Located in Hanoi's Old Quarter area, Ma May Street is unique as it is home to many of the city’s oldest houses. The house at No.87 Ma May Street (Hoan Kiem District) is one of 14 ancient houses in Hanoi built in the late 19th century that still retains its original features and becomes a familiar address for those who want to learn about the daily life of Hanoians in the old time.

Hanoi train street used to be one of the most renowned tourist destinations in the capital. It is a tiny, winding street tucked away in one of Hanoi’s back streets, surrounded by tightly clustered, tall, narrow houses. The train travels by the backyards of these families a couple times each day. We will enjoy a cup of coffee while waiting for the train to pass tthrough.

Our driver was attentive and quickly reappeared as we finished each site to take us to the next destination. Make sure you are hungry before this tour - you will eat and experience so much food. Our tour guide Sara criss crossed the Old Quarter of Hanoi with ease, navigating what felt like a million scooters!! We sampled many types of traditional Vietnamese food, all different but equally delicious. We also learned many interesting facts, one of which was if it’s cooked in the street by an angry looking woman, possible with some child labour, then the food will be good 😂 The tour culminated with the historic Train Street - an experience not to be missed if visiting Hanoi. All in all, a very enjoyable experience.

Really impressed by the guide Chris! He has a great knowledge about the city and the information of many aspects like history, geography… Also, something makes me feel that he is an experienced guy though he is a young man. His passion also makes me feel comfortable to travel and somehow encourages me to start walking and exploring. He also led me to a good cafe, the price is not too high and the coffee flavor is great! Definitely will come back to Vietnam to visit other places with my family, and pretty sure will ask the team to arrange Chris to be our guide in the upcoming trip. This was our first night in Hanoi. We decided to do a walking food tour to get our bearings of the city. We were lucky enough to have Qinn as our guide. She was very knowledgeable, very approachable and very friendly. We tried some amazing Vietnamese food and learned a lot about the area we were staying in. I would absolutely recommend Qinn and this tour.
This was an excellent half day tour that covered a lot of ground in 4 hours. We saw many of the sights of Hanoi with our local guide, Travis, who was knowledgeable, humorous and had exceptional English language ability. I would highly recommend.
This tour was brilliant! Bruno (or his real name Minh) was a fabulous, fun and knowledgeable guide. The prison was an eye-opener and coffee when the train rattled past on Train St was a real highlight. Visiting Ho Ch Minh's mausoleum was moving and special so close to his birthday.
We had such a fantastic time on the food tour in Hanoi with our lovely guide, Evelyn! From the moment we met her, she was warm, friendly, and clearly passionate about sharing the best of Hanoi’s street food scene. The bánh mì we tried were absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, packed with flavour on the inside. Evelyn took us to some amazing hidden spots we never would’ve found on our own, all while sharing great stories and fun facts about Vietnamese cuisine and culture. The perfect ending? Finishing the tour on iconic Train Street, watching the train whizz by with a cold drink in hand. It was the ultimate Hanoi experience. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to eat like a local and have a great time doing it!

The tour was a great way to get to some if the sites we wanted to see in a quick 4 hour adventure. Our guide, Paul, was awesome. He is very knowledgeable and shared not just the details of the sites we visited but also the Vietnamese economy, people and history.

Today we have sampled some fabulous traditional Vietnamese food. We booked the tour as we were unsure how to get the best of the culture. Our tour guide Bo was excellent with excellent English aswell. He carefully planned the route ensuring our exposure to food from typical Vietnamese venders, alway from the poor tourist foods. The tour included the famous train street and this was absolutely fantastic x Bo imalso provides essential safety tips that we weren’t aware off. This has really informed our trip going forward x thank you so much and keep up the great work x

Good trip around Hanoi with our very friendly and informative guide T! The team was able to accommodate our request for a later pickup but it meant reduced time to explore. The bus was comfortable and we saw the West Lake Pagoda, Temple of Literature and the train street. That is all we could fit into the time. We booked it at the last minute so had little time to confirm all activities that would be covered.

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip, especially experiencing Train Street. You absolutely must experience this as it is amazing! Our tour guide Tai was very knowledgeable and told us about loads of interesting facts during our tour. During most of our tour it was raining heavily and Tai made sure we stayed as dry as possible by giving us umbrellas and making sure the car was as close as possible to pick us up. I cannot thank him and our driver enough. Tai also sent us links after the tour so we could find good places to eat. We had Phong and a driver take us around Hanoi for 4 hours. We had already seen a couple of places so he was happy to adjust the itinerary. We learnt a lot from Phong about Vietnam and it’s long history. His English was great and he was happy to answer all our questions! Having a separate driver was great as he could drop us off and then pick us up in a different place. Price was a bit expensive but I think it was worth it - it also included entrance fee to the Prison, the Old Quarter Shop house and a stop for coffee/drinks.
Hanoi tour was arranged through Crossing Vietnam wherein Lana played leading role to coordinate all the issues. The tour comprised of visits to the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, Ba Da Pagoda, Cultural museum and the water Puppet show. All the places were covered very well without rushing anywhere. LANA's planning was perfect. The Water Puppet show was a unique experience. The highlight of the tour was the visit to the train street wherein our guide FIFI took extra initiative to select and guide us to a vantage point. FIFI always greeted and gave service with a refreshing and mesmerising smile.

Ha, which means 5 in Lao and River in Viet, was our guide today. He was very polite, well spoken and did an amazing job taking care of us. Our private tour of Hanoi city was great. I recommend it to anyone that is coming into Hanoi for the first time, second or third time. I would also recommend you do it first thing, as it gives you a better perspective of the city, and helps you navigate better. Ha’s knowledge of his city is outstanding and he explained everything in detail. He had some amazing facts that I would have never thought to ask.
