Ninh Binh Daily Tour: Hoa Lu - Tam Coc Boat Trip And Bike

I really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide and driver were amazing. We departed on time and had a comfortable ride to Ninh Bihn. Jeri was very knowledgeable about the history of Ninh Bihn, Hoa Lu and Mua Cave and made sure we comfortable throughout the tour. The highlights of the tour were rhe bike ride through the village and climbing 500 steps to the top of Mau Cave. Lunch was very good too. I would differently recommend this trip.

Phong is the best guide in the business. Energy unmatched. Great communication, picked up outside our hotel and taken on an adventure in Ninh Binh. Hiked up a hill, took a boat ride, rode bicycles, ate delicious food and learnt lots of history along the way. Everything super organised and no waiting around. Great day! Would highly recommend!!

Vu was absolutely amazing. It's a long all-day tour but completely worth it. Vu gave clear, concise overview and description of what the day would look like in the beginning and each step of the way. He was knowledgeable on history and geography. Water is provided but definitely bring more and hydrate. A small bookbag or crossbody is ideal for sunblock, bug spray, water, phone, etc. Vu is funny and personable giving each person attention. The motorcoach is extremely nice and comfortable. The hiking, biking, boating, pagodas/temples are all incredible. The set lunch was delicious and abundant. Must-do!

The tour was amazing! We were able to see all that Ninh Binh has to offer. Stephen, our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Long bus ride from Hanoi after battling to get out of the congestion. Stopped at an ancient temple in Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh) but it wasn't a patch on anything we'd seen in Thailand. Lunch next which offered a good buffet choice, though none of it was actually hot. Warm at best. Then we went for a short bike ride to see a pagoda. It was nice to be on bikes, even if not for that long. After that we drove to Tam Coc for a sampan ride. I thought this would be the highlight of the day but it was mass tourism in the extreme. Thousands of people doing the same trip at once in hundreds of little rowed boats. Totally crowded. And this is low season! The driver was keen to sell us embroidered pictures which were nice, but double the price they were sold at in the bus parking lot. He also asked repeatedly for a tip. It was interesting to see women working in the rice fields from a very close vantage point. After that it's the 3-hour trip back that you've got to look forward to. WiFi on the bus helps pass the time!

I spent a very unforgettable experience with Aloha and our guide Augustine. He is careful, funny, oriented in offering all what a group could need. I really appreciate his comments about traditions, historical events and also his personal experience.. The different activities were really beautiful: boat, bike, pagoda and temple visits. I enjoy this day, I recommend this agency to spent a beautiful day!

We had a good time with team and Hieu visiting different types of Pagoda and story of them, hiking the mountain with thousands of steps, going through beautiful Tam Coc river by friendly Vietnamese paddling with their foot which is so cool companying with beauty of nature and caves. Fabulous day trip with Fun as our guide. Comfortable transport , wonderful scenery and information . The views were amazing and the woman rowing our boat was a machine 😄. Would recommend 😄

The day was just amazing. We didn't stop seeing beautiful things and having fun. Loan was the BEST guide, sharing so much information about the culture, the religión, the life of Vietnam people. The tour to Ninh Binh was a very nice activity. We visited the ancient capital of Hoa Lu and also the river boat ride through the Trang An landscape. I enjoyed the scenery and the boat ride was memorable. The bus ride was about 2 hours each way. The condition of the bus was clean and the seats were comfortable. Our tour guide Peter was very responsible and helpful. During the trip, he ensured everyone was well taken care of. He even recommended to me some good restaurants in Hanoi.

I had a wonderful day with this tour. Rose is a very skillfull and enthusiastic guide who told a lot of things about Vietnam. She speaks also good English. It was great to see the beautiful mountains by boat and the ancient temple. Ninh Binh is very peaceful! I wouldn't miss it. The bus was very comfortable and the lunch was fine. Overall tour was a fun one, though it could be better if it did not rain! Personally, we find the Tam Coc boat experience was a little too long. Our tour guide, Linn, was humorous and friendly. Recommended, worth the money.

This trip was well planned. Our group was split into smaller numbers at several sites so we had more personal attention from the guide. Also, it was organized according to ability to do more strenous tasks. We enjoyed every aspect from the gentle boat ride with marvelous snapshot opportunities to the bike ride as the last activity. I felt we definitely got our money's worth for a full day of sightseeing and a respite from the traffic and chaos in Hanoi.

We did the tour yesterday with our tour guide Ms.Rose who was amazing from the start. We loved the Mua cave and also the boat ride. Unfortunately me and my wife couldn't do the cycling activity because of an unavoidable reason. Overall the tour was excellent, so did our tour guide Ms.Rose. Highly recommend this tour and tge guide.

We did a trip with Linh and mrs Thuong and it was awesome. We took 500 stairs to the top of a mountain, cycled through idyllic landscape, had awesome food for lunch and ended the day with a boat ride. I highly recommend this tour and the Tourguides.

I booked 1 tour going to Ninh Binh with the company name Aloha. The tour absolutely amazing from the bus, the lunch, activities, especially the tour guide. The bus is clean and comfortable. Lunch is full of option, and I can try the specialty of Ninh Binh also. The itinerary is well organized, with Hoa Lu ancient capital, boat trip and bicycle. And I really want to say thanks so much to our tour guide Thuong, very friendly, welcome and knowledgeable. In the bus she talked a lot of interesting fact about Vietnam, some beautiful traditional custom. She also gave us a lot of information about the history of Vietnam in the past. We had a great day trip with Linh as our guide. She is very knowledgeable about the area and was a great company. The trip was well organised and the bus was comfortable. Our only preference was that the bike ride could have been longer then 30mins.

Loan is by far the best tour guide we experienced in Vietnam. Her english is fluent, and she is very entertaining sharing her stories. We had a great time and will book her again next time we visit. Excellent service, highly recommend.

Had a very nice trip yesterday. Pick up was at the right time. Our tour guide Loan was amazing. She had a lot of energy and was eager to answer questions along the way. We loved that she did an introduction round on the bus. Every traveler got to know each other for a bit which really created a group dynamic and fun conversations the rest of the day. We loved the boat trip and bike ride. Lunch was good but not excellent. Only recommendation is to plan the mountain climb on a cooler moment on the day. Although i'd imagine it is hot and sweaty no matter what time you go up. Would definitely recommend

Tommy (Thi), was our day tour guide. I have nothing bad to say but incredible, genuine and he was also courteous!! Super knowledgeable and made our day trip very pleasurable. Whatever we needed or wanted he was able to accommodate. Everything was what I expected and more. The best part was the bike ride. Enjoyed every minute of it. If anyone was come out to Hanoi, I recommend you ask for Tommy (Thi). Two thumbs up 👍👍😉!!

Me and my partner went on this tour it was brilliant and so worth the money. We had a tour guide called Tommy he was great and had really good English as well as really helpful and funny. He made our day and tour so much more enjoyable and he had really good knowledge of the places we visited so we learnt a lot! I would highly recommend this day trip especially with Tommy as he went above and beyond to look after every person in our group. We went on a boat ride, had a buffet Vietnamese lunch which was lovely visited temples and went on a bike ride! - it is around 2.5 hours from Hanoi but worth doing for the day!!

We were greeted by our very friendly tour guide Tommy from our hotel who took us to Ninh Binh and gave us information on the itinerary and answered any questions we had. Myself and my dad are vegetarian and our needs were completely taken care of thanks to Tommy’s attentiveness. After a fantastic day of climbing temples for stunning views and boating along the river and through caves and then cycling afterwards I would recommend this tour and Tommy to anyone staying in Hanoi and wanting some stunning views of Vietnam.

We only had 2 days in Hanoi. We spent one day exploring Hanoi and We spent a full day on this tour. It was a perfect way to spend the day! We enjoyed great views, great company, and exciting adventures! The food on the tour was really great as well. Ninh Binh is a beautiful place! Our tour guide, Tommy, was very knowledgeable and took great care of us. He made sure we had plenty of breaks and gave us complementary water the whole tour. There was also free WiFi on the bus!

We had a lovely day visiting the Ninh Binh region with our guide Rose and 9 others. We booked the tour via our hotel and the next morning we were picked up in a luxury bus to head off to Ninh Binh. During the ride to our first stop Hoa Lu our guide Rose gave us an introduction to our itinerary as well as Vietnamnese culture/history. Rose and her colleagues were very dedicated to ensure we were all enjoying ourselves. Sometimes it was a bit difficult to follow their story/instructions but it did not affect our experience. We visited a Hoa Lu temple, the Mua Cave with the dragon on the mountain (after climbing 500 steps), together with 4 others we went to the Tam Coc area for lunch, a short bike ride and later a relaxing boat ride. The second group went for a longer boat ride in another area but we found our 1.5 hour boat ride more than enough and it was nice to cycle along the rice fields. The bicycles had seen better days but for ~40 min of biking it was no problem. Near the boat area and along the river there are many locals taking pictures and other vendors trying to sell food and drinks. They can be a bit pushy but usually after saying no a few times they will move along. All in all it was a really nice day and we highly recommend doing a tour with Aloha Vietnam.

We had an amazing family day out to Ninh Binh with a really friendly and knowledgable tour guide called Loan. Her English was excellent and really made sure that everybody was having a great time. Stunning scenery, great buffet lunch and fun cycle ride in the rain! Well, it is the monsoon season after all. We would highly recommend this to anyone. (Our kids were 14 and 10)

It starts when Loan kindly picks you up at your hotel and ends with this scenery... Great food, great guide and stunning nature.

My girlfriend and I just finished a daily tour with Thao. We both had an amazing time with such a friendly tour guide. She was very friendly, enthusiastic and approachable throughout the whole day. We really enjoyed the views from atop the lying dragon mountain and the boat ride along the Tam Coc river. There was two delicious meals during the tour. We will be recommending the Ninth Binh tour to all our friends who are visiting Hanoi. We just wanna say one final thank you to Thao for such a great day. The Sri Lankan girl and Irish guy.
