Ninh Binh Private Day Tour From Hanoi – Customize Your Itinerary

We had the best day with Duke! He was so fun and incredibly knowledgeable about the history and places we visited. Duke was professional while also sharing some very funny stories about his life and Vietnamese culture! We loved all the activities in Ninh Binh. My personal favorites were hiking up to the Dancing Dragon viewpoint, seeing the lotus flowers, and enjoying the boat ride and bike ride! Lunch was delicious, especially the banana flower salad. I couldn’t recommend spending a day exploring with Duke more highly! We had an amazing time!

Duke was the absolutely the best, this was the cherry on top of the cake. We laughed from the moment we met him to the moment he dropped us off. His English is perfect and his story even better. The tour was spectacular, we saw and experienced the best of Ninh Binh. We already planing on coming back. I recommend 100%

Overall we had a great day in Ninh Binh seeing all the sights we wanted to. Our guide was Duke, he was informative and helpful along the way although we were disappointed he didn’t come with us up dragon mountain like other guides seemed to, and instead we had to ask for photos from other tourists. He didn’t seem overly enthusiastic and spent a lot of time on his phone. We didn’t get any “local” tips or time to look in any shops. We were expecting a full 12 hour day but we left Hanoi at 7am and were back by 4.30pm. The driver was average, a heavy smoker which made the inside of the car smell and also didn’t slow down over all the bumps on the motorway which was uncomfortable.

We had an incredible experience exploring Ninh Binh with Hue! He arrived right on time and picked us up directly from our hotel lobby before taking us to Ninh Binh. He accompanied us on the hike up Mua Cave and joined us for a scenic cycle around the area, where we enjoyed some absolutely breathtaking views. Hue was friendly, talkative, polite, and incredibly helpful throughout the day. He also took some amazing family photos that we’ll treasure forever! He offered great recommendations and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Highly recommend Hue to anyone looking for a fantastic experience in Ninh Binh!

I would encourage anyone considering booking a tour with this operator to carefully review the details before making a decision. We booked a group tour through our hotel in Hanoi, and this person was the tour guide who accompanied us throughout the trip. At the end of the tour, he promoted his own tour business and shared a Tripadvisor QR code with us, asking us to leave a review. However, after scanning the QR code and checking the listing, we noticed a discrepancy. Although we had participated in a group tour, the QR code directed us to a Tripadvisor listing advertising a private tour. We found this situation misleading and concerning, as the advertised service did not match the actual experience we had received. We believe that reviews should accurately reflect the services customers have experienced, and that businesses should be transparent when requesting feedback. We sincerely hope Tripadvisor will look into this matter and take appropriate action if any misleading practices are identified. As travellers and customers, we believe transparency, honesty, and accurate representation of services are essential when choosing and booking tours.

We had a great experience on our tour. Our guide Eden was very informative and helpful. He made everything very easy for us and even got us our own private boat (just my mom and I) for the Trang An boat ride. Ninh Binh was absolutely gorgeous. It was the highlight of our trip, would highly recommend this tour and our guide Eden.

Our guide was duke ( Duc Le) and we had a fantastic time with him. He was very knowledgeable about Vietnamese history and culture and he told us the story of the Buffalo King during the trip to Ninh Binh. We are vegetarians and Duke took special care to ensure that got food as per our preference. We visited the Bai Dinh Pagoda, Temple of Flying dragon, bicycle tour of the village, Sampan ride to the Mia caves and a trip to the Bamboo fibre factory!. We wanted to be dropped back in Hanoi at the Night Market and Duke even showed us a hidden gem ( Aries Rooftop Cafe) to enjoy the amazing view of the lake and sip the iconic egg coffee!. Overall a full day of excitement, fun and interesting conversations. Highly recommended

Our guide was Hieu, who was simply amazing. The entire day was at our pace. He knew how to structure the day to avoid the large bus tours. He also got to know us and quickly adjusted to make the tour very personal. At the end of the day we had become friends. As a bonus, he is an amazing photographer. The driver was also amazing. One of the best guided tours I’ve ever been on no question! I don’t leave reviews often but this experience was something special. We told our guide Hieu ahead of time I was planning to propose to my now Fiance and he pulled out all the stops! He took extra time for pictures of our group and was super friendly. We did private tour and it was way more laid back and would recommend going that route. We didn’t feel rushed and had an excellent lunch that sampled multiple local dishes. Highly recommend doing the motor bikes. My Fiance and her sister were not used to motorbikes so he took us on the easiest pathways and everyone felt at ease and had a blast. We also showed us a different boat trip that was not Tam Coc and Trang A but waaaayy better because it was quiet, no wait, and better caves (2) that we passed. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a guided tour in the area.

We wanted to see landscapes not caves and temples... And our driver took a detour to show us stunning landscapes off the national road once we approached Ninh Binh. Where he selected gorgeous spots for us to enjoy. Then he took us to a leafy outdoor restaurant with a marvelous view of a small lagoon, covered in water lillies. He was helpful, accomodating and extremely professional. Absolutely brilliant day out. Exactly what we had hoped for on our last day in Vietnam.

Ngoc was an amazing tour guide and Nghiem was a terrific driver. The excursion was action packed and perfect for a full day. We have been to 51 countries and done hundreds of excursions, and this one was one of the very best we have ever done. Exotic scenery, an awesome climb to a mountaintop lookout, a fabulous Vietnamese lunch, a 5 km bicycle ride and an hour long boat ride which the gentleman paddled with his feet on the oars the whole way! Unforgettable and a top experience you can experience on an excursion! ❤️

**Fantastic day in Ninh Binh with Hieu!** We had a great day exploring Ninh Binh with Hieu. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and full of jokes! He really listened to what we wanted from our private tour and adjusted the itinerary perfectly to suit us. One of the highlights was an unexpected stop at the Golden Lake Pagoda. Not another tourist in sight and it was simply stunning! Hieu also took plenty of photos for us along the way and lunch was delicious. Such a great day with a fantastic guide. An amazing experience you'll never regret here

It was the perfect day trip! Eden was very knowledgeable and friendly and the tour was well paced. We had time to visit all of the important spots in Ninh Binh, all in a quick day trip. We saw Mua Caves, Bich Dinh, rode bikes and took a river boat ride. Lunch was amazing too, not too heavy for a hot day.

Whole trip was very comfortable. Eden our guide helped us and made sure everything was looked after.

Smooth coordination, pickup, and travel between destinations in Ninh Binh. Very professional and courteous tour guide Huy and driver Nghiem providing excellent insight into the beautiful region. Both were very accommodating when we had to change the itinerary (due to weather changes). Kept the car AC on for comfort and kept replenishing us with more bottled water. Made multiple restroom stops during the trip too. Great trip and lots of fun! Highly recommend.
