Flower did a tremendous job explaining the street food, the differences between temples and pagodas, the history of Vietnam and really connected with us.

Loan was a great guide. Super friendly and knowledgeable. She took us to see places and things that we’d never have found on our own. We even got to observe a family ancestors ceremony in a hidden temple!

Highlights and hidden gems of Hanoi were expertly and interestingly revealed by Anne in a tour that took us into places that you would never find in a guide book! She explained how many different aspects of Hanoi worked-including housing, shopping, and temples. Our ten tastings of Hanoi Food tour with Anne was equally interesting, finding authentic Hanoi foods in unexpected place. She was great at explaining the street food culture and how to do it right! Our tour with Lien was truly amazing. Truly our favorite day in Hanoi. She was so knowledgeable and took us to truly amazing places. We requested to do the Mausoleum as well as a Pagoda in West Lake along with the hidden gems, she made our requests happen. We was very warm and easy to talk to- answered amazing questions. My favorite part was getting to see secret temples and shrines as well as an amazing cafe for egg coffee at the Hanoi Cafe and a great cocktail bar- circle. Truly an amazing day, we wish we could have spent more time with her exploring. Book with Lien- you will not be disappointed.

Loan was an incredible guide, making my introduction to Hanoi truly memorable. Her deep knowledge of the country’s history and her knack for uncovering hidden gems in the Old Quarter added so much charm to the experience. She pointed out details I would have completely missed on my own, giving the tour an extra layer of magic. One standout moment was when she took us to the famous doughnut stand tucked away in the Old Quarter—it was absolutely delicious and something I never would have found without her. Loan also recommended a street food tour with another guide, which sounded amazing, though sadly, we ran out of time to try it. Loan, thank you for an unforgettable experience! This was my second trip to Hanoi and my partner and I spent an evening with Brian on his walking tour. Great guy who is very knowledgeable about Vietnamese history. First stop was a roof top bar with views across the city. We then explored local street food vendors trying the infamous Banh Mi, a chicken and rice dish and grilled quail eggs. Without Brian’s recommendations we probably wouldn’t have stopped at these place. They were definitely popular with locals and worth a stop . We also visited a quirky bar serving a flaming Pho cocktail and then onto the Pasteur Craft Beer bar to try out a beer flight of three local beers. The passion fruit and Jasmine IPA’s were the favourite. We would definitely recommend the tour with Brian.

I choose this tour because I wanted to see what life is like for ordinary people. I was not disappointed, Trang gave me a tour of the local area ,showing me how and where people live. She gave me a an insight into the thoughts and hopes of those people. If you wish to learn about thiis side of Hanoi she is a good choice.

We had the most amazing morning with Loan doing walking tour of the Old Quarter. She was very informative, took us into places that you’d never go into as a foreigner (little back streets and very local places) and it just felt special. An insiders look into Hanoi. Was great to taste the local donuts, we visited a number of temples which were so intriguing to see and then finished at the Hanoi Hilton (the prison). This tour was a great way to spend part of our first day in Hanoi. Our fantastic tour guide Anne guided us through the Old Quarter. We were able get oriented and accustomed to the hustle and bustle of the city. It was a great highlights tour and the perfect start to our trip.

Lien arrived early, with a bottle of water test to go for each of us in our group, and after quick intros we started our secret treasures tour. It was an efficient, fun, and enlightening walk through the old quarter and french quarter with several unexpected hidden gems along the way.

Top marks to Jenny for customising the scope and the pace of our walking tour around the Old Quarter to reflect our interests. Her English is good and she gave interesting insights into the area and into its history. She is a fun companion with whom we enjoyed coconut milk on the pavement and iced coffee in an unusual venue, and a reassuring guide when crossing Hanoi’s [very!] busy, scary traffic. Overall I was much impressed - we’d use her again. Highly recommended.

We had such an amazing family fishing trip with Hang and it was great to see another side of Hanoi, away from the usual tourist areas and experience what the locals do. Hang was a fantastic guide and made sure our 3 kids had everything they needed throughout the trip. We even managed to catch a large fish, which quickly ended up being served up for a delicious lunch! We had a great tour with Ruby. It was a good combination of some historical information, sightseeing, food tasting and child friendly games. Our daughter of 7 was tired from the trip over here and therefore a bit difficult. Ruby remained extremely friendly and kept her engaged.

Our guide Jenny took us to some hidden temples and coffeeshops that we would never have been able to find on our own, we also visited the prison and learned about the war and enjoyed exploring the market and the old quarter

Trung was a lovely, knowledgable guide. We booked her for our first day in Hanoi and she provided a great orientation of the old town. We ventured through markets and saw the sights under her excellent guidance - and, importantly, we learned to ‘walk with purpose’ across the crazy streets! Anne certainly delivered a memorable experience on day 1 of our time in Hanoi. We were a large group of 10 which Anne managed well, telling us to be like “sticky rice” when crossing the hectic roads. A phrase we continue to use. Anne certainly did show us some hidden gems which we never would have found on our own. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our many questions. We had the pleasure of a lovely tour with Ruby at the end of June, 2024 with our family (3 kids - 12, 11 & 6). Ruby was fantastic and catered the tour to our kids with breaks for sugar cane juice, ice cream and cake to keep them interested. Ruby showed us lots of interesting history and markets, and has a beautiful and friendly demeanour, would very highly recommend this tour for families!

Hoa our guide for the day was fantastic. Her English really great. She was informative and interesting and took us to places we would never visit or find on our own. She was so knowledgeable. She took us for egg coffee which we loved! She was so passionate and very in tune with what we wanted. We ended at the prison which she knew so much about. I would highly recommend this tour. We covered a lot of ground but also had rest stops so we didn’t burn out in the heat. Hoa was a fantastic guide.

Of course there were thorough explanations, great communication, really all the stuff you would expect from a tour guide. But the things that made this tour really amazing for me: Loads of small restaurants that there were no way I'd find alone that were awesome! Took me shopping and negotiated for me! Talked about the economic situation and history of Vietnam in an easy to understand but interesting way. Talked about things like the effect of the pandemic, differences in culture for different areas of Vietnam, and what day to day life is like here. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a really well-rounded Hanoi experience in just a few hours.

We had a great half day walking tour with Ruby. From the moment we met her until our time was up, Ruby fascinated us with numerous stories about Hanoi and its past and present. We were taken to some well hidden places which we would never have found ourself, and Ruby provided many additional suggestions for us to try ourself. We felt like old friends with Ruby, who was so interested in our lives as well as telling us so many facts about Hanoi. We found the prison very disturbing but definitely worth seeing. We had a wonderful afternoon with Trang. We met her outside of the typical tourist areas and got see a great example of daily life in Hanoi. Whether it was the neighborhood market, a stroll in the park, a hang in the local cafe or a visit to a small pagoda and cemetery, Trang was great sharing the day in the life of a native Hanoian. She is very down to earth and made our time together very enjoyable.

Fabulous experience with Anne and my tour of Hanoi. She was knowledgeable and enlightning on the places that we visited. Her curiosity was remarkable and we ended up talking about a lot of things around her life growing up and Hanoi and the experience that I have, in contrast, living in the US. The tour covered many traditional highlights, unknown nooks and crannies such as a hidden temple, and seeing a home that changed dramatically after the influence of communism in the ‘70s. Anne was quick to adapt when something caught my eye - vintage thrift shop !- letting the tour veer off based on my questions and interests. Her positive spirit and infectious laugh made the tour even that much more fun.
