Kane gave us a wonderful walking food tour of Hanoi! He was very knowledgeable about Hanoi, the history of the local food, buildings, and Vietnam’s history. The food was absolutely delicious, and Kane checked with us before each dish about what we liked/disliked and any allergies. We had dry chicken pho, banh mi, grilled pork noodles, and finished with egg coffee. Kane also took great photos for us. We’re full and very happy. Thank you Kane!

Crossing Vietnam Tours coordinated a private visit for my friend and I over a 2 week period in early November 2025. From our arrival in Hanoi to our departure from HCMC everything went smoothly. This included a mid visit typhoon requiring alternate tours, stays and meals. We had an idea of some specific places & activities we wanted and CVT filled in the rest. Our hotels were mostly 5* and had great food and excellent service. Drivers and tour guides were all local allowing us to learn so much about the country and the culture. Stella, our contact, always available via WhatsApp, was patient, helpful and professional. We had an amazing visit to this fascinating country and look forward to our next trip! We had the best time on our private food tour with Thuy! She showed us around, ordered all the best dishes, and taught us a bit about the history and culture behind them. We truly loved our evening with Thuy and would recommend her (and this tour) to anyone.

Overall pretty good. The addition of train street made for a better experience albeit just the engine passing. Had Bun cha. Pho. Bahn mi. Coffee, sticky rice ice cream. Guide was Mac who was terrific.

Evelyne started our food adventure in Hanoi’s buzzing Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are alive with motorbikes, sizzling woks, and aromatic herbs. Right from the start, we felt immersed in the real Hanoi. Not the version you get from guidebooks. The food was the heart of the experience, we tried several classic Vietnamese dishes. The so called “bun-cha” was absolutely amazing. The other dishes were not much short of that. Evelyne left us satisfied, fulfilled and excited with tons of ideas for our next stops.

This is a great tour to do! We went on a private tour with Evelyn and she did great! We had the best food in the best places without tourists but with locals. She also told us a lot about the history of Vietnam, the best places to ge, eat and activities. Perfect start of our holiday in Vietnam🇻🇳

This tour was great. Our tour guide Lucy is a local who grew up in Hanoi so it was great to get her insight on all the different types of street food and restaurants. As first time visitors to Vietnam and Hanoi she cut through all the finding out things and for example took us to a secret coffee shop we would never have gone to or have been brave enough to find. She also told us lots of info about the Old Quarter and people’s customs and how the streets got their names etc. Would definitely recommend this tour.

This food tour is superb. Our tour guide Quinn is very knowledgeable and friendly. We walked around old quarter tried traditional vietnamese foods and had mini souvenir shopping in between in the local market. I loved her strategy of carrying out the tour. We walked and rewarded ourselves with different traditional foods of vietnam. Highly reccommend.

We really enjoyed this tour with our guide, Stella. Vietnamese cuisine is already excellent as we all know, but Stella was able to give us an off the beaten path tour of some of the best Vietnamese food we have ever had. She was also a great person to spend the day with and was very candid in answering all of our questions. This tour is highly recommended.

I’m Vietnamese so I was hoping for real Hanoi street food experience. I had to keep asking the tour guide to take us to another place. The place they brought us seem commercialized and were delicious at all. We’re better off walking around by ourselves trying street vendors. Would not recommend this.

My family and I went on a tour with a lovely woman called Lena. She was so sweet and friendly, and provided us with some great Vietnamese history, shopping tips, as well as extensive knowledge of the food we tasted. The food was beautiful - I recommend the coconut coffee at the end of the tour. So. Good.

We spent a lovely three hours tasting the culinary delights of Hanoi with Lily. Lily was wonderful company and introduced us to a wide range of Vietnamese street food. Being new to Hanoi the food offerings around every corner can be daunting to the visitor, so I suggest one of these street tours early on in your tour to allow you the opportunity to taste everything on offer. We had five stops over the course of the afternoon - three food stops (we were stuffed!), a visit to Train Street and a final coffee stop. All the food was absolutely delicious (I wish we could have finished stop # three). Lily coordinated everything with care and planning, anticipating when we could walk to a venue, when a taxi was required and plans needed to be altered. You finish the tour feeling satisfied, keen to try more Vietnamese food and happy with the value for money you have received. An excellent activity! Thank you.

We were picked up from our hotel by Kyle our private guide for the night. He had been involved in a motorbike accident that day and had suffered a facial injury but despite this still came to work. The tour was great and I would recommend it to anyone, we had some great food and Kyle was very informative during the tour. We visited train street which was busy but we had a spot reserved for us. Do this trip on your first night 10/10

An interesting and enjoyable tour at small local restaurants. The food was enjoyable and provided a good selection of typical Vietnamese cuisine. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. An excellent way to try different local dishes and discover small family run restaurants. I knocked one star off as the tour was a little rushed at 2.5 hours instead of the three hours advertised.

What an amazing experience! This is my 2nd time, Will recommend to do the tour from 10am to lunch time. 💜 We had so much fun! Our tour guide, Lily gave us great choices!
