Retro Hop-on-hop-off Bonbon City Tour: Classic Package

This company has closed down, but somebody was HAPPY TO TAKE MY MONEY anyway. I made the booking through Tripadvisor. I thought I could trust TripAdvisor tomorrow are the quality of the companies they advertise. Nobody answers the phone number provided .

This company doesn’t exist. It would be beter if Viator takes them of the platform. Happily ever after there is enough to do in Hanoi.

This company doesn't seem to exist anymore. We bought tickets before leaving home and went looking for the bus the day of our tour - couldn't find it and after making phone calls to the number which were not answered we made further enquiries and were told the company no longer operates. Tour didn't happen

We Booked this trip and waited and one of the stops. THE BUS NEVER CAME! Then we tried to reach to contact person and the tour guide, but nobody answered when we called them and we got no answers at our text messages neither. Very unprofessional and I really really don’t recommend! Avoid booking this!

Hello, we travelled to hanoi on Feb 23-24 and bon bon bus passes.The bus did not operate as noted.We found the bus parked inside imperial citadel.we waited like idiots for 30 mins near the art street like idiots.The hot line number also does'nt work.

Brought my family of 6 including my 85 year old mother-in-law for a holiday in Hanoi and I decided to get the Bon Bon Classic package after reading all their positive reviews and it was the best decision ever! I was incredibly impressed and touched by the level of warmth and care that these ambassadors extended to us especially towards the elderly. I bought the package via Klook and my initial enquiries via messenger were met with super responsive and very informative replies. Due to my mother-in-law's mobility issues, Bon Bon even extended our time on the bus to the next day. Apart from that, the online ambassador even gave me directions as to closest boarding point from our hotel. This, is truly 5 star service!! During our 2 days, we had several ambassadors and they were all very patient, energetic, funny and knowledgeable about the destinations that we were going. Often they went beyond just the destination and would introduce other nearby places of interest and amazing eateries. I was very grateful that they were also able to accommodate our request to drop us to our nearest destination which is not in the listed stops but is enroute (at our last stop). The best part is that they were never late. We never had to wait very long for the next ride. My package came with 3 museum passes - Museum of History, Women's Museum and Museum of Fine Arts (saved me VND90,000 per person). Thoroughly enjoyed all 3 of them. Thank you, Bon Bon City Tours for making our Hanoi family trip so memorable. Keep up the amazing work! 😘 Tip: 1. Study the route and the times so that you can decide ahead when the next bus will arrive (comes every half an hour except 11am-12pm which is their lunch time). 2. If you are ever unsure as to where to meet, touch base with them via messenger before you trip. The online ambassador is super responsive.

the yellow busses really caught my eyes. i heard great things about this tour and now i got a chance to try it and im 100% satisfied.

This was a fun experience. I recommend doing this tour earlier on in your trip as they provide a helpful map with language translations, food recommendations and tickets to 3 of the museums. The ambassadors on the bus are very friendly and helpful. The bus was on time, sometimes a little early so recommend getting to the stop about 5-10 minutes prior. I was able to see many sites (5 or 6) in the one day.

Great way to get around Hanoi with 3 tired kids! Purchased discount discounts of Klook and spent the day adventuring around the city. Loved the hats that give you!

I booked the city tour with not much in mind. But it was surprisingly better than my expectation. I guess the best thing of the city tour is the guide on the bus. They are all young and enthusiastic who love to talk about their country and culture. The guide literally talked with me for an hour when I was finishing a full round of the bus before getting off any stop. Highly recommend people to be on the bus for a full round before getting off as well!

This is definitely one of the cooler city tours we have participated in countries we have been to. I love the fact that this isn't your usual Hop On Hop Off Bus, but a more local and convenient way to explore the city. Our ticket was valid for 24 hours, which really means 8 hours to go through the most famous locations in Hanoi. However, the best touch is the guide on board, so friendly and informative telling us about his own stories growing up in the city. BonBon's guide is super cool, with recommendations and coupons for some of the restaurants in town. We checked out a Bahn Mi place and it was awesome. If you're traveling and want something unique and flexible, this is it! BonBon all the way!

Because it looks "smaller" than the big-bus companies, we weren't sure whether to use Bonbon. But it was just great. This is the hop-on, hop-off service to take, especially if you are interested more in cultural stops (instead of the Hanoi prison, for example). We interacted personally with all the staff, including the drivers... they were so friendly. The guides told us stories about the areas we were driving through, asked us about our reactions to what we were seeing, and told us about thenselves... a very human experience that made it so much more than just a ride around town. It was convenient to book the service online, too... we received confirmation QR code tickets by email which we showed on our phones when we boarded at the stop closest to where we were staying. They also gave us three coupons to some of the museums on the route, which saved a few dollars. Even the printed map they gave us was very useful because it has restaurant and shopping recommendations (including some places that we had already tried and which were really good). My companion and I were very happy with the choice we made.

Very helpful tour ambassadors and interesting take on the history of Vietnam. They would even share their personal favourites in food and social events — just like a true local! Ambiance of the bus was the cherry on top! It helped me spot the bus in the crowded tourist areas. Breath of fresh air to talk to young adults (in English) who are into sharing culture and knowledge with others!

We had 2 days to stay in Hanoi so we opted in for the 24h pass, which took us around the city with 3 entrance tickets included. We loved the decoration, the lovely guide on board as well as their cute merchandises. Absolutely love the survival kit with so many recommendations about the city. Definitely recommend for travelers to Hanoi!

This hop on/off was not Running apparently that day. We searched for 1.5 hours with tour guide and stops on the route trying to help us. We ended up paying for another bus and NEVER SAW BONBON BUS even after riding the Thang Long ahanoi City tour bus route nonstop 2 times around.

Great way to see some highlights of Hanoi. The bus was smaller so it was able to move around the city easily. The guides were very informative.

The guides seemed more awkward and confused than even I was. We completely skipped over some stops which means I never got to see those sites. At the ones I did stop at, I usually had to pay extra for an audio guide or risk walking through everything without a clue as to what it was. The Temple of Literature also charged an entrance fee which was not part of the tickets that were included in the price. It would be cheaper and more enjoyable to go to these sites by yourself through Grab or a taxi.

Nice clean bus. Very helpful friendly staff. A lovely way in the heat to see the cultural sights of the city.

Absolutely thrilled with our decision to tour Hanoi with BonBon. The bus was comfy and cool, the staff was OUTSTANDING, and they even offer free tickets to local museums and gave us tons of recommendations. I wouldn’t have wanted to tour Hanoi any other way. We had an absolutely amazing experience with bonbon. The guides were extremely personable and gave suggestions and helped us figure out what all to do during our stay in Hanoi. The service was also extremely convenient and the buses were brand new and very cool.

I just went to Hanoi for some business things for a couple of days, and to be honest I didn't have a certain plan of what to do during my time here. And guess what, surprisingly when I was walking on Phan Dinh Phung Str., I saw a little yellow bus passing by with a very catchy name "BonBon". Later then, I decided to search for it and found all informations about this kind of experiencing tour, also I read the reviews of your past guests. Without thinking too much, I spent that afternoon finding the way to your office and got my ticket, and the next morning was so wonderful. It was so enjoyable. I fell in love with the decoration which was from the subsidy period of Vietnam, as the staff told me. And also the hospitality of your driver and assistant made a good impression on me. I had a great chance getting to know about people's life when talking to the staff. The driver also stopped for a while so that I can take such beautiful photos. I spent time to visit 2 museums and Temple of Literature before going back home. Your city tour really amazed me, and I will share this experience to my friends back in Switzerland. Hopefully I can be back to Hanoi and join the trip again. Keep up your good work!

My girlfriend and I hopped onto the BonBon busses in the Old Quarter and got to experience Hanoi from a completely different viewpoint. The stops were all educationally and culturally enriching, allowing us to immerse ourselves into the beautiful Vietnamese history. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They suggested places to eat or to stop and were knowledgeable about the surrounds. Thanks for the great experience!

It was such a wonderful time going all around the old quarter with your beautiful bus. Two months ago some of my friends returned home from the trip to Vietnam and they said that I definitely have to try hopping on Bonbon once I get here. And to be honest I was so impressed, both by the decorations in and outside and the friendliness of Bonbon's drivers and assistants. I was also interested in your tours, those that the girl onboard had introduced, but I didn't have enough time, such a pity. But in the near future I possibly will return and try them out. purchasing the ticket was probably the best decision of the year. The tour itself was amazing. The bus is clean and well conditioned. Its beautiful decoration is designed to give off a very Vietnamese vibe. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and charming. Since, on every famous sites we visited, she told us about the history, traditions attached the places, we were able to enjoy the trip to the fullest. Highly recommended to any new travelers. Definitely will return for more BonBon experience.

When we arrived to Hanoi we were not sure what to do. We decided to give Bonbon a try because we had no plans. The staff helped us decide which famous sites to see and dropped us off at each location. We got on the bus and they gave us a full guide for the city complete with history, important vocabulary words, what to eat, and other helpful tips as well as a full description of all of the stops that the bus makes. They offered us water whenever we got back on the bus and gave suggestions for places to eat whenever necessary. The bus was air conditioned which was also a huge plus since we were so hot walking around the city. We loved this tour and would 100% recommend it to future travelers!!!! Thanks Bonbon!!!

Booked a last-minute ticket to the bus because our prior plan was cancelled due to the rainy weather. I actually took their amazing film photo tour before, so I expected nothing less but a pleasant, well-organized experience. And they delivered just that! The bus was squeeky clean despite the horrible rain outside; the on-board staff was super nice and offered us tissues to clean ourselves. Mr. bus driver went above and beyond to take us all the way back to our hotel, although we stayed way off their usual route. Other than great customer service, you can expect the company's on-brand narration of subsidy Hanoi on the bus as well - cool stickers (I just learnt that you can actually buy them on the bus!), colorful decors, even an old TV (which we wished was still running). Overall, Opensea had made our few days in Hanoi a spectacular experience. Can't wait to come back next fall to enjoy their newest tours and services. Keep up the good work.

So glad that we have found BonBon bus on our way back to my hotel, so on the next day me and my team decided to hop on your bus buying the 24h tickets. It was such a great time for us to join BonBon, we were in love with the theme inside the bus, it was so vintage and brought us back to the old times cuz we had learned about the Vietnam War too. And the most interesting thing that we had was going across the Hanoi Old Quarter, as we went through many streets and saw the inhabitants doing their usual activities. We also love BonBon for its facilities, your bus is new so everything inside just so great. The driver and the assistant were hospitable to us, they also brought us back near our hotel at the end of the trip. Such an awesome trip we have had and we will definitely be back on BonBon again. The tour was so authentic Hanoi, from the retro decoration style of the bus to the iconic museums and cultural landmarks around the city, further more, the assistant on the bus was super friendly and helpful with many recommendations.
