Best Ninh Binh experience! I was lucky to find this company through a Reddit post (which was highly rated by various members) and they lived up to their reputation. I communicated with Sammy about one month before the trip and she made everything very easy by accommodating to our tour needs. We did the Mua Cave 500 steps, Tam Coc boat ride, and Bich Dong (opted out of the Tuyet Tinh Coc). Sammy originally was supposed to be our tour guide, but she had a tour scheduled in the day we needed it. She instead provided us with a young, bright personality Huyen (Anna) and it made the day trip much funner as we were able to compare our lifestyles. 12/10 would recommend this company. I don't think they offer small group tours so pricing may be a bit higher than Klook or tourist sites. But private tours are always the way to go. Ask for Sammy when booking. Ask for Huyen, or Sammy, for your tour.

Rose was a phenomenal guide for our group of 4 as we explored Ninh Binh! She was great to work with as we customized the plan for the day so we could see all the sights we wanted to, and brought an incredibly positive energy throughout the day that made the tour feel truly personal. She really made an effort to speak with us each individually, get to know us, and call out facts that she thought we might personally find interesting. Her knowledge of the area was phenomenal and she gave wonderful context about the region, local life, and Vietnamese culture. Truly, you could not pick a better person to help you experience such a beautiful place.

Me and my fiancé had the best experience ever with Rose. She is passionate, knowledgeable and talks about history and culture with so much depth it makes it really interesting. Her english is amazing too so you won’t have trouble understanding. She’s also very caring about the group- I got a bit dizzy from the heat and she helped me cool down and got me water. I would definitely go again with her:)

Rose was exceptional! We enjoyed every bit with her - she is super knowledgeable about local culture, cuisine, and history. Rose was the best guide we could have hoped for: pleasant, knowledgeable, energetic, and punctual. We started our tour with an amazing food tour, visiting local street-food spots that we would never have found on our own. We then continued to Hanoi's historical landmarks and also visited nearby destinations such as Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay. Although she is based in northern Vietnam, she coordinated our entire trip, arranging excellent tour guides and drivers at every destination we visited. She was always available on WhatsApp whenever we needed anything.

We booked a private Ninh Binh day trip through Rose at Roll with Locals, and it turned out to be the highlight of our Hanoi trip. Rose was already occupied on the day but seamlessly arranged our guide Quang and a driver — both excellent. The coordination was smooth and we never felt like an afterthought despite the last-minute arrangement. Quang was knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely good company throughout the day. He read our pace well and made the experience feel personal rather than transactional. The absolute standout was the private boat at Tràng An. Just the two of us gliding through the caves and karsts in complete quiet — the natural beauty is genuinely breathtaking and having the boat to ourselves made it even more special, both for the experience and for photographs. If you’re travelling as a couple, the private boat upgrade is non-negotiable. Worth every dollar. We skipped the Hang Mua climb for personal reasons but had zero regrets — Tràng An more than filled the day. Highly recommend Rose and the Roll with Locals team for anyone looking for a well-organised, personal Ninh Binh experience.

It was an awesome experience having local cuisine in Hanoi. Had banh Mi which was amazing (one of our favorite) and other few more cuisine too. Lastly, we finished with the famous ha long bay. Rose was an excellent guide and so we're her team members (Mr Linh in Hanoi and Mr. Dar in Da nang) and were depth knowledge of all the places. Very good in English and a very friendly guide too. It was a pleasure meeting her and both her team members mentioned above whom she arranged for usand would highly recommend her.

It was a beautiful day, they picked us up from our hotel at 7AM and drove us out to Ninh Binh and we grabbed coffee from a local codes shop and then took a boat ride and explored the countryside

Rose is friendly, good English, wants you to be comfortable and to get the most out of the experience. She chose stops and restaurants carefully so that food was varied and a real experience. Other travelers talk about overcrowding and rubbish in Halong Bay...we were taken to an area that was pristine and no other tourist boats in site. Both she in Hanoi and Dat in Hoi An are fun, considerate, informative and the real deal. The cultural exchange in Mai Hich was a highlight, but only one of many. Both Rose and Dat will adapt according to weather, and according to peoples' need and ability. I recommend wholeheartedly.

Would highly recommend Rose especially if in need of an English speaker. She showed us around Ninh Binh and took us to less common paths, so it felt more intimate and special. This is a 5 star agency! Rose and her team is the most professional Vietnamese travel agency we met. Rose organised everything to an all inclusive vietnam tour. She planned all the transportations, hotels, meals, guide services, trek etc.. The English language level is the best. Do not hesitate to fix your trip to Vietnam with Rose. Her food tour in Hanoi is a must do and also her motorbike tour. Genuine experience in vietnam and no tourist traps at all. Our itinerary was Hanoi, Ninh Binh, overnight in a wonderful luxury cruise ship in Ha long bay, Sapa visit local villages through a 3d/2n trek and Hoi An.

Was a lovely sunny day at Halong Bay! Enjoyed the beautiful scenery of rock formations over a delicious seafood lunch! So fun kayaking to the caves after lunch. Great tour duration for the day without having to stay overnight at the Bay. More economical and productive too! Rose did an amazing job in planning our itinerary taking into consideration our limited time and our elderly mum who has difficulty with movements. She was also caring and ready to help our mum whenever needed. Thankful to have Rose as our tour guide as she’s very knowledgeable in Vietnam history and culture and speaks very fluent English too.

This tour was one part of the trip we had with Sammy, our tour guide. What an excellent tour! This is a must do when in Vietnam! Sammy is so know knowledgeable and friendly... she customised a 14 hour tour of Hanoi and Ninh Binh for us and we enjoyed a full day of history, beauriful sights, amazing food and great company. We were thankful that Sammy could give us cultural history and share knowing w us about Vietnam. She speaks English and that made it easy for us to share and ask questions. Sammy organized the Bai Dinh tour for my friend and I. She is amazing!! Her knowledge, her hard-working nature and her bountiful energy, made this a tour to remember. She understood and customized the day to our requirements (to a tee). Even though not originally on her tour, she added the Bich Dong Pagoda because I requested it. It was like hanging out with a friend, she is easy going and a pleasure to be around. She has a clear passion for the job she does and loves everything Hanoi. I wish she was all over Vietnam for any of our next trips. I recommend her and only her….every time you visit!!

We did a day trip from Hanoi to Ninh Binh with Rose, where we went on a boat trip through caves, and on a bike tour. The entire experience was incredible from start to finish. Rose is the most enthusiastic and kind tour guide. I can honestly say that the trip wouldn’t have been the same without her.

I recently experienced THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME! I spent two weeks in Vietnam and was led in a wide variety of activities by Rose. It is difficult to summarize in one review just how deep is her knowledge of Vietnam, how well organized are her activities, how she takes care of every detail, and how she can adjust activities to meet individual needs and expectations. In these two short weeks I saw many sites in Hanoi, trekked along mountain trails amidst the rice fields in Sapa and Mu Cang Chai, visited local markets to see the amazing array of fruits, vegetables, meat and fish, herbs, clothing, etc. We even picked fruit and vegetables in private gardens to include in an amazing meal. Numerous times on the mountain treks she stopped and picked leaves from a plant to show me a herb that was used for medicinal purposes. She has a wealth of knowledge about the local culture. We boated through caves at Trang An - I know of no other more peaceful and beautiful place. I went paragliding! I met and visited with local people, learning of their culture. We rode a tram to the highest point in Indochina. In Hanoi Rose knows all the best street food places as well as classy restaurants. In fact, Rose is a chef! I took her cooking class! She was very patient with me - one who almost never cooks. It was a wonderful experience followed by a delicious meal. Rose took me to a village where fabulously beautiful ceramics is made. At another village they made colorful piggy banks for export all over the world. We also saw a clothes factory. She knows the hidden, but very popular coffee shops and specialty restaurants. Depending on the activity, we walked, rode a motorbike, or took a car. Every event far exceeded my expectations. If you want to see a beautiful country, meet wonderful people, experience fantastic food, then consider Vietnam and be sure to Roll with Rose. She is the absolute BEST! You might just experience your “trip of a lifetime”.

Had a great trip to Ninh Binh with Rose. She organized everything for us (2 people). Private car to Ninh Binh from Hanoi and back again, water, lunch, dancing mountain climb, cycling trip to see the area. Visitied a temple, a small cave and a grave yard. Nice river boat trip through 3 caves (Rose lets you enjoy the boat trip alone, but beware that the man/woman on the boat will expect a generous tip at the end). All the while she explains and tells about the things you see, and answers every question you have. Even curious how things in Vietnam compares to your home country. Rose is super friendly, open, mindful, quite outgoing and energetic. We did both the Ninh Binh trip and cooking class with Rose in a single day, starting at around 5 am ending at around 6 pm. They were so kind as to drop us of at the train station afterwards (~ 45 mins drive each way for them). Would recommend either activity.

Wow where do I even begin?? Sam was an absolute GEM of a tour guide! Not only was she filled with knowledge about Vietnam's history & culture, but she also provided her own personal stories and experiences which made our time with her that much more meaningful. As far as tour guides go, Sam is by far one of the best. She's energetic, passionate, and an overall pleasure to be around. We had her with us for 4 days, during which we did Ninh Binh, HaLong Bay, the dancing caves, biking through rice fields, touring the local markets, and trying all the delicacies of Vietnam. Our favorite part was her enthusiasm for the job, which she clearly loves. Sam was able to show us sides of Hanoi that we would be unable to ever find ourselves. She took us through hidden alleys and winding staircases, giving us a real local experience through the old district. No busy touristy areas, just the real Vietnam. She was professional, answered hundreds of our questions, and we spent a lot of time laughing together, making it an overall unforgettable trip. I've been to Vietnam several times over the past 6 years but I've never experienced it like this. Hanoi now holds a special place in my heart, thank you Sam for sharing your beautiful city with us, we're looking forward to being back soon. Everything that we did with Sammy was great. Her energy and her knowledge was great. We spent 4 days around Hanoi and she showed us so many things that we wouldn't be able to do without her. I have nothing but 5 star plus ratings for our tour guide Rose Nguyen! She was such a sweet and caring person who takes a lot of pride in her work and has a passion for doing whatever she can to make your trip special! She was extremely knowledgeable about her city/country and she had great recommendations for restaurants (we prefer non tourist ones) and must try foods while there, things to do besides what we did on the tour, catered the entire time to us and what we wanted to do or see, extremely easy to talk to (still keep in touch with her, even 6 months later), and just always went above and beyond. My husband and I have traveled a lot around the world and she is by far one of the best guides we’ve ever had! You won’t be disappointed or let down if you request her as your guide to do the Private Trang An ecotourism tour! Great resource also, if she doesn’t know the answer to your question or request, she will find out for you. We needed another guide in another area of the country and she found us another very good private guide.
