The best trip ever. This is a tour that should not be missed! Enjoyed the buffet lunch with great spread, Trang An 1 hour boat ride was spectacular and it’s really hard work for the boatman to paddle manually. we helped along as well. The climbing up to see the lying dragon was very exhausting but worth the view.Highly recommended

I had an incredible experience on my recent trip to Tam Coc! Our guide was fantastic, sharing fascinating historical insights and ensuring everyone understood everything clearly. The well-organized tour started with an early bus arrival and a pleasant rest stop with some unique items-like mini owl statues and dried mango in translucent packaging-that you can’t find in Hanoi or Sapa, so l made sure to grab a few We explored Hoa Lu, enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch, and then went on a peaceful boat ride through Tam Coc, despite high water levels. The highlight was the scenery was breathtaking and distinctly different from Ha Long Bay. Overall, it was a perfect mix of history, nature, and great company!
Our guide was fantastic, sharing a wealth of intriguing historical facts while keeping the group entertained with his humor. The tour was well-organized, featuring a comfortable bus and an excellent buffet lunch with plenty of options; however, drinks at the restaurant were not included. While the weather was quite hot at 35 degrees, and I experienced some back pain from sitting for an extended period, I thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking views throughout the journey. The boat ride was delightful and surprisingly serene. I left the tour feeling very happy and satisfied with the overall experience. Our guide, was incredibly friendly and helpful, while our driver maintained a professional demeanor, making the ride feel smooth and enjoyable. The actual locations we visited were stunning. We got to cycle and boat through the beautiful, green landscape of Tam Coc. Although we couldn’t explore all the caves due to high water levels, it didn’t detract from the experience. Although we couldn’t explore all the caves because of the high water levels, it didn’t dampen my spirits.
The day trip was nicely organised by Harry’s company. Comfortable bus with good English guide made our tour truly memorable. We covered three destinations Hoa Lu, Mua Caves and Tam Coc, all destinations were serene and way too beautiful. Lunch buffet was good as well, decent vegetarian options. All in all will highly recommend their service for a memorable day tour of Ninh Binh.
A fabulous day full of awesome activities. Ninh-Binh Tour just cannot be given a miss if you're travelling to Hanoi. I have never experienced a boat-ride as wonderful and adventurous as the Tom Cac one. The natural beauty of the surroundings, the thrill of sailing through the limestone caves with their fascinating stalactites, the dextrous rowing by the boatmen ( with their feet!!!!) all made for an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Mr Duc, made our trip to Dinh King temple very interesting by providing its historical background. Mr Duc is an extremely experienced guide who was up to any challenge that cropped up during the tour. Our last stop was 'The Three Pagodas'. Oh my goodness, nothing could have prepared for the absolutely stunning artistry of the interiors!!! And to top it all, we were privileged to view the Pagodas in the background of the glorious setting Sun. The whole experience (topped with my religious fervour for Buddha) was spellbinding. Didn't want to leave the place.
I could say one of the must do thing in Vietnam, especially if you enjoy the outdoor, little bit hike , nature and get in touch with mother of earth. Harry has been very helping long since before our departure to Hanoi. Has made our trip went easy and flexible. The tour guide on the spot were also remarkable and fun to be with. The whole tour was fully prepared with nice ambience and people to be with. Definitely was a great day for us!
Lovely day trip! The hike was a bit tough but very doable. The river tour was a definite highlight. Duc was a phenomenal tour guide!
Tam Coc is amazing. The sampan boats, biking were awesome. Mind blowing scenery and views. Hoa Lu was interesting and an ok visit . You could easily spend an entire day there. Overall would definitely recommend. **Maybe ask your guide to hurry along the Hoa Lu visit and spend more time at the other locations.**
It was so convenient. The pick up and drop were right at our hotel. Bus was comfortable. Well paced out. All good and travel arrangements were taken care of. The guide was enthusiastic and explained everything very well. Very much worth it
One of the best experiences we've had in Vietnam! The Tam Coc cruise was breathtaking and our guide Duc was really informative and patient. He even gave us extra time to relax since it was a very hot day. Introduced us to great food at the buffet and made our experience better!
Unfortunately, this trip was memorable for the wrong reasons. Given the outdoor nature of the activities, the weather made the tour of the ancient temple uncomfortable, the bike ride undoable, and the boat trip which should have been unforgettable, disappointing. Duc was a lovely guide in unfortunate circumstances. We returned to Hà Nội deflated.
Quan, our guide, was excellent. His English is good and he was very informative. I enjoyed the tour, especially the bike ride and boat tour. I would do this tour again. highly recommended
Everything went smooth and easy and exactly as per plan. From the booking to picking up the other passengers in our group, to the very comfortable car and exact schedule. Loch, our guide, was fantastic and gave us a lot of great information and history. Very good. The picked locations were amazing and very worth going and the lunch was great, too. This was an unforgettable trip! Thanks for the great service.
That was an extratour when I book tour to HN. It takes about 2 hours to go from Hanoi to Ninh Binh. The natural scenery here is extremely beautiful and peaceful with cool and fresh air. I am very interested in goat meat, specialty of ninh Binh. The tour guide told me the historical story about Ninh Binh. This trip was so relaxed and awesome
We booked this tour late the night before. The agent did not know we were coming so did not pick us up. We waited 1 hour 15 outside our hotel then had to get a grab taxi to the opera house to meet the bus. The river cruise was very scenic but we queued up for 1 and a half hours to buy tickets. It was very crowded as it was a Sunday. Boarding the boat was a crowded and hairy experience. One of our group fell in the water and another group accidentally went on the wrong cruise. I don’t recommend taking this tour at the weekend. We got back to Hanoi after 9pm.
The boat ride was very interesting. The buffet didn’t cater to westerners. The temple site was very beautiful and calming
Brilliant tour, attentive helpful and kind guide. Duc did a fantastic job. Thank you very much. 😊 He was thoughtful of my family who are a little less able.
Our guide was Peter. He was awesome. Hoa Lu is an interesting place with a nice story to it. I love how we rode the bicycle through the streets into the splendid mountainous view. In Tam Coc, we love how effortlessly the boat was steered by the locals using their legs. The trip was enjoyable, with nice natural sceneries and going through 3 caves :) The lunch was great too. Highly recommended this tour when you have short time in Hanoi city.
Excellent tour with a knowledgeable and garrulous guide. He kept things moving and on schedule while entertaining us and giving flexibility. Lunch was superb with great arrangement for those with dietary restrictions. Fantastic; 10/5
6 years ago I had a tour to Ninh Binh but it did not impress me too much. However, this trip made me satisfied and I want to say thank to our guide, MR. Hung. He was professional and imformative. We visited limestone mountain passing riverside rice paddies. Buffet lunch was included and delicious.
The tour was really great which is cultural and ecological. It was a good place for sightseeing and enjoy. The most favorite part of this trip was the cyleling by the rice fields. The field was green and picturesque, and you would see people lìe along the bike path where you can take pics. Buffet lunch was amazing. A great excursion at an affordable price. The boating experience was also great and worth it. The guide is also helpful and very informative. The ride was lengthy but it was worth the while as the air was fresh and cold, and the view was serene and perfect. One of the best day trips we have done. High recomended
We paid 44$ each for a tour with an english guide but we found a person who doesn’t speak enough english to do the tour. On the other hand he told us info that everyone already know searching on internet, not very interesting. We felt cheated when the bus stopped in the highway for a break. Instead of a rest-station to buy some food or go to restroom as we did in the other tours, we visited a bamboo shop. There, they locked us in a room around 20 minutes and a girl, who spoke in Vietnamese, tried to sell us many clothes of bamboo. All of us were very frustrated there. When we arrived to tam Coc, we met other Spanish people. They told us that they had paid the same price than us for the tour in spite of not making it from Hanoi. Add to that, the tour taxi that took them from their hotel to the meeting point (2km distance in total) asked them for 12$ more. They were arguing with the guide about the price of the taxi and suddenly the guide closed the van door violently and move to copilot seat. He didn’t want to know anything about the complain of that group people. That was unacceptable. For all of that, we definitely don’t recommend the tour.
Great trip and host. Improvements, for me the food was pretty bland and booking was over complicated, I had to confirm 3 times where I wanted to be picked up and what time.
This was a fun day trip from Hanoi to an area we might not have otherwise gotten to. I did this tour with a 2 childhood friends and we all had varied opinions on the different activities, for example I personally thought the traditional boat ride went on too long but enjoyed the bike ride. The lunch wasn’t great but we met some nice people during it. I would probably tour a 4 if not for our tour guide (Eric, we think) who was very charismatic and most importantly came to get me when I got lost in the old quarter prior to pickup. I was very worried, not all tour guides would do that for me, and it was much appreciated. Overall a great way to spend a day in northern Vietnam.
Amazing experience! Beautiful place, amazing attention by the team, and great food with many vegan options available!
Hello! I love mountains very much. Vietnamese mountains are beautiful! I liked it very much! The tour also includes a delicious lunch! The excursion is very interesting! Was with friends. They liked it too! So I recommend.
I felt the ancient capital in a special way: sailing on Ngo Dong river. It's cool and unique. Driver picked me up at the hotel in Ha Noi old town, friendly and supportive
A colorful landscape picture. The poetic Ngo Dong river, Majestic limestone mountains. we felt it when we sailed on the river. Experience the water below. So gently. Give yourself these experience.
The tour convinced us with the reasonable, appropriate schedule and the information the provided. Tour guide communicate well, knowledgeable about history. The boat ride is quite good.
The scenery, sights in the tour schedule are wonderful. Feel it by boat ride on the river. The lightly feel.a delicious lunch, featuring a variety of local dishes.
We had a great time when travel to Hoa Lu& Tam Coc. Our guide was very kind and helpful, telling us lot of useful information and keeping us entertained en route. Buffet lunch quite food. All in all, it was a really great experience Ninh Binh was really an amazing landscape to explore. Highly recommended.
We're got a great time all day long with Max, my professional tour guide. Who spoke very good English and also taiwanese He took care of all tour meters , shown us the most understanding of those attractive destinations, he would absolutely recommended by our group. Thanks you sm!
Awesome weather which fits very much for the boat trip and interesting storier of its. The ancient village which i for got the name where have very yummy goat meat that I’ve never tried before. We did the cycling along the paddy fields very smooth and relax. Highly recommend this tour!!
Very far removed from the deluxe reference. The organisation was chaotic, the bike ride shambolic. Don't know where the photograph is from but didn't see it on this trip.
Even if overrun with tourists creating that Disneyland, “curated” feeling, the Tour guides do a good job of presenting historical narratives with the skill of timelessness and putting us at ease. I don’t typically do these shuffled around tours, but I was pleasantly surprised with the level of activity involved (bike ride was a bit anti-climatic but still nice to get the blood flowing). The boat ride at the end was definitely the highlight. I’m a pretty active guy and enjoyed the option of being able to help out with the paddling. It would have been neat to know a little more about the area we were paddling. I could tell there was some sort of agriculture process, but it was either the off-season, or the productions were completely abandoned, maybe due to tourism? Beautiful area, but rapidly becoming developed, again most likely because of all the money tourism is bringing in. Not necessarily a bad thing, just be prepared for it. Really cool to visit the ancient capital and learn about some of the older history of when Vietnam was first unified as a nation pre-European colonialism and post Chinese imperialism. Tour guides were willing to engage in conversation. Very friendly and outgoing. I recommend!
Following our river boat ride through stunning caves we hopped on bicycles to do a bit of exploring. Passing by cows and fields we ended up at a pagoda built into a mountain with stunning views of the country side. Was a comfortable ride to and from Hanoi and a delicious lunch. Highly recommended. Incredible scenery.
Traveling to Ninh Binh (VietNam) is wonderful opprtunity to enjoy the true beauty of nature. It's simple stunning. The food is very Delicious specialy goat meat. My tour guide is friendly and enthusiasm. Next time I will definitely visit again. The trip is worth it.
I had an opportunity to see the places, ride a bike in the countryside, see the first capital of Hanoi and took a one hour boat ride in one of the canals . Amazing day!
The tour boats are driven primarily, ladies. There're quite some temples in Tam Coc. Our guide made the whole experience very exciting and comfortable for us, especially during the bike ride and hike. I would tour guide and the company’s tours to anyone wanting to have the full experience of Ninh Binh in Vietnam.
even though half of the time was only to get the destination with unnecessary detour to the souvenir shop, but overall the trip was good, our trip guidance was helpful and informative, good job for him!
A full day hao lu tam coc tour was a full day of fun. Our tour guide, Quan was very friendly, always smile, and really know the local area and the history. Love the fascinating history about the first king and second king of Vietnam. The buffet lunch was delicious with many dishes to choose. The boat ride along the Tam Coc river was great with beautiful scenery.I would recommend this tour for everyone.
Great tour guide with a good sense of humor, he was excellent - very knowledgeable, and helpful. I believe this is the best tour for a TamCoc riverboat. Boat portion into Tam Coc was really nice and relaxing. The lunch had many choices of different foods, we all found it very good.
We took this trip last month and enjoyed it.our guide was excellent.friendly and helpful. They pick up us on time from our hotel in old quarter. The buffet lunch was delicious with multi choice foods.enjoyed the boat ride as well as bicycling in the village .Thanks Quạn guide for a great day . recommended this tour for my friends.
This trip is for the ones that enjoy nature and wish to get away from the busy Hanoi routine. This is a 12hrs day trip - 8am to 8pm. A good part of which is spent in inside the bus. My partner and I travel to Ninh Binh on April 25th. It was an exceptionally hot day. But despite the weather we enjoyed this tour. The tour guide will pick you up at around 8.15AM along with other 15 or so tourists. This is not a small and private group. The bus is not super comfortable, but is also not dreadful. Our guide Nam (apologies if the spelling is incorrect) was very nice, helpful and had a positive attitude. He tried his best to transfer some knowledge about the area and the history. However if English is not your first language you will need to pay extra attention to what is said because his accent is strong. We visited two temples, but one was probably enough. There isn't a lot of English signs explaining the history of the place. If your fitness level is reasonable I would strongly recommend to do the tour that climbs the mountain stairs to see the view from the top, instead of the temples. The meal was ok, but nothing exceptional. Please remember to take some snacks and water. Alternatively you will have to buy them at higher prices at tourist stops. The boat ride was without question the highlight of this tour. The view of the mountain range is breathtaking. Going under two caves was incredible. You will have plently of time for photos and contemplation. But be aware!!! The boat person will become pushy for tips. We were going to tip the lady, but she became far too pushy that we decide not to. You will be asked for money in two moments: at the turn around when locals in boats with trinkets will try to sell you fruit and drinks and then again returning to land. The bike ride is nice, but the bikes are old and uncomfortable. I would recommend Ninh Binh to anyone wanting a taste of Vietnamese countryside.
I'd done an overnight trip through Ha Long Bay the day before so I was a bit worried I might be disappointed by this day tour. We had a stop at a store on the 2.5 hour drive from Ha Noi which was a lot smaller than the one we'd stopped at going to Ha Long Bay, but it also had things that were different. The history of Hoa Lu was great, as were the ancient pagodas, but I feel the tour guides in Vietnam are very long winded, as they do extensive lectures, with no visual context. I'm a school teacher and I'd suggest maybe a one page visual stimulus otherwise you'd have no chance at remembering all the information. How ever the boat ride on the Ngo Dong River from Tam Coc was amazing, the highlight of a 2 and a half week tour through Cambodia & Vietnam! Apart from the amazing scenery, think Ha Long Bay, but closer around a river, where the river even goes under the mountains in caves a few times in the journey, the people rowing use mainly their feet! So dexterous and skilled its a wonder to witness. The included bike ride was nothing much, so I walked around the town instead. This trip is worth it for the boat ride alone. I've done motor boats on the Guilin River, China, with similar scenery, but this is closer and more intimate with the landscape. I'd recommend it!
It was a wonderfull trip on halong bay. I recommend 😊 Good ambient, good lunch, special guide! Amazing experience on kaiak in a beautiful place. Visite the caves with an interessant history. Thany you
