Small Group Hanoi Street Food Tour With A Real Foodie

Travelling solo in ‘nam and I really wanted to experience the food here. I found Minh’s tour and booked it for £21 - which was a great price considering we bounced around a good number of restaurants and cafes. Over 3 hours we travelled together in a group of 5 - which was small enough for us all to have a good conversation with one another between journeys. Minh was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to be around - he answered our questions, gave us cultural and historical knowledge and showed genuine love for his country and cuisine. He even catered to the dietary needs of us. The atmosphere was great throughout and at the end Minh pinged us his personal recommendations. Would definitely recommend the tour to others hoping to experience Vietnam food!

We had a great time sampling Vietnamese cuisine in Hanoi’s old quarter! Our guide Bob grew up in the neighborhood and knows its nooks and crannies, and the people who live and work there. All of the dishes we tried were delicious and it was fun to duck into the various restaurants as we made our way through the itinerary. At each stop there was a vegetarian version of the featured dish for my wife. We finished the tour with a tasty selection of Vietnamese coffees. Bob was personable and very fun to spend the afternoon with. This was a highlight of our visit to Hanoi!

Minh (aka Bob) was by far the best tour guide we had our whole trip! It felt like we were being shown around by a friend :) bonus we got to meet Bob’s mum and eat at her restaurant, which we later went back to by ourselves. All the food was fantastic and we are so happy we did this!

Bob is a fantastic guide! Brought us around to some wonderful places to try new foods and everything was delicious! The Pho Ga was especially good!

Ricky was very knowledgeable and passionate about being a “ foodie “. The places we stopped were terrific and he did a great job discussing the food, its preparation and the Vietnamese culture!

The Food Tour was and amazing experience! Ricky was a Great Guide showing us around Hanoi and the best food places and told us about the dishes so we could learn more about them! Its an experience I would recommend to everyone visiting Hanoi!

We had a great time on this food tour with Ricky our guide. We ate some great food, and even though it was very busy (due to a concert) Ricky made sure that we all enjoyed ourselves. Egg coffee a particular highlight.

Ricki had 8 of us on an evening walking food tour. A mixture of Brits and Aussies. All the stops were very local and no posh places. Food excellent and varied. 6 dishes. Started with noodle soup, moved to a satay type BBQ skewered meat. Both pork and chicken. Then it was crispy pancakes, followed by chicken dry noodles with a 'roti' (more like a flavoured bun) and egg coffee or juice. A good menu. We've been on some food tours which haven't really featured much food. This one had plenty. We didn't walk that far tbh as all stops were within a couple of blocks. We enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Rikki was a great local tour guide that took us to 6 different street food vendors for 6 different tastes of local cuisine. My husband has celeacs so is strict gluten free, he understood this and ensured that the food was safe for him to try. Go hungry because there was so much food!

We could not have asked for a better food tour. Duc made sure to start the tour by asking what we’ve already had in Hanoi and our preferences, and tailored the trip accordingly. He was knowledgeable and friendly, and taught us everything we needed to know about eating etiquette and norms in Hanoi. The only downside is that we were TOO full by the end of the night after trying 11 different things!

Duc was the best! Super funny, good english, customized the options to exactly our preference. Even got us extra things we never would have ordered. 11/10 experience!

Do yourself a favor and book this tour! We had an absolutely amazing time with BOB as our guide ! He was absolutely incredible:) the tour is three hours of nonstop eating, explanations about the food and the culture, jokes and fun! Highly highly highly recommend

We really enjoyed our street food tour in Hanoi with Nick. We did this on one of our first nights in Hanoi and it was a great way to be introduced to the local food and culture. Nick was a great guide, knowledgeable and entertaining, and we ate some great food while learning more about the city!

Ricky was an amazing tour guide and picked us up from the hostel and brought us to all the best local spots. We had a variety of food like pork skewers, traditional vietnamese dishes, dessert, and coffee. He explained all the foods to us.

Me and a friend went on the street food tour through the old quarter view hostel and were greeted by our lovely tour guide Ricky. Ricky took us to 5 different spots and was very informative on the food options you could have. The food was top class and very enjoyable. Would highly recommend this tour :)

Bob was our guide and we had a wonderful experience sampling new food in a set of locations we would never have found on our own. Bob curated the food, explained its origins and gave great advice on the food scene in Vietnam. It was definitely a case of having dinner with friends and way exceeded our expectations.
