This was a good way to start our Vietnam trip. From the time we were picked up from our hotel to the time we were dropped back, the time just went by in a jiffy. Our guide Lan made sure we all had fun as well as learnt about the local artisans. Thanks a lot to Richards for arranging the trip and we are looking forward for another one from him tomorrow.

Itinerary
Our tour guide and vehicle will pick you up at your hotels then start the Tour Quang Phu Cau Incense sticks village and Hanoi Train Street. In case you do not need hotel pickup, you can go to this site (the meeting point) to meet our tour guide and the vehicle
Visitors to Quang Phu Cau incense village will get the chance to learn about the technique of making incense sticks traditionally and snap a ton of original check-in photographs. It is not difficult to find a great angle for a nice picture. If you finish this village without taking photos, then you haven't gone to this destination at all. Additionally, you also get to know the bustling lifestyle of the locals since you first arrived at the incense village: how villagers make incense sticks for a living, the process of production (Tour guide will explain the manufacturing process of the incense sticks in detail). The incense in this Hanoi incense village is particularly lovely and exceptional because it is red and yellow, the auspicious colors of the East. So many local and international photographers have used this town as a location for photo shoots for many years because it naturally has already a perfect background.
Vietnamese conical hat or "Non la" has come into casual life not just a part of Vietnam national custom but a cultural trait. For centuries, conical hats have symbolized Vietnamese women, expressing the simple beauty of the country’s femininity. The hats were worn by women everywhere, not only to protect them from the sun and rain but also to enhance their beauty. The most famous place for conical hat making in northern Vietnam is Chuong Village. The craft of making the Vietnamese traditional hat dates back three centuries in the village. Conical hats can be made by Chuong Village’s artisan all year round, but summer is the peak season. Each family prepares lots of raw materials to make thousands of hats. There are many parts to the hat-making process: some families focus on leave making, some on hats, and others on laths. We visit this village, meet the handicraft local artisans and learn how to make the product. Decorate the Vietnamese traditional hats by painting them at your own
Visiting Hanoi Train Street in Hanoi is one of the Best Things To Do to learn and explore Hanoi local life Rather than being a normal road with car or motorbike traffic, it has actual real railway lines running through it. It is so interesting to have a coffee in a cafe next to the train street and see the train passing by. It is a very nice experience Our vehicle and tour guide will drop you of the same morning pickup. End of the trip & Have a good time!

Ms. Lan was our guide and during the entire tour she ensured we were engaged fully with lots and lots of local history and the Incense making/conical hat making/lacquer painting. The vehicle provided was excellent and despite we were a little slow, the driver ensured that we don’t miss out on the Train street excitement. Will recommend this tour to my friends too.
Enjoyed watching some new skills on the village side of Hanoi and interacted with the actual artisans. Had a wonderful guide in Kannada, who was fluent in English, funny and very helpful. Would recommend my friends also who may come to Vietnam trip.
We, a family of 6 senior citizens had taken this 3 in 1 trip to incense making, conical hat making and lacquer painting villages. Our guide Ms. Lan is very interactive, funny and had very interesting stories to share. Overall, all group members enjoyed the tour
Overall great experience. We used their services for this 3 in1 tour as well as some transfers. Very good communication at all times. Their tour guide Ms. Lam was fluent in English speaking and was funny and made the experience more interesting.
This little tour is such a joy, packed with 3 different items. In Lan, we had a good guide who could speak excellent English, helpful and full of interesting stories. Very enjoyable tour!
I had an amazing day thanks to my wonderful guide, Sam. Sam went above and beyond—taking the time during our travels to point out sights, explain cultural practices, and highlight the differences between city life and rural life. On top of all that, Sam is also a fantastic photographer! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
The tournguide was very unprofessional. She looked like she just rolled out of bed in her pj's, uncooked hair and half her fake nails missing. She did not appear to know the proper directions and the driver had to stop and ask directions several times. Our guide did not give us any information and did not have any activities set up for us. We just wandered random streets and alleyways. Trains trees was closed so we ended our tour early. This tour was a complete waste of time and a very odd experience. We weren't sure if the tour guide was hungover or still under the influence of whatever she was partaking of the night before.
We, 2 couples, enjoyed the private tour immensely. The initial correspondence was perfect. All our questions prior to the tour were answered. Nhet, our tour guide, was incredibly amazing, spoke good English and shared wealth of very interesting information with us. He was fun to have a tour with on our first day in Hanoi. The car was very clean and the driver was very courteous. The coffee and beer on the Train Street was so fun. All 4 of us highly recommend the tour agency and are very happy with everything. Thank you so much

The beginning of the trip was an interesting experience when we enjoyed coffee right on the train tracks, many tourists participated in this experience. In addition, visiting the incense village was very interesting, we were provided with knowledge about the Incense Village. The tour guide Hana is a wonderful girl, friendly, knowledgeable and very good at creating an atmosphere throughout the trip, the atmosphere is always lively and not boring, highly commend Hana.
The visit to the incense village was very interesting, luckily we came at a time when there were not many tourists, so we were free to explore, learn and especially take lots of photos at every point without having to wait. The train street coffee was an equally interesting experience, the feeling was very interesting and stimulating. Overall I had a really good day . Thanks

This is the first timeI have had such a wonderful and interesting experience. Sitting and enjoying coffee right on the train racks is really interesting. And everything goes back to normal after the train ride . It is really interesting. Thank you for letting us experience this wonderful thing.
It was good fun. Can took good care of us, especially my parents. The whole experience was pretty good!
I recently booked a Viator tour for three people, expecting a comfortable van for our journey. However, our experience fell short of expectations. Despite booking for three persons, we were cramped into the backseat with me seated in the middle, which was incredibly uncomfortable, especially considering I had undergone neck surgery. The 50-minute drive was particularly challenging, and my neck was left hurting by the end of it. In terms of advice for future travelers, I recommend bringing your own bottled water, especially if you're visiting during hot weather, as it can be quite exhausting. Despite the discomfort during the journey, the tour itself was enjoyable. Exploring the train street and the enchanting Incense Village provided a fascinating glimpse into Hanoi's culture and traditions, making the overall experience worthwhile. However, I hope that Viator can improve their transportation arrangements to ensure a more comfortable journey for all travelers.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very good. Tour company is very genuine. Will recommend everyone.
Quang Phu Cau's small display of incense bundles set out to dry in lovely designs is bursting with color. The red and magenta bundles are especially breathtaking. One of the women who sets up the bundles was a ray of joy, smiling and posing for pictures while she worked and with us. We got to see how bamboo is cut into size, how the incense is affixed to the sticks, and the multitude of warehouses storing bundles of bamboo soon to be turned into incense sticks. The drive from Hanoi is one hour each way, through countryside. My friend and I chose a private tour, so it was only us in the car with the guide and driver, enabling us to go at our own pace.
We had an amazing experience with this trip. Our tour guide was funy, informative. The incensevillage was impressive, a great place to have photos (make sure to check the weather to have tour. It should be dry weather, NO rain). The train street is also a unique experience. I really recommend this tour.
So beautiful and interesting. It's a memorable experience when you wake up early in the morning and buy the most colorful flowers. There are thousands of flowers for your choice. It's hard to bargain in a wholesale market except you buy a large quantity.
Linh was a really great guide! Friendly, prepared and helpful. We spent some quality time with him. The driver also super helpful. Beautiful day.
The length of time was just right, we had enough time at both locations, our guide Bruno explained the process of making the incense sticks in detail and took excellent care of the photos. Nice ending at Train Street (drink is already included). Pick-up from the hotel and return transport was problem-free
