Ninh Binh Full Day Tour With Hoa Lu, Tam Coc And Mua Cave

A long day but well worth it. Lots of fun. The rowers stop to sell you embroidered pictures, there are also people taking photos of you on the trip. The rowers even though you have bought a picture ask for tips. The photographer track you down, not to sell you one photo but seven. Our tour guide Lin was absolutely fantastic, her sense of humour and her spoken English was fantastic. She really made the trip, absolutely lovely lady.

Booked Ninh Binh day tour for 6 people (2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 elderly parents) through Halong Dolphin Travel. The company is very detailed. Making sure we’re kept upto date on pick up time and location via WhatsApp. Hank (tour guy) and Chung (driver) were so nice. Our hotel is located close to Old Quarter. Not a pick up point but they brought their shuttle bus to the front of our hotel to pick up my elderly parents (and the rest of us). Hank and Chung took care of my family especially my parents who have mobility issues. Hank was so funny and took care of locals who tried to sell souvenirs to us. Explained the history and backgrounds of each place. The buffet was great inside an air conditioned private room). Lots of food to choose from. The shuttle bus is very clean and modern. Great service. 5 stars

It was worth every dollar. Our guide NAM was a book of knowledge, spoke english well and had a great sence of humor. We were told in afvance what the next attraction will be and how long it will take. Lunch was very tasty and so much to choose from the buffet. We dis artive back later than planned but that was only because of weekend traffic.

This is a great trip to a beautiful part of the world. There's interesting history at the site of the old capital, a scenic boat trip with splendid views, a lovely leisurely cycle past rice paddies, and finally the scramble up to Mua Cave and magnificent views. Just be prepared for sausage factory type tourism... you will be among many!

I enjoyed my time. However, it was not much of a tour. Most of the time was spent in silence on a tour bus traveling between destinations. I was hoping for more engagement as we traveled. Even when we reached each site, the guide was more of a coordinator helping us get into locations versus giving us the history and context for each site. I would not recommend this if you’re seeking to learn about Vietnam, but they took us to some lovely sites.

we were not satisfied with the tour. Our pickup was repeatedly delayed by "five minutes" until, eventually, we were picked up an hour (!) after the initially scheduled time, leaving us waiting outside in the cold and rain.  Even after we arrived at the group's meeting point, we waited outside in the cold for 20 minutes while the guide told us "five minutes" every few minutes. When we called, he avoided us, claiming he was "working on the bus and couldn't talk right now" and refused to send us a GPS location, insisting his battery was low. There wasn't enough time at any location, and the tour felt rushed. The guide was rude, impatient, didn't answer questions, and was exceedingly discourteous. Lunch was simply embarrassing, and there wasn't enough time to eat at all for those who wanted to ride bicycles. We didn't get to finish our food or even use the restroom. The entire day was disappointing—a waste of our precious limited time in Vietnam and a waste of money. Even during the brief time we had to ride bicycles, the guide rode closely behind us and kept repeating over and over that we were to meet back at the restaurant at 13:25, which really detracted from the experience. It's incredibly frustrating when a much-anticipated experience falls so short of expectations, especially when traveling with limited time.

It is a nice tour with a nice guide. The experience of the trip and pick is good. Only thing is that while returning our bus has been changed from limosine bus to big bus which felt bit inconvenience. Returning tile also delayed about one hour. Other then this the trip was nicely organised.

Our tour guide Harry was so funny and knowledgable, and a great singer! We loved this tour, was so fantastic although I recommend going to the three caves in spring or summer when the greenery is best- we were so happy either way and got to see some incredible views. Thank you! Food was great with plenty of vegetarian options and everything went smoothly.

2 stars. I've been on tours and this operator was average. Three main reasons: limited value add, poor communication, and horrible food. Limited value add... Very limited information shared about this places you visited. A couple asked a few questions, were told to wait until the end and then questions never answered. I used Wikipedia to learn more. Basically, a disorganized van ride. Poor communication... I've been on dozens of tours. This one had me confused on the pick-up time and location. If you are not in the old quarters then skip this tour. Else you'll be in front of a random hotel, standing for a long time (+30 minutes). Also, the activity section clearly stated that a bike tour was included but that never happened. We ended back in Hanoi hours earlier than expected. Horrible food... I always have low expectations for food. This was well below my expectations. There was goat to my pleasant surprise but everything thing else was really bad. We entered the restaurant followed by group after group. The tour guy had difficult pointing out a table for us. Literally sit, no sit here, for a few minutes. Then got in a buffet line that wrapped around the restaurant (about 20 minutes to make it to the front). Basically, a small group tour but super large group lunch. As the only meal on a 10-12 hour tour they need to do better. Tour guide was nice. But his focus was on logistics... We go here. We go there. But on the bus zero about the places. He only talked about one place outside of the bus for less than five minutes. Bus driver. Was obsessed with Trump. He could not resist sharing this information. I did leave a tip (but more out of that obligation feeling). All the negatives above. So, if you are in the old quarters, and just looking for transportation with some below average food then this really isn't a bad option. The places were nice and lots of great photos. The boat ride is a bit long, the mountain hike is 500 steps but all of that is expected. The tour could be a bit longer at the caves so that you actually see the caves, visit the water pad lilly area, and enjoy a drink after the exercising. I'm trying to provide information about the tour operations as I assume you probably need more information about this operator than the actual places. I was just not a fan of this operator, unfortunately.

Great itinerary love the boat trip and bicycle ride. Climbing the mountain to the top was challenging but fun. Great views from the top. Walking thew the water lilly fields was nice. Liked the buffet lunch. Only thing bus was little to cold and some people in the group were always missing.

Really great trip! Full on day and you get to do and see so much! The food buffet was great and I thought there was a good assortment of food! Tiger Woods was awesome and knew so much about everywhere we went! Overall, a really great, busy day!

Awesome experience with Mr. Ben today with our 1 day trip Ninh Binh, Mr Ben has been truly a good sport and very attractive personality, he kept us occupied with his humor in the bus journey and with history facts on the tour. Made good memories today!

Today was a fabulous experience in Ninh Binh, despite the high river levels, which affected only a small part of our day. Our tour guide was outstanding, especially as we walked and cycled along water logged paths. It was quite an adventure! My highlights were the cycling and hiking, but the day held something for everyone.

I had a fantastic trip to Ninh Binh thanks to our wonderful tour guide. Mr. Ben is very knowledgeable and humorous, making the experience both fun and informative. The itinerary was well-organized, and we saw many beautiful sights. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable trip.

Ninh binh was amazing place , natural wander,, bamboo ride is best .. our guide mr.lee is friendly , good English speaking , helped us through out the trip..

Lee the tour guide has been exceptionally good . I suggest you can always ask for this gentleman. He understands customer perspective and balances well with any kind of situations

Visited Hoa Lu, Trang An and flying dragon mountain. Short Cycling ride to Hoa Lu was a welcome change. Boat ride at Trang An through the small caves was enjoyable. To top it all, Lee made the travel enjoyable with his small jokes and stories.

We have been to Ninh Binh tour with Mr. Lee with my family. The tour was satisfactory, well guided and supported by him. Even during the hot weather he has handled the tour well and in timely manner. We also loved his jolly nature.

Nice tour to Ninh Binh. Transportation was good, comfortable. Our guide Lee and driver was super nice, took a lot of picture for us and very friendly. Food was great and very generous portions. Overall had an Amazing day !!!!!

We went for full day Ninh Binh - Bai Din and Trang An tour. Mr. Lee was very enthusistic and helpful throughout the tour. A big thumbs up to him. He helped in resolving concerns if any. He was well worsed of the hostory of the place that made us understand things better. I highly recommend the tour.

It was a great tour package! Everything was perfectly organized by Mr. Ben. Very interesting stops everywhere. Be ready to have a challenging hiking at the last stop.

A fun day with the entertaining Mr Ben. One of our best tours during our 3 weeks in Vietnam. Ninh Binh is beautiful and we loved the Mua Caves. Don’t forget to tip the Tam Coc boat rowers.

We went to Ninh Binh with family which includes a toddler and had a great time. Mr. Lee our tour leader was extremely great and fun to travel with. Just a perfect trip!! Everything was very well organized from transport, guide and even the food. Ample time was given for you to explore on your own apart from being in a group. Guide was well versed on the history of the place and was very good with handling the people who come from different country and culture!!

The trip was so beautiful and well planned , our tour guide Mr.Lee made us very memorable, he is very warm and funny and made us participate in all the activities. The place is out of the world and is a must visit

It was a wonderful tour with Lee, he guided us very well and we thoroughly enjoyed. How lu temple , Trang an river and Mia cave , everything is really amazing! Good trip

Starting with our guide Mr. Lee, a very energetic young chap. Made sure the trip from start to finish was seamless. Not sure if it was luck or good organisation , we were one of the few groups to reach all three locations early and avoided heavy crowds of similar tourists! Hoa Lu, the place in itself is not much to write home about , but the experience of riding a bike through the rural ranges surrounded by hills was worth it! Tam Coc was beautiful . The bamboo boat ride through the landscape was mesmerising . In my opinion though , the ride was too long and by the end of it we got a little tired just sitting out there exposed to the harsh sun. Mua caves is a must to experience especially if you are into trekking. After a few hundred steps and a few thousand short breaths later, we reached the top of the “lying dragon “ mountain. The views were phenomenal!!!!!! Advise to wear very comfortable walking shoes for this trip.

Mr Ben is a great guide, English is very good and easy to understand l. The views are amazing and the buffet lunch is also great. It was scorching hot when we did the tour so if you are going around April and May make sure you wear comfortable clothes with enough coverage , sunblock, umbrella. The last attractions required getting up a 500 plight of stairs but is completely optional, just prepare for lots and lots of sunshine exposure 😄

We had a day tour in Ninh Binh, exploring Hoa Lu, Tam Coc and Hang Mua with tour guide Lee which was an enriching experience. Exploring Hoa Lu and Tam Coc in Ninh Binh in one day is an absolute pleasure. The natural landscapes are beautiful, while the quiet boat ride through the limestone caves in Tam Coc is truly enjoyable. Lee, our tour guide, was professional, attentive and he was very pleasant. funny . His knowledge of the area and friendly attitude made the journey even more enjoyable. We are happy with the tour yesterday. Bus picking up and drop off us in the hotel at Old Quater on time. The arrangement is good and smooth, the meals is tasteful with so many option that moslem's friendly. Credit ++ to Mr Ben, our tour leader. He's very informative, helpful and bring a lot of joy during the tour. So the tour is so fun and not boring. We are going to Trang An instead of Tam Coc and it's the best activities of this tour. The scenery is amazing.
