We loved the cu chi tunnels and how the experience brings a small part of history to life. Cruise along the Mekong river and experiencing the dance in the village was also brilliant. Quang Lee the tour guide was brilliant, he’s was energetic and brought the tour to life with stories and experiences.
This trip did not live up to expectations Our tour guide wasn’t as organised as any others we had had previously and he kept rushing ahead leaving our group behind The tour around Hoa Lu was quite boring and VERY overcrowded The cycle ride was just along a road, not round a scenic lake!! Lunch - well just awful An overcrowded canteen with food that was dry and chewy. I was unable to eat much as have a nut allergy and no one able to confirm what was cooked with nut oils or contained nuts At least we enjoyed the boat tour but even that was like a conveyor belt and too busy I wouldn’t recommend
Ms Snow was extremely lovely. Very knowledgeable and high energy, we had a great time in Ninh Binh. The boat ride in tam coc turned out to be hot and slow. Definitely chose the short route and go in the later afternoon. We had originally suggested this, but in the end we still went in the hottest part of the day. We were kindly invited to dinner over at the family’s house, which was very generous. However it turned out to be dinner for us, and the family had already eaten, which is not what we expected and then felt a bit awkward. Still, the food was delicious and it was wonderful to meet the young children. It is run by an extremely hard working sister team and we wish them all the best!

We had a unforgettable time with Thao and Snow in Ninh Binh and Tam Coc. They have been great guides and explained every information about the place we visited. The lunch was very delicious in a local restaurant hidden in the rice fields. Highly recommended!
We spent an amazing day with Thao in Tam Coc and Ninh Binh (Mua cave on sunset, canoe tour with a cave, bike tour, pagodas) in May 2023. She organized everything, was very responsible and totally flexible, took us to all locations and even managed our departure with a sleeper bus. The highlight was that Thao invited us to her family home to cook real Vietnamese food. She speaks English. We recommend her!

Boat ride was lovely at Tam Coc. Bike ride was pretty but quite short. Temple visit was very busy. A good trip but lots of similar trips happening so quite busy and touristy.
I have a bad habit of not reviewing post visit but the experience with Hanoi tour and travel pushed me to review of our superb experience... Give 100 marks to Hanoi Explore travel( christine).. She has arranged a private tour which is worth if you want to visit Ninh Binh at your comfort.. We did Pagoda, Tam coc and Mua cave... The guide MRs Thong and our car chaueffer Mr Trung were amazing and absolutely helpful... We did Indian vegetarian lunch and price for buffet was removed from total bill... I strongly recommend this tour and travel and the important thing is that they are reliable and trustworthy.. You can pay advance with no thoughts in mind.... Thanks for a wonderful experience in a day.. Lat thing to mention that our private tour was for almost 12 hrs which is not the case in group tour...

I had an amazing time taking a day trip down to Ninh Binh. Thao was my group’s tour guide and she was incredible. Thao was so welcoming, fun, helpful, and sweet. She made sure that we were always okay and were having fun whether we were biking, kayaking, or site seeing. Make sure to say hello to Thao and introduce yourself. She was amazing!!!!!

We are just back from a one day tour in Ninh Binh with our guide Tommy. The tour was one of the best days of our stay in Vietnam. Booking and communication was easy. Tommy picked us up on time in a comfortable car, we headed to Ninh Binh, we visited the old capital, climbed the mountain for a beautiful view, biked, had lunch, visited 3 pagodas and ended the day with a trip on the river. Tommy is knowledgeable about his country and makes sure his guests are well taken care of and have a good time. This day tour is one to put on your list and Tommy is the guide to ask for.

Walking the stair to the top of the lady Buda to see the breathtaking views of the city, rice farms, and county side. We went on a day trip to Ninh Binh, guided by Tommy. From the first moment, Tommy was very enthusiastic, helpful and friendly. We saw beautiful things like the ancient capital and had a wonderful day enjoying fantastic nature while bicycling and kayaking. Lunch was also great and the beautiful view was totally worth the 500 steps we had to climb! We highly recommend this trip!
Picked up at the hotel by our tour-guide Thi for a nice smooth busride to the old capital with a great history lesson on how it all went down. Followed by a hike, lunch and a boat tour. Was amazing, tour guide was very helpful, made sure there was no silence with riddles or jokes. Giving funny compliments as well, great English. And most importantly he made sure we had water at all times in the very warm conditions. Overall great experience! Thank you once more Thi!
Tommy thi picked us up from our hotel at 7:30am with a bright smile and bubbly personality! He sure did brighten our morning and especially for my first ever tour over seas it’s was amazing! We couldn’t thank tommy for a fantastic amazing trip today, the laughter and fun times. Always supplies ya with water and kept us hydrated on our trip he keep the tour fun and enjoyable! Surely made the day fun and full of enjoy. 😃☀️
We had a wonderful two day tour with Thao our guide in the Tam Coc Area. First day we had lunch at her house. That was really wonderful. The second day she arranged a taxi to Coc Phung park and was our guide there. Thans for two lovely days!

My boyfriend and I booked this tour for April 22nd and regret wasting our money. First off, when we booked it, the email we received indicated we would be given a local hat. But after asking our guide, she stated there is no such thing. To be fair, shortly after she came to us with two hats and said she spoke to management and they agreed to give us the local hats. I thought that was strange, the fact that it was mentioned in the confirmation email but it was only given to us after I had brought it to their attention. First we visited Hoa Lu temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties, which frankly was not worth the visit. It was a brief visit, overcrowded (which I know they have no control over) and there was not much to see. Following this we had lunch. At 1130 am. When we arrived at the local restaurant that the itinerary states “enjoy special food”, most of the food was not set up. Most of our tour was not even hungry at this point. The food that was eventually served was awful. It was buffet style and our entire tour group was not impressed. Even now, thinking about the food makes me feel nauseous. The itinerary also stated we would learn how to make Vietnamese cuisine – there was no such thing. Following this, we did a boat tour from Tam Coc Boat Tours. This was great (minus being pressured to tip more by our rower as well as to purchase her beer and snacks by the boats that come up to you to sell things). Following this, we were to bike around Tam Coc – I was really looking forward to this as it looked beautiful in the pictures. The bike selection was awful – most of the tires were flat. Our tour guide and group actually LEFT US as we were still trying to find a functioning bike. I would find one and discover the tire was flat or the seat was broken. My boyfriend eventually found one that had a pedal missing and the seat was broken and kept moving around as he rode it for the next 40 minutes. We could not even enjoy the scenic views as we were stranded and trying to bike fast to catch up to the group. I was NOT impressed and notified the tour guide of this – it was clear she did not care and did not offer any sort of apology. The last stop was Mua Cave – which was stunning but it was insanely overcrowded at the top and after the day we had, we were just done and didn’t enjoy it to the degree we wanted to.
Long bus hrs but a great tour...our guides English was not overly good but this was adequate enough...the boat ride was amazing

Wir sind leider am Morgen in den falschen Bus gestiegen. Aufgrund des super Engagement der Mitarbeiter hat sich aber alles ohne Probleme geklärt. Es war wirklich ganz große Kunst. Die Bootsfahrt war wirklich beeindruckend und witzig zu sehen wie die Kanus mit den Füßen gerudert werden. Die Fahrradtour durch die Dörfer war ein kurzer Trip zu den Tempeln (für jemanden den es interessiert sicher nett) die Tour kurz durch die Landschaft war dann ganz schön. Wir haben anderes erwartet. Das Essen (Kantine mit zig anderen Gruppen) war bereits kalt und auch keine spezielle orttypische... Die Bootstour war sehr interessant und schön aber nicht so lang wie angegeben. ABER absolut ausreichend. Die Tour wäre 3 Sterne wert. Der Einsatz des Personals holt noch einen Stern aufgrund unseres Fehlers am Morgen

An incredibly beautiful view of nature caves using bamboo boats in Trung An / Tam Coc accompanied by an old boatman who is very strong and friendly. A delicious lunch at a restaurant in Ninh Binh and a pleasant trip accompanied by a beautiful, very friendly tour guide and a professional limousine driver. A very enjoyable tour experience.

Especially the boating was beautiful. Cycling wasn't that big a deal, but the climb up the stairs was definitely worth it.
