The tour was well organised and the area toured is spectacular and well worth a visit. It was made all the more special by our wonderful tour guide, Snow, who was very knowledgeable and provided a delicious lunch at her family home.
Had a really great time - Our host was incredible; and the rapport I was able to build with other guests was so good. The only thing that was hard was the temperature in Ninh Binh when we went, but that's nobody's fault! Remember to bring a hat! Our host gave us recommendations for food and shopping; a brief history lesson while transferring, and even taught us some common Vietnamese phrases! :D

We decided to pay a bit extra for the private tour and it was a really good decision. The organisation and attention to detail was exceptional. We were picked up on time from our hotel by our brilliant driver and driven to Ninh Binh. There, we met our lovely guide for the day, Snow. She was exceptional from start to finish. So knowledgeable and considerate. She was brilliant at taking our photos and looking after us. We started by climbing to the the top of the Mua Caves. It was good doing this first as it wasn’t too hot or busy. Stunning views. We then did a bike ride to the ancient city, Snow was full of insightful information here. The lunch was delicious and so generous. We finally did a 2 hour boat ride of the Trang A grottoes, which was a highlight of our whole trip in Vietnam and we would strongly recommend. It’s worth the drive out of Hanoi. Overall, a fantastic day made special by Snow. Would not hesitate giving it 5*s and recommending to anyone wanting to visit Nimh Binh! Snow was fantastic with the attention to detail and would always take pictures at any opportunity. The trip would not have been the same without her.
The trip turned out to be beyond our expectations. Christine who helped us with booking the tour was also instrumental in arranging ground transport for us. Hanoi Explore travels is highly recommended as they were propt in responding to messages and were always available to help. Also the prices charged by them we reasonable and overall I will not hesitate even for a second to give them a 5 star rating.

The itinerary was well planned, giving us ample time to explore the places and even take some lovely photos! The transfer vehicle between Hanoi and Ninh Binh was very clean and comfortable as well. Thao was lovely and spoke great English. The tour was beautiful and you could tell Thao is really proud of where she lives, and this pride shone through the tour. We saw some great people, learnt some interesting things about Vietnamese culture and overall had a great time.

I have been traveling through Vietnam for little over a week now. During my travels I have done a few tours which all have been mostly good. But this one from Hanoi was especially nice. Thi, our tour guide, picked us up right from our hotel in the private tour bus which was also very nice. It has wifi to help post up your pictures. We did several events from bike, boating, and hiking. I some amazing sites and will take this same tour again upon my return in the future. Thi was really knowledgeable in the capital tour and explained important details on why they moved it to another city. If you have an option when booking your tour request Thi. His English is good.

We started from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, our guide Thi is awesome and have a cute laugh to make every one happy and enjoy the tour together, he taught us about many Vietnamese history and we enjoy boat in Trang an a lot we would not expect any more, love you. See u next year.
Was struggling between ha long Bay and ninh binh because my sister and I have only one day to contribute before we fly to danang. So we decided to choose ninh binh. It was totally worth it for a day trip. Our tour guide Thi was very friendly and funny, also very helpful and informative. We started with Mua cave with really stunning view, but before the nice view you are required to walk up the 600 steps stairs perhaps under the burning sun, so bring a hat and water with u! Next was the bike tour around and then to hoa lu aka ancient capital. Lastly we had a 2 hours boat tour which has magnificent view! I'm totally lost in words, love it so much. Thanks Thi for the fun tour! Would recommend it.
After I realised I had booked our tour for the following MONTH, instead of the following DAY by mistake, the staff went out of their way very late at night to make sure we got on the tour we had wanted the very next morning. Now that is great service! Following on from there, the bus was clean and very comfortable. The driver was an expert, and what can I say about "handsome guy" Hai, our Tour Guide. He was friendly, very knowledgeable about the history and local area, and lots of fun too. We had the most amazing day on the Mua cave/Ninh Binh day tour. Don't miss the bike ride, and make the effort to climb the 500 stairs, the view is worth every huff, puff. I would say to bring something to sit on to protect your toochy for the 2hr boat ride, you will thank me later. 😁 I would recommend to all!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Had a great tour with Thao today. The tour included pagodas, temples, hiking with wonderful Views, tour through rice paddy’s, biking around town and a terrific lunch. She was welcoming and enjoyable and made the tour exactly what we wanted.

Thao welcomed us with a sweet smile. Very friendly and knowledgeable about their history. We’ve enjoyed our tour. A little bit dissapointed because It was raining :(. Didnt manage to do the cycling tour :(. But everything was amazing especially the homecooked food. Beware of the boat tour, rower will ask for a tip. Will even get mad if you didnt give them above 100vd.
We have just finished touring with our fantastic guide Thao Tong sailing through 2 days of action packed beautiful days in Ninh Binh. There are just so many things to see and do and one must have a guide, and a good one at that, to make sure ine covers all the most important sites and activities. But Thao Tong was even more then that. She took care of us like we were family. She kept buying us fruits, enlisting her entire family's help. She even envited us to her home! She is a jewel!!! If you come to Ninh Binh, please seek her out!!!

Tommy Hanoi was given the gift of being the most amazing tour guide and this full day small group tour was not only an exploration of the breathtaking natural wonders that Vietnam has to offer, it includes the beaten path dining, hiking, boating, biking and cultural exposure with the locals and the life they live.
