07h30 - 8h00: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter for transfer to Ninh Binh. 09h15: You will have a short break of 15 - 20 minutes to stretch your legs, use the facilities or have a quick snack.
10h30: Visiting Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from years 968 to 1010. Then you will visit the Temple of Dinh King and Le King to learn more about Vietnamese history under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties.
11h15 - 11h45: It’s time to join our 30 minutes cycling activity to discover the life of the local people. Or stay behind and either relax in the restaurant for sightseeing and capture the views around lake, waterfall and valleys. 12h00-12h45: You will have a lunch with local specialties in the private area of our Trang An Heritage Garden. The vegetarian option is also available.
13h15 - 13h30: Tam Coc, known as “Halong Bay on the land”, where you will spend 1.5 hours on the boat to explore this area. On this excursion down the Ngo Dong River, you will pass through the beautiful paddy fields, limestone karst formation, and a stunning cave system including Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba caves for a unique experience.
15h30: We continue to visit Mua Cave and climb 500 steps to reach the peak of Ngoa Long Mountain, overlooking the amazing view of the city and Tam Coc below.
16h30 - 17h00: Transfer back to Hanoi. 19h00 - 19h30: Drop you off at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter
We had a great time at the Full Day tour to Ninh Binh! Loi is an amazing guide!! The Mua Cave hike and Ninh Binh boat rides were spectacular. Lovely experience on a beautiful day filled with sunlight & intermittent clouds. We were group of 20-30 people but it didn’t feel like a big group as the day went on. This is the best way to cover Ninh Binh and Mua Cave in a single day. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide Loi was quite a good one. He was friendly, humorous and informative. He shared with us the history of Vietnam, and gave us pointers on places to visit while we are here. He made sure the group stayed together and took pictures and reels which he shared with us. What a wonderful thing to do! A big thanks to Loi 🙏🏽

Our tour guide Linh was great (super funny & didn’t bombard you with too much information. Overall if you’re looking for an amazing experience it is a must to book! You won’t regret it - the views and entire experience was incredible. We recommend doing the private small group tour as you get a more comfortable experience.

It was a long day, but it was worth it. We got to see incredible scenery, and our guide was funny and informative. Luckily the weather was nice so day so we could do the small bike ride and the 500 steps at the end. The buffet lunch was amazing, including optional pho.

I did the Ninh Bình tour with buffet and limousine with some friends, and we had a lovely time overall. The scenery is stunning, and the limousine ride was comfortable. Unfortunately, our tour guide was the weak point. He didn’t explain the history of Ninh Bình in any real depth, and what he did say was hard to follow and disorganized. He never connected the story of Hoa Lư temple, Tam Cốc, and Mua Caves, so the stops felt like separate sightseeing spots rather than one story. I came hoping to learn more about the region, and I left without that. The bikes provided were also poorly maintained. Some of the brakes weren’t working properly, which is a real safety concern. Please inspect them regularly. Lunch was just okay, nothing special, though the candies were a nice touch. The tour has a lot of potential, since the places are wonderful.
We had a wonderful time on this tour with our guide Tom. He was very attentive and had good explanations. The bike ride was beautiful and the buffet had great food. It was a very hot day so the hike up the mountain was a bit tough.
This was a wonderful day trip. Minh was very knowledgeable and attentive. The pace of the itinerary was perfect. Not rushed. We were given cold water bottles throughout the day and a sweet treat after the climb. We were the only tour group provided with a conical hat and cushion for the boat ride. Highly recommend. The small group tour is totally worthwhile.

Sophia was a wonderful guide. She is very knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor. I learned a lot about the history and culture of Vietnam on the tour. She also made sure to take pictures of all of us at all key locations.
Had an absolutely great day out with Linh today. Beautiful scenery, good activities and food all with a very knowledgeable and funny guide. Dragon Hill was a tough climb, especially at the end of the day, but well worth it for the view. And the boat ride was a personal highlight.
We had the BEST time in Ninh Binh! The bike ride, boat ride and hike were incredibly scenic and exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Hai Dang, was incredible! He was so full of knowledge, and was really passionate about sharing his love for his country! We couldn’t have picked a better tour and we couldn’t have found a better tour guide! We will be recommending this tour to everyone we know!

An amazing day exploring Ninh Binh. We never felt rushed and had ample time to explore all the tour stops. Linh was an amazing tour guide and you will be so lucky to have her. All in all, a nice day trip from Hanoi.
DUC was amazing and time is valuable regarding this tour. We all had an amazing day. Learnt allot and was so peaceful/amazing/luxurious. Totally recommended. I would purchase sunscreen before the trip is all I would add.
The guide Mike was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.. the other 8 members of the tour were a group of lifelong friends, but Mike and they made me feel completely like one of the group. The most memorable part of the day was our boat trip. The sheer mountains were beautiful and going under them through the caves was extremely fun. The bike riding was also very fun. People should just be aware that this is a very popular route and so there were literally more than a thousand rowboats doing the circuit. But for all that, it was orderly and remarkably quiet which really enabled one to enjoy the beauty.

The guide was really good. We couldn’t reach the pick up in time. Duc (David) still managed to pick us up and we spent a great day.
We got picked up in a nice luxury bus. We then went to Ninh Binh where we first rode bikes for 2 km. Stopped at a temple in the ancient capital and then had a buffet lunch. After we went to ride a 1 hour boat ride on the river through the caves and mountains. We finished things up by going on a hike up one of the mountains. Lots of movement and lots of opportunities for neat experiences! Our tour guide Hai Dang was very helpful and informative!
Ninh Binh is a must see. Unfortunately, we happened to be there when the weather wasn’t the best. Despite that, it was an incredible experience. Our guide, Will, was also one of the reasons that made this experience great. On the other hand, the food was the only letdown. Overall, expect great views, fun experiences, and a great guide!
We did this tour on our last day in Vietnam and it was an awesome way to end our trip! Linh was our tour guide and she was so funny and helpful throughout the day. Highly recommend if you’re staying in Hanoi!

I love the boat tour and the 500 stairs to the top of the mountain. The ancient temple was just ok, Tony explain very well the history of the King and why they move the temple. Good history and not too long. The extra tip to the boat driver should be include in the price. The van was clean and great temperature. Tony was a great guide

This is a great day trip from Hanoi. Our tour manager, David/Duc, was a good communicator before the trip and during. Learning about the country and culture is always interesting. We really appreciated the options if we didn't want to participate in an activity such as the biking and climbing. It was very hot and humid when we were there but most people participated in the activities. The boat trip was the best! Definitely unmissable. We highly recommend this trip, especially if you have David.
