he got the balance just right between being available but also giving us our space. We had a wonderful cabin with a sundeck at the back of the boat. I would really recommend splashing out on one of these. The food was excellent and plentiful, I love that they offer breakfast and brunch so you can fit your morning meal around the activities that you want to do.

Amazing experience al around. The yacht is well appointed and the Senior suite we chose was clean and spacious, with a roomy bathroom, bedroom and exterior deck with chairs. The food was delicious. The cruise includes several activities on and off the boat. The staff are kind and attentive. Mr Jackie was our personal butler! He was thoughtful and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise.

Fun, beautiful tour of Halong Bay on a first class ship with wonderful staff, lovely excursions, and a beautiful, functional room with views and balcony. Staff was upbeat, fun and knowledgable. The amazing welcome lunch of lobster and salmon was the the best meal of our entire tour.

The boat is beautiful, everything is very clean, and the staff are absolutely excellent! I’m giving 4 stars only because We did have some meals that were cold, though flavourful and well presented. The karaoke under the stars was a lot of fun and a definite highlight was that our host, Tin, the man of many talents, sang for us some Vietnamese songs and it was beautiful!

Robin looked after us from arrival to departure with anything and everything we needed - including sun cream and bug spray tips, history about the area, and any food substitutions he thought we might like. Couldn’t recommend this cruise any more, it really was perfect. Thank you so much Robin for making our trip so special.

Amazing experience - we were looked after so well from the door of our Hanoi Hotel until after the cruise. Fantastic day trip to Cat Ba, live music on board, cocktails, BBQ, cake, everyone one could want! The room was perfect and the balcony ideal for gazing at the limestones passing by. Couldn’t recommend more.

This cruise was probably one of the best experiences we have ever done. Everything from the food to accommodations is so exceptional. Sofia, our assigned Butler for the trip, was phenomenal in dealing with my dietary restrictions and so kind. The trip to the village was very fun for the 3 day experience and you get to ride bikes through fields of water buffalo. A top notch cruise that we recommend for everyone!

Joined the 3D2N cruisr on the Stella of the Seas recently, and it was very perfect. The ship is modern, there were just the right amount of organised excursions, the food was good, and especially the service was excellent and exceeds my expectations. We were greeted by the service manager, Jay. He is wonderful, friendly, and full of humour. He provided clear instructions and guided us on all excursions safely. In addition, we were assigned with a personal butler, and our butler, Boo, looks after us extremely well. He explained everything we needed to know and guided us through the many different food dishes during the bbq buffet, cheerfully bringing all the food to us. I highly recommend the stellar of the seas, and we thank the crew, and especially Boo and Jay, to make our cruise experience well exceeded our expectations

We had a wonderful time onboard this cruise. The quality of service from the crew was exceptional. We had our own butler Boo who took care of us throughout the cruise and very attentive to all our needs including mealtimes. He made sure we had all the info for activities. The service manager Jay did a fantastic job to keep all the passengers engaged in all the activities and enjoyed ourselves. The crew were extremely courteous and professional. Food was nice with mixture of fine dining, buffet style and set menus covering both western and Vietnamese cuisine. Highly recommend the 2 night option to fully enjoy the ship's luxurious rooms and service. Allows full relaxation to take in the beautiful views of Halong Bay/ Lan Ha Bay. Make sure to use their drone video service!! The videos were great!

We had an excellent experience sailing with the Stellar of the Seas at Ha Long Bay! We had an amazing pick-up in a super comfortable limousine from our hotel in Hanoi and a hassle free check-in. We received a warm welcome by the cruise staff with roses and were also showered with rose petals! Our personal butler - Jackie was amazing throughout our 2nights and 3 days stay. We traveled as a large family of 6 and he catered to each and took care of our pure vegetarian meal preferences. Their hospitality and service was remarkably superior! The cruise is well maintained and managed. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is also huge with fresh flowers everywhere! They take maximum precautions for the safety of the guests. We loved all the activities. Overall an amazing experience and would highly recommend Stellar of the Seas! We were delighted by the hospitality of our butler Jackie and the cruise manager Tim.

We truely had a stellar experience on this ship. We traveled with a family of 6 and it was complete value for money. Jacky from the crew took great care of us. Key shout out 1) the Transfers were very comfortable. Felt luxury right from our pick up 2) Rooms are well equiped and spacious. Washrooms are exceptional. 3) Food : Being vegeterians, our dietary requirements were well taken care of. Plenty of options and beyond our expecations l What could be better: 1) the checkin at the port could be a bit more comfortable. It felt a bit too crowded with limited refrrshments 2) wifie is struggle. But given the location, not suprised with it. Overall, I am happy I choose this cruise for our holiday. Would recommend booking them flr 2 nights instead of 1 for a complete relaxing experience

My cruise on the Stellar of the Seas exceeded all expectations. I spent a long time looking at various different cruises before deciding on Stellar of the Seas but it was the perfect choice. From my arrival on the ship I could see that it was going to be great fun. The food was fantastic and plentiful, my personal butler, Jackie Chan, couldn’t be more attentive. I had a cold and he prepared and kept me topped up with ginger tea. My cabin was beautiful with a very comfortable bed and my own private balcony. I watched the sunset from the top deck which was stunning. The first night was great fun with karaoke going on until late and even I joined in (which doesn’t happen very often). Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay are so beautiful and peaceful - the perfect way to relax. The trip to Cat Ba island was really interesting and we stopped off to swim at a little beach on the way back. Tim, the assistant cruise manager was very knowledgeable about the area and Vietnamese history. All in all, a wonderful trip.

Our 3 day / 2 night trip was fantastic! I think this was the perfect amount of time to do all of the available activities and excursions offered, but could have done another day to just relax on the boat and soak up some sun. The food was great, the rooms were very nice (we did junior suite with king bed), and the staff was super friendly and helpful the entire time. Would recommend to anyone, but especially couples. Our dedicated staff member, Eric, was friendly, funny, and super attentive and definitely helped make our time as enjoyable as it was.

We went on a 3d2n cruise for a portion of our honeymoon trip to Vietnam. The housekeeping staff had the room decorated when we arrived. The food was outstanding, the views were incredible, but the Service we received from our Butler Jackie were unmatched. Our Butler Jackie made the experience for us. He was so attentive, kind, and really went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our time on The Stellar of the Seas. I think we would have enjoyed our trip with any of the Butlers that were there. But we are so glad we ended up with Jackie! He is the reason when we visit Vietnam again we will book a trip on Stellar of the Seas!

Worth noting this is not the actual cruise company, but a middle man travel agency. Customer support was very unhelpful when we had travel issues.

We had a wonderful few days and evenings on the Stellar - the food and service was excellent. In particular, Eric, who was assigned to us was both immensely attentive, extremely polite and at times, very humorous. A wonderful experience of the Halong Bay Area

The Stellar of the Seas was our best ever cruise experience. We were here 10 years ago, on another cruise, and we are amazed at how much better Stellar is. From the moment we were shown to our room, to our first lunch, to the amazing dinner, it’s hard to describe how magical this experience has been. The staff are wonderful, and wow, I haven’t even begun to talk about the room. There is something for everyone here, and if you are lucky enough to get James, Dodo or Jay, you will be getting 6 star service: we highly recommend the Stellar of the Seas. A special shoutout to Dodo who was our personal butler for our stay and he paid extra attentive care to us the whole time! He is kind and sweet.

Amazing life time experience our butler Helen was exceptional. Attentive and met all of our requests always with a smile. By the way when we asked her to come with us on an excursion she did and the last night she also sang! She needs a promotion and a raise.

We had such a great experience on the Stellar of the Seas. The best to see Halong Bay. The staff on the cruise were all so attentive. They were so proud of their boat and happy to make sure we all had a great experience. The boat itself was really beautiful and clean. The food was so delicious and plentiful and beautifully presented. The live music was just lovely. The musicians so talented and looked like they really enjoyed entertaining us. We highly recommend this experience.

We were lucky enough to do a cruise on Stellar of the Seas. We were absolutely blown away by the service in particular our gorgeous waitress Sofia who looked after us during all our meals. Her bubbly personality and her warmth was so appreciated. She ensured we were well looked after and always found the time to chat to us. She was amazing and we will miss her so much.

I loved my experience-it was beautiful, the staff was so friendly, and I had the executive suite which was just as gorgeous as the pictures. Cindi was my butler and would check in with me every meal. I have a shellfish allergies and she kept tabs on when a meal needed to be replaced or made sure during a buffet to point out items I needed to stay away from. As a female solo traveler, I was a bit nervous about going on a cruise alone, but the staff was so friendly and I was a small enough cruise that I got to feel comfortable with other passengers. There are multiple activities on the cruise and no shortage of things to do. Everything was excellent and I will recommend everyone who goes to ha long bay to book this cruise as their options for sailing around the area.

WOW what an amazing experience!!!From the moment we arrived at the Marina until the sad time of returning we had the most amazing trip. The food was outstanding and abundant. The tours were made even better by knowledgeable local staff. The room (junior suite) was spacious and spotless. Husband and I had a great time on Stellar! Not only was service and attention by Eric and staff top knotch, but we also learned a LOT from Tin about the history of Ha Long Bay and also pho! Swimming and visit to Viet Hai village will be a sweet memory for years to come. ❤️

We loved our 2-night, 3-day cruise on Stellar of the Seas. Really nice ship, incredible views and exceptional staff. Jackie was our butler and Tin was our cruise director / tour guide. The rest of the crew was friendly and accommodating. The bike ride on Cat Ba island, visiting Ba Trai Dao beach, kayaking, and catching squid both nights were highlights.

We had unforgettable days on board the Stellar... excellent service... Jackie was a super friendly host with his even 22 years perfect in service, small talk and experience in dealing with guests... this made our days even more relaxed and pleasant and we also had a lot of fun... he even sang for us at the karaoke evening... the ship is just perfect to come down, with its even 22 cabins not too big and it gives the impression of a private yacht... food ingenious and delicious, the cabin just the burner
