Private Tour Halong Bay One Day With Cave, Kayaking, Bamboo Boat

Excellent day at Halong Bay. On-time pick up from hotel in Hanoi and pleasant drive to Halong Bay. We had our own boat and it was lovely. The cave walks were amazingly beautiful and the rower of other sampans was perfect as he effortlessly guided us through 2 tunnels. We had a wonderful Vietnamese seafood feast aboard the vessel which was absolutely delicious! The best part of the trip was simply the beauty of the numerous mountains throughout the bay! Our guide, Vinh, made the whole day extra special! Great value and great day.

My tour with Robert was without question among the best I have ever done. Our time on Halong Bay was incredibly beautiful and peaceful. The boat crew were professional and accommodating, and the lunch they prepared was fantastic. The tour, on its face, far exceeded my expectations. But the most valuable and memorable part of the experience was spending time with and getting to know the guide, Robert. I learned more in the day that I spent with him than I could have ever hoped to learn in my entire trip to Vietnam. He is one of the most knowledgeable, pleasant, and overall decent human beings I have ever encountered. This was one of the best tours I’ve been on. Robert felt more like a friend than a tour guide and was full of information on pretty much everything! We were picked up at our AirBnb and from there went to Halong Bay. Robert kept us informed of the day’s activities and was a great conversationalist. The driver and staff on the boat: Captain; Mr. Phai, Chef; Ms.Hang and Waiter; Mr.Hai, were all so kind. The tour was incredible. We visited where they make pearls and learned about the process, then on to the boat where we embarked on a journey though the bay, seeing the limestone islands up close, stopping to explore a cave and then visiting some locals who took us on a fishing boat through emerald green lagoons. We were served a delicious lunch on the boat (the fish was AMAZING). Robert was so kind and helpful from both the minute we booked to the end of our trip to Vietnam, recommending other places to explore as well as his favorite restaurants and what we should try, as well as any other Vietnam-related questions. Based on this tour, I would recommend any of the Love Vietnam Travel experiences! Thank you so much, Robert, for this incredible day!

The whole trip was excellent, from been picked up to been dropped off we were well looked after. Robert was brilliant, he told us so much about the area and made sure everything was perfect. We had a private boat and I would highly recommend this as for the extra money we were taken to quiet places away from all the other large boats so this made it a special day. Robert was an amazing guide and the whole experience was absolutely fantastic! We went on a Saturday morning and it was a seamless trip. The lunch on board was delicious (fresh vegetables, chicken springrolls, and grilled oysters were just some of the tasty options)! If I could change anything about it, I would have spent longer on the boat because it was so peaceful and enjoyable.

Our trip to Ha Long Bay was incredible. We were picked up from our hotel and driven to Ha Long Bay stopping along the way at an Oyster farm where they showed you how to make a pearl! At the Marina we boarded a beautiful boat with carved wooden ceiling and handrails. We cruised around the bay while our guide pointed out all the significant islands. We then had the most delicious lunch on the boat of prawns, shrimp, oysters and sea bass with a salad and vegetables. After lunch we went kayaking to 2 beautiful lagoons before heading back to the boat and were driven back to our hotel. The weather was beautiful, our guide Robert was wonderful and the scenery spectacular. Such a wonderful day.

Absolutely incredible. Robert is 100% the best guide that I’ve had. Good service amazing food made fresh and great atmosphere. I would recommend to anyone. Traveling with a 22 year old daughter and 20 year old son. Many times said best experience they have ever had. If you ever have a day in Hanoi would more than recommend the private tour.

Private little boat cruise in breathtaking Ha Long Bay today. Boat had a dragon on the front to protect us so… good, I guess. Holds like 48 people but it was just us. Whole boat. Two bathrooms, one chef. Not bad! There are about 1,500 - 2,000 islands and limestone inlets there, it’s not a typo — it’s just endless rock formations popping out of the water in every direction. The views are kinda ridiculous… giant rocks popping outta the water everywhere, misty, quiet… doesn’t even look real - we were served shrimp, sea bass, oysters, oyster shells stuffed with crab meat, pineapple ,,,, Idelicious

Booked a private tour for Halong Bay. Great to have the private transfer from hotel and we have the whole boat to ourselves (big boat capacity for 48pax).. Robert our guide was very proactive in reaching out prior to the trip and sharing history and knowledge during the trip. Food was delicious on the boat as well. Seafood was fresh and the catered for a vegetarian in our group. Enjoyed the moment without crowd and having the whole boat to ourselves admiring the views of Halong Bay.

This was a magnificent experience. I took the whole family wife and kids and we had a blast even after flying 22 hours to get here. This is a unique experience with similar scenery as Guilin in China with a more intimate view of Heavenly Palace cave and a row boat ride through a couple tunnels underneath the rocks. Totally worth the $$$ to get your own boat especially for us because our flight delay made us late for this but it didn't impact the experience at all. The crew and guide were all pleasant and fun to talk with. Highly recommended for all travelers.

This was the best experience in Vietnam !! A personal trip with our own driver and Robert is the most friendly and interesting guy. We had our own boat to take us around the stunning bay, with a cook who made us fresh oysters, shrimp, the best spring rolls, delicious sea bass , fresh crab and fresh fruit. We were taken into a stunning cave which was unbelievable, and the lagoons we accessed via a little wooden rowing boat were so tranquil . It was the most perfect day trip , you must do this and miss the crowds and the queuing , it is the most relaxing , stunning trip - thank you Robert .

Robert was a wonderful and caring tour guide who had excellent English and shared a lot of knowledge with us about Halong Bay! The boat staff were also lovely and put on a beautiful and delicious seafood feast for lunch. We loved visiting the cave on this tour. I’d recommend bringing your own cold water and plenty of it as all drinks need to be purchased on the tour. Overall it was a great tour and nice to do it privately with just our family and at our own pace.

Amazing tour UNESCO officially recognized the Ha Long Bay in Vietnam as a new World Natural Heritage site. Now we know why… We were lucky to have a guide (Hai or Robert) who was a fantastic guide, who helped us plan our short time well, avoid the heat and turn these days into a memory forever. The trip was planned perfectly by Robert from start to finish. I found the booking by email very easy and all questions were answered thoroughly. I was careful to pick a safe company as we were travelling with our young children and we could not be happier. Robert also recommended that we leave early to beat the rush on our one day Halong bay trip and it was a brilliant idea. We had the cave all to ourselves! We also beat the crowds at the other sites too. I should also mention that Robert swapped the day of the trip with no fuss when we had a family emergency.

We originally were booked with a group tour which is about 1/3 the price for the family. All of a sudden they tried shaking us down for $10 extra dollars 24 hours prior. I was told never book with someone asking for more money. Because it will never stop. So I pulled the cord and paid triple for a private tour. You only live once and it will probably be the only time we ever visit Halong Bay Vietnam. So next thing we know we are in a 48 seater boat and we have the whole boat to ourselves. Our daughter got to drive the boat, we got to go to private caves where the big tours do not go and kayaking in a Lagoon. It was very relaxing atmosphere. They even had a chef on board and made us our own personal meal. If your going to experience due it right and book a private tour.

Ha Long Bay is simply breathtaking. The complex natural beauty is a gift that keeps on giving. The beauty of the islands as seen from the sea are only half of the story as the caves hidden beneath the surface are as glorious. Choosing to have a private tour gave us the benefit of a direct journey from Hà Nội to the marina in Ha Long. Collected from our hotel and taken straight back gave us a later start and an earlier finish that a longer tour plus day spent with Robert as our excellent guide - knowledgeable, helpful and really good fun. The cruise on the Dragonfly took us through the amazing scenery and meant that we feasted on a glorious lunch. We ended the day with our heads, bellies and hearts full.

The knowledge of the area from our guide was super informative and interesting and he spoke very good English. Also made sure we got the best places for photo opportunities and the lunch was AMAZING and filling and a wide variety for everyone’s taste. The caves were definitely a highlight! And the kayaking was so much fun and relaxing. The private tour was definitely worth every penny. Especially if this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience it.

My wife and I were collected by private car at our hotel in Hanoi and taken to Halong Bay by our excellent driver Hung. We were joined by our guide Robert who was a really nice guy and very knowledgable. We boarded a beautiful boat called White Tiger which transported us around the beautiful Halong Bay. We visited the beautiful Thien Chung Cave . It had no crowds as we were on a private tour. Later, we were presented with an incredible 10 course seafood lunch which included oysters, giant prawns, squid, fresh snapper, stuffed crab and spring rolls together with fresh local vegetables and fruit. The whole day was and amazing experience and one we would highly recommend. Our special thanks to Robert who helped to make the day so special for us!!

Could not have asked for a better day it was the highlight of our entire trip. Our guide Robert was phenomenal! He was very knowledgeable, and so nice and welcoming. Everything went smoothly from the drive from Hanoi to the cave visit, the cruise on the bay and the ride back to Hanoi in ample time for an evening engagement. Highlight of 10 days in Vietnam. Our guide Robert was exceptional. Would highly recommend. The whole experience went very smoothly. We booked a private tour. We were picked up promptly at our hotel in Hanoi and driven to HaLong Bay in a private car. Also had a huge boat to ourselves in the bay. Avoided the crowded caves and routes of the group tours and could admire the caves and bay without the crowds. Lunch was amazing.Robert was extremely nice, spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable about the bay.

We went kayaking early and got to explore the lagoons by ourselves. It was very serene. Lunch on the boat was delicious and fresh. The cave we went to, Thien Cung Cave, was spectacular. Very memorable and worthwhile experience.

Amazing experience. Picked up early from the airport and they were flexible to pick me up earlier with little notice the night before. My tour guide Tommy (Dương Tùng) was the best. Very friendly, very organized, and knew a lot about Vietnam. I had the whole boat to myself with a clean bathroom, a friendly crew, and good lunch. We even stopped by a Pearl workshop on the way back and I got to see how they cultivate pearls. Amazing value!!! Can’t recommend enough- do it!

Our tour guide did an excellent job telling the history and character of the Bay and a provided 5 star experience. The ship crew was also very hospitable and added to our great experience.
