We loved our tour. Tuna our guide picked us up on time, was informative , friendly, kind and fun! We went on the Ninh Binh full day tour, which had lots of activities, like a scooter ride, a boat ride, a pagoda, climbing Lion Dragon mountain, and more. The lunch was delicious and our driver was very nice. I’d recommend the tour!

Long day, but well worth it. The scenery was incredible. There were so many activities, a hike, a boat and a motorcycle. Also lunch was included, and it was the best food I’ve eaten in Hanoi. Our guide was Louis and the driver Mr H, Louis was very friendly and he took the time to encourage me during the hike (even brought a fan to cool me down, the hike is tough in the heat). From start to finish the tour was brilliant and Louis certainly brought the enthusiasm and knowledge along with humour ! Very enjoyable day.

Our guide, Tim, was excellent. Just know that there are sooooooo many tourists in these spots. The number of tourists takes away from the beauty of the sites.

One of our best trips for sure. Our guide, Hiu, was fab. - very knowledgeable and everything delivered with great humour. Shame about his choice of Premier League football team! The trip included a short (and fairly steep) climb to a look out point, rowing boat trip on the river, local food lunch and scooter ride around the local area.

Ninh Binh is an experience you shouldn’t miss when visiting Hanoi/Vietnam. Our guide, Louis, and our driver, Ha, were both absolutely wonderful. The trip is packed with a full day of activities: you’ll climb 468 steps to take in stunning views of rice paddies, with a Buddha statue and a dragon statue waiting at the top—be prepared for a bit of a workout! This is followed by a peaceful, picturesque boat ride, a delicious lunch, and a motorbike ride through the valley. You definitely won’t want to miss this. Our guide and driver truly made this trip an unforgettable experience.

Louis was a fantastic guide; he kept the atmosphere engaging throughout the trip and shared valuable insights into Vietnamese history. The pickup process was smooth, the bus was very comfortable, the food was varied and delicious, and we were even provided with complimentary water. Overall, it was a truly wonderful experience! :)

We did the Early Bird Ninh Binh tour with Hanoi Backstreet Tours. This is one of the best day tours we ever took. There was so much variety throughout the day and the scenery was amazing. In particular the boat trip was so relaxing after the 500 step climb up the mountain! Our guide Tuna was exceptional...very friendly and knowledgeable...5 star!!

Whilst visiting the various sites, Hiu shared some interesting facts and insights into the culture and surrounds which really made the trip something more than just a standard sightseeing tour. A great balance of activities through the day too.

The tour was great! We got picked up pretty early to escape Hanoi traffic, which was such a good idea from An the tour guide and Anh the driver. An took his time explaining everything well and showing us around. He also treated us with great care all day long sharing interesting local history, making sure everyone was comfortable, and keeping the pace relaxed and fun. The sights in Ninh Binh were stunning, and having such a friendly and knowledgeable team made the whole day stress-free. Huge thank you to A the tour guide and Anh the driver for a wonderful trip!. This was a well planned trip that covered many activities. I would visit again Ninh Ninh on vacation again!

We had done another tour with this company a couple of days before through TripAdvisor, so we already knew they were good. But our tour guide Oggy went above and beyond helping us climb the 400 steps, giving us tips to take good photos and being our photographer as well. The Tam Coc canoe trip was gorgeous! We had history lessons throughout the tour, which made things more interesting (again thanks to Oggy). Highly recommend!

Hiu, our guide was great from the beginning. Full of good information and had an awesome personality. We thoroughly enjoyed all the activities: hiking, boating through the Tam Coc caves, lunch, and the cool jeep ride through the countryside. Visiting Hanoi (and Vietnam) for 2.5 days and booked this tour for my first full day. Wasn’t sure if I’d regret not spending the time in Hanoi and enjoying all of the city, but this was absolutely worth it. Early wake up time was not a problem and I was able to sleep a bit during the drive. Was a great mix of scenery, history, culture, and getting to see/do things I otherwise would not have on my own. Hui was a wonderful tour guide and made the experience a joy - super knowledge funny and very helpful. If you’re debating doing this tour vs another or none at all, I can’t suggest this one enough (Vespa) and I truly spent hours before booking going between various options for similar tours. More than worth the cost and time.
