Itinerary
This tour is a culinary delight, ideal for food enthusiasts eager to explore Vietnam’s delicious cuisine. You’ll get the chance to sample a diverse array of street food at popular local spots. At either 18:00 or 13:00, our team of female drivers and tour guides from Ao Dai Motorbike City Tours will meet you in the hotel lobby. They will provide a safety briefing and a detailed itinerary for your excursion. Our fleet comprises brand new Eco Honda Lead Scooters, equipped with passenger backrests for maximum comfort, ensuring you feel at ease throughout the journey.
Our Hanoi By Night Foodie Motorbike Tours begin with a visit to a charming café renowned for its Banh Cuon (steamed rolled cake), hailed as the best in town by locals. Here, you’ll witness the skilled chef in action, demonstrating the culinary process. We then traverse the Old Quarter, aglow with lanterns and ornate lights, before riding along the bank of the Red River to admire the nocturnal charm of Hanoi.
Next, we visit one of Hanoi’s famous family-run restaurants to savor Bun Cha (grilled pork with vermicelli noodles). After this culinary delight, we head to West Lake to enjoy the picturesque landscape before arriving at Ngu Xa hamlet for freshly grilled fish, Hanoian-style Pho, banana salads, and other Vietnamese classics.
The final leg of our Hanoi By Night Foodie Scooter Tour Led By Women leads us past the Ho Chi Minh Memorial, where nightly ceremonies pay tribute to the revered leader. We then wander through Hanoi’s bustling streets to Train Street, where locals carry out their evening routines beside active train tracks.
To conclude our Hanoi By Night Foodie Motorbike Tours, we visit a renowned café to indulge in Vietnamese egg coffee and a secret dessert exclusively unveiled to our travelers. This delicacy, created in 1946, features beaten egg yolks with sugar, condensed milk, and a hint of vinegar for fluffiness, served with a shot of espresso and a sprinkle of chocolate powder, providing a unique coffee experience reminiscent of tiramisu.

The girls were great and it was very organised !!! Safe driving and even went to the Obama/bourdain restaurant which was a great suprise 💕💕
Great experience with a phenomenal guide! The food was great, and the tour of Hanoi was fantastic. Happy is a consummate professional with connections at each of the restaurants that make the process easier. The company sent a maintenance/tech guy along that kept the scooters either in the shade or close by for an easy entry/exit.
This was incredible adventure on the back of a motorbike. The places they took us to eat and places we rode/saw/experienced were incredible. It set us up for riding motorbikes for the rest of the trip and using grab app to order taxis cars/bikes.
A lot of fun and a great way to get a taste (pun intended) of Hanoi from the best vantage point - a scooter. The all-female team guided us expertly through the bustling city traffic, the tour doubling as a gastronomic experience, including a compact version of breakfast, lunch and dinner and other fun stops. Summi’s English was exceptionally strong and she was a knowledgable guide. Fantastic evening, highly recommended. Thanks again team 🙏🏼
Excellent tour with fantastic guides. Emma was wonderful—she took great care to make sure we learned about each dish and the history behind it. The Bún Chả was amazing. Such a fun experience. Highly recommend!
Thank you Lucy (Lucie) and Ali (Halley)! Thank you to the guide for this crazy and delicious journey in Hanoi! We loved the experience! Riding by night in Hanoi and enjoying so many different local (and delicious) specialities! We strongly recommend this guided food tour!
Emma, Trang and Hung were amazing and the food was wonderful. So happy and so full Would highly recommend this tour I was nervous about the bike but their driving was fabulous and I felt super safe and we had a bodyguard lol
Had the best night of our trip on this tour. We ate so much food and everything was delicious. Thank you so much. Our tour guides were hang and Emma and they were amazing and so friendly
An extremely fun way to see some of the sights of Hanoi and try local delicacies. My driver, Sunny, and our guide, Money, made sure I had a fun, safe and tasty tour. Rather than walking around avoiding the traffic, it was great to be a part of the organized chaos.
My friend and I had a great time on this tour. The scooter women were awesome! Thanks again! Great food! Riding with the experienced women was fun. We toured around the city of Hanoi at night with no problems at all. I would highly recommend this adventure. Thanks Money!
Emma provided the most amazing food tour. We ate food we would never have tried and at restaurants we would never have found. Would recommend to anyone travelling to Hanoi. A great host.
I had a wonderful time, learning and tasting the food of Vietnam, But the Tour guide Sami made it just that little bit better. She was very welcoming and great at educating us about the different types of dishes throughout Vietnam and how they can change for the North to The South. The Moto Drives were also extremely lovely and welcoming. Also felt very safe with their driving.
This was the highlight of our trip! The team was so fantastic and everyone was super nice! We were a family of 9’with a mix of adults and kids and everyone just loved it. I would book this again in a second!!
Our tour, led by Mao Luong was wonderful! Fun, informative, delicious food and explanations of the Vietnamese culture-well paced-I was a little leery of the motor bike but never felt unsafe. My driver was kind and engaging. I would recommend to anyone! Thanks for a great experience!
We had an amazing night on the motorbike food tour of Hanoi's Old Quarter! It was easily the best time we had in Hanoi. The drivers were fantastic, especially with my two daughters, who had an absolute blast. The food was delicious, and we got to see so much of the city that we wouldn’t have experienced otherwise. This tour is a must if you want to explore Hanoi in a unique and exciting way. Highly recommended
The tour was excellent! An and Emma were both brilliant guides. They were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic - and they made fantastic choices with the food. An amazing way to spend the evening and get to try some more traditional Vietnamese delicacies. The trip to train street was a particular highlight!
This tour is a must if visiting Hanoi. An and Emma were so friendly and knowledgeable. They made us realise that we had barely scratched the surface of Vietnamese cuisine and seeing the city by night on a scooter was a great way to experience Hanoi.
There's an infinite number of eating places in Hanoi, but you really need a guide or recommendations to find the best. The dishes we had on this tour were terrific. Hanoi at night looks amazing, and I felt really safe on the scooter with driver An. We had some great conversations too - something I hadn't expected. Possibly more likely to happen with a female guide? Anyway, it made this tour a unique experience. Thanks An!
Had so much fun with An & Emma riding around Hanoi at night - nice and cool with the rain (raincoats provided). Food was next level amazing - every place we stopped at and staff were friendly. This is a MUST DO Tour 😀
We had a great night. Setting off from our hotel in the middle of the old qtr amongst the busy 6pm traffic. Stopping at 6 food places with an experience of Hanoi cuisine that we would never have experienced or found by ourselves. Between the food stops we also experienced train street for 2 train passes and a great tour of the city. Down small laneways and onto major streets. The riders were great and gave god commentary of important sites whilst riding. The food choices were all enjoyable. Highly recommended
Fantastic way to see the Old quarter and try authentic local food. Great guide who shared lots of local knowledge about Vietnamese life. Felt safe on the bikes throughout, despite the Hanoi traffic chaos.. note lots to eat, go hungry!! So much fun and our teens said best night out...
The tour was fantastic, the tour guides are all very friendly and ensured our safety. We visited many local restaurants and the food was all amazing, the best part of the tour was getting an up close view of the train which passes in between the buildings. This tour was the highlight of our trip in Hanoi, highly recommend.
We had such an enjoyable experience with the knowledgeable Anne and Shang, if you are worried about the traffic and having an accident don't be, these guys are professionals. We experienced a fascinating range of local foods complete with stories of their heritage, we also enjoyed a trip across the iconic old bridge, it was some much fun, thanks guys!
Everyone Hanoi visitor - first timer or not- should book this tour if you want to see the city on a scooter at night and try the best food that they can offer. Ah, it was the best- Audrey (our tour guide and my scooter driver) and her group took me and my friend to Michellin restaurants to try Vietnamese food for breakfast, lunch, with a snack break at Train St (to catch a glimpse of the train heading to HCM), dinner, after dinner and dessert. We also met a fellow traveler on this tour. Food was the best (we experienced food coma after), the scooter ride I so enjoyed and felt safe, and I’ve learned more about Hanoi life from Audrey on that scooter ride. I have been coming to Hanoi on work trips before and I’ve always wondered how it is like to ride the scooter on their streets.I can tick that off from my bucketlist now. Thank you Audrey for that wonderful tour. Cam on! Danke! Salamat!
Trip advisor voted Hanoi as the Culinary destination of the world. For any tourists who travel for food ( aside of course from visiting temples, museums, and the many natural wonders) - this is not to be missed. Many thanks to Audrey for leading a group of young adult Vietnamese- very enthusiastic, mindful of the groups’ needs!
I enjoyed the Vespa experience. My guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He helped me to understand more about Vietnam culture and answered some questions about stuff I was unable to figure out.
We actually did the Halong Bay tour, booked through Motorbike tours but we think run by a different operator. It was a brilliant day from start to finish and our guide Happy was great. Would highly recommend.
We went with Hoa, Amee and Sammy on our tour to the countryside. It was great. They are all very skilled drivers and we felt safe. The countryside was very nice! Saw the ricefields, visited a local house and an old temple with an interesting story. Had a really good lunch too. Enjoyed every minute!
Amazing tour with a fabulous guide and driver! I wish we had booked this when we first arrived. It was seriously the best tour. We learned so much and got to experience Vietnamese life and food, not just the tourist stuff.
Such a wonderful experience. Worth every penny. Highly recommended! We saw so many parts of the city. Our guides were excellent.
Ginger, Ngoc,Sang took us around for 3 hours. We seen the whole city (Hanoi) and it was beautiful. The daylight sky faded into Nightlife and everything became unreal. It felt like a dream. The nightlife is fantastic, the colours, the roads, the motorbikes, the people. This tour was the best part of our visit to Hanoi!
We’ve had an excellent sunrise tour seeing the sites of Hanoi. It was full of interesting info on both the history and culture of the Vietnamese people. The tour guides, 2 girls and 1 boy, leading the way, were just delightful and I felt completely safe in their hands. It was brilliant to see the city wake up and come to life. Totally recommend it and a fabulous breakfast too!
We did a some hours motorbike tour through Hanoi and it was really much fun. We really liked the places they showed us and it was a good experience because it was our first time driving with a scooter and we felt very safe. We would definitely recommend you to do it!
I didn't eat good food and scented food, and my body was getting hot, and I accidentally applied for this tour, but I didn't eat good food when I picked up. Ok signed off to start the tour, and she said that she was a young and beautiful woman who was very good at driving. I have a delicious meal here, and I'm so hungry that I can't eat any more, and I've had my last dessert. Recommendation for those of you who feel burdened by Vietnamese food.
Very interesting tour in the city; guide with valuable knowledge of the history of the city and contagious sympathy.
It's an excellent tour. Good drivers. Very safe. Nice guys. It is a good way to get to know the city. totally recommended.
