Located on the banks of the Red River, Bat Trang Ceramic Village belong to Gia Lam district, about 13km from the centre of Hanoi. Over the past 500 years of history with the ups and downs of the same time. But the name Bat Trang still exists and growing up until now.

My mom and I went on the Hanoi private tour, which took us to several places we wanted to see. Johnny was our guide and we really liked him. He's both informative and friendly and his English is good too. He also took pictures for us! I especially appreciated him being with us for the museum and temple visits as he offered a lot of insight into those spots which I don't think you'll get from reading signs, etc. We don't eat much meat, so he took us to a great vegetarian place. Usually guides take you places that you don't see any locals at, and often the food is just average, but this spot was full of locals and the food was excellent. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hanoi for the first time. You'll be able to see several important things in one day, and get a feel for the city.

Great tour to see and learn a little about Hanoi! We took this on our first day to better understand the area. Our guide was great and gave us a lot of odd information while taking us to some of the most important and popular locations in the city.
Hien was a fabulous tour guide! We learned so much about the city, the country and the culture, and he was wonderfully about tailoring the tour to our interests and schedule. Fabulous tour of all the historic sites in and around Hanoi city. Our tour guide Duc was both very friendly and knowledgeable. We visited the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hoa Lo Prison, watched the fascinating train arrival in Hanoi Train street, St Joseph cathedral and wonderful Chua tran Quoc. Fabulous day and delicious Vietnamese lunch and egg coffee 😋
We had a great experience in town. We sent a special day with Duc who gave us a lot of context about the Country before to immerse ourself in all the places we visited. We touch every aspect of life here also through interesting conversation. We learned a lot. The food was absolutely amazing as well and we highly recommend to go for the bun Cha. Thanks also to our driver Tuan who patiently drove us everywhere at our own pace.

My tour of Hanoi with David was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and simply the best guide I could have wished for! David took me to all the major sights — the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Museum of Ethnology, and of course the famous Train Street, which was an absolute highlight for me. He also brought me to a lovely local restaurant for lunch, where I got to enjoy authentic Vietnamese food. David speaks excellent English and explains everything with great passion and detail. Hien was an excellent tour guide. He was informative about the history and culture of Vietnam. Times were taken into consideration due to it being a weekend and we started the tour earlier than planned due to the Hoi Chi Mins Mausoleum and it closing in the afternoon. Our lunch was also excellent and we choose vegetarian and Haan did not disappoint. Told him about my husbands desire to see a Train Street and again he did not disappoint and we saw two trains go by and. He choose an excellent viewpoint. All in all I would recommend him to family and friends and if we revisit Hanoi I would book again with him. Thanks for the most enjoyable day.

Emma is an awesome hostess and we had a great driver in an air conditioned, tidy car. Emma’s knowledge of Vietnamese history is great but we were unable to get into Ho Chi Minh’s place of rest due to it being closed. I think we spent too much time at the museum and the markets were not worth the time but the train street was awesome! Emma set us up at a great spot while we pretended not to be with her. Haha. Overall, it was Emma who made our day but the sights themselves were sadly lacking.

We really enjoyed our tour in Hanoi. Hin was an excellent tour guide who explained everything clearly and showed many great spots. The tour was very flexible and we were able to finish the tour watching a train passing by so close to us while drinking coffee. Lastly, Hung, our driver was very careful and we felt very safe despite the hectic of Hanoi traffic.

The trip was a nice assortment of historical places, great museum, food and local crafts. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun to be with - he clearly loved his country and sharing it with visitors.
Our guide, Hien, speaks English very well, and provided an excellent commentary on the history of Viet Nam and its complicated and war torn history. The tour included a visit to the Ethnicity Museum, showing the many different groups of people isolated by the mountains. The tour also included the train shops, Ho Chi Mhm's Mausoleum, and a crazy goods market.
We only had a few hours to see Hanoi, but our guide Hien made it a great visit. We visited the Ho Chi Mihn mausoleum (outside grounds since the visiting period was earlier in the day), One Pillar Pagoda, drove through the Old Quarter and spent some time on Train Street having refreshments before experiencing the train passing (definitely a must do). Hien's explanation of events and culture, both current and historical, was educational for all of us. Working with Hien to arrange this Hanoi visit and several other visits within Vietnam (Ho Chi Mihn City, Hue/Hoi An and Halong Bay) went smoothly...and even when there were last minute changes to our itinerary, he was most accommodating. We will definitely work with Hien when we plan our next trip to Vietnam!! Thank you again, Hien.

This was a really good introductory tour of Hanoi, touching on most of what we thought were going to be the main sights.
