Have to say this was probably one of the best evenings entertainment I’ve had - ever! We were “in the film”, not just watching it. What a blast - no better way to see Hanoi City with an incredibly informative guide. Train street and the dinner were also fabulous. Thanks to my rider, Xuan, for keeping me safe and our guide Kai for keeping me informed. Awesome evening and a highlight of our holidays.
We loved our tour - Kai was our guide, his English was excellent and he was really friendly, interesting & informative I was on the back of Snow's bike, her English was also excellent and I learnt a lot about family life in Hanoi She was an excellent driver & I felt very safe The tour ended with a very good dinner which we all enjoyed I can't recommend this trip highly enough
Louis and Long were fantastic driver-guides who navigated us through the nooks and crannies of Hanoi. They delivered an experience that far exceeded my expectations. The food stops were excellent, and they thoughtfully took care of details we likely wouldn't have even thought of ourselves. Exploring Hanoi by motorbike was one of the most memorable highlights of our trip. I highly recommend doing this activity on your very first day in Hanoi.
Lewis and his colleagues were amazing! They were knowledgeable, quick-witted, and incredibly funny. As Australians, we felt a genuine warmth and a truly welcoming introduction to Vietnamese culture. We highly recommend this experience to everyone!
Louis and Quang were fantastic guides. We visited numerous spots to sample a wide variety of dishes; I was so stuffed I couldn't manage another bite. It would be great to experience this tour with friends—weaving through the alleyways and tasting an even wider range of foods. I highly recommend this tour; it’s a wonderful way to enjoy the cool breeze and immerse yourself in the authentic local atmosphere.
A big thank you to our guides, Louis and Mike. You took such thoughtful care of everything at every stop and shared so many interesting stories, ensuring we had a wonderful time. I will certainly continue to use this service and consider joining other tours in the future.
Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had lots of fun and saw places we would not have found ourselves 😍
Amazing experience! Our guide was absolutely great, very friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting. We learned so much and had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!
Best tour ever Recommend for everyone
An absolute highlight of our trip! Thank you so much to Kai, Snow, Long, and Quang. We had an amazing time and learnt so much about the history of Vietnam. The food was amazing as well. Would recommend this to everyone.
An amazing tour with Kai, Long, Quang and Snow as our Vespa drivers and guides. Everything was seamless, fascinating and so much fun. We saw and experienced so many sides of beautiful Hanoi and all its sites and history. Including its motorbike traffic! Couldn’t recommend this tour more to experience the real Hanoi. It was a blast! Thx especially to our guides. Kim
Thanks to Louis and his crew for a truly memorable afternoon! Riding through the city on the back of a scooter with an experienced driver was an absolute blast—like a roller coaster on the streets of Hanoi. We got a great feel for the city, explored areas we never would have found on our own, and were even lucky enough to see a train pass through Train Street, which was a real highlight. This was a fun, unique, and unforgettable experience that we highly recommend.
Our family of five had an outstanding afternoon with Hugh and his team of expert drivers and cultural aficionados—a fun and fascinating adventure was had by all. Highly recommend!
The Vespa tour surpassed expectations. We were able to get an authentic Viatnamese experience. Kai, Long and Linh were excellent Tour guides taking us across Hanoi. They were on time, friendly, knowledgeable and made sure that we were enjoying the experience . Top of it all was the amazing dinner at the Hidden Gem Cafe
The tour was very good from start to finish. Everything was well organized, and the schedule felt balanced without being rushed. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience more engaging with helpful explanations and local insights!!!
Tuna was a great tour guide. While we were on the Vespa, he gave great conversation and facts about where we were going. The food at the snake restaurant was also really delicious and Tuna did a great translation for us with the owner. We finished off with egg coffee and chocolate. I definitely recommend doing this tour when you come to Hanoi and hopefully you have Tuna as your guide!
As a review on the tour itself 5 star on the aftermath cash payment problem I’d give it a zero. The 5 star tour. The tour itself was wonderful and well organized the 4 of us that included two people in their 80’s had a great time, lunch was well catered for and the lady host was friendly and a laugh. The tour itself and the four drivers were careful and attentive although some could not speak English well but we all managed. The countryside is lovely the local farmers also and the temples were interesting. So yes this tour is worth doing and was great but be aware when it comes to cash payment at the end and act as I’ve suggested below. The questionable payment act and resolution = zero stars The owner organizer was contacted about the money issue and the end resolution in clearing it up, or not in this case was disappointing. However, we have suggested that staff do not touch cash until fully counted and agreed that it’s the correct amount, NEVER PUT LARGE AMOUNTS OF CASH DIRECTLY INTO ANYONE’S HAND AS YOU COUNT IT IN VIETNAM this will help avoid the uncomfortable and suspicious act of the old note switcheroo in Vietnam. This may or may not have happened in our case but is a concern. We made a fatal error that left us wondering whether we had been money switched when paying cash at the hotel at the end of this tour. We were aware of the change out of two Vietnamese notes that look similar scam where one is a of a a smaller denomination is switched for the larger 500,000 dong note scam. So we had counted our cash several times beforehand and had kept it separately to pay. We made a huge mistake of handing it from our hand to his and as my partner is counting he interrupts and says you’ve made a mistake and additional says “oh be aware of the scam with the notes”, “look at the difference” , I see suddenly there is a note in both hands 1 with the smaller dong note and the other hand with the higher, he starts moving to the notes in my partners hand yet to be counted, saying we hadn’t paid right not in a menacing way, very cool and calm and swapping with the one in his hands with one from my partners, I’m still processing how suddenly a single hand ended up with notes in both hands when we were only handed the money to him into one single hand, it was so quick and slick. This is not normal behavior, which is why I was suspicious and remain so. The guide pointing out that we had made a mistake had moved very quickly and here was the mistake and warning not just for this tour but for all of Vietnam. NEVER put cash directly into someone’s hands whilst paying them. Go to the reception desk have a staff member or security guard watch you count the money on the desk before getting the guide over and repeat the count in front of them with the reception staff/door man/security people, lay it open and clearly on the desk like a bank teller would in front of everyone and the reception cameras. No hands other than yours. Let the guide or staffer point out any error with their finger, if their is one then you can see clearly see if there’s an error and make changes without feeling fleeced. You have a 3rd party viewing too. Because the problem here is the way we allowed the money to be handed over left doubt and that marred for us an absolutely wonderful day. Now the guide was supposed to return to the hotel and we were all to go through the security cameras, he did not, this was tilt to us by the boss. This is not an admission of guilt on anyone’s behalf or a accusation just part of the promise we got from the boss that did not happen but we will never ever act with cash like this again. But after counting this money half a dozen times before the tour and being aware of this issue I doubt we had the wrong notes. However doubt will always remain we are uncomfortable with thinking someone might have scammed us and to accuse someone also feels uncomfortable. This is what scammers want you to feel. The person running this organization says he asked the guide about it and he was offended that we questioned this so why didn’t he not return to the hotel as his boss said he would. The owner running this company should have come to see for himself and meet us and see if the cameras in the hotel could help clarify what went wrong and to check for any possible wrong doing by his staff so we could see if in fact, if there was an error or scam. All other correspondence from this company was professional the final action was not. We heard nothing further from them. This review is not to harm a perfectly good tour or company, this is not to defame the guide I have reluctantly chosen not to use names but it does however offer a warning. We have learnt from this we hope you do too.
Johnny took our tour for our family of 6. He was fun, engaging and knowledgeable. Specifically my driver was Snow who also shared a tonne of additional interesting information. Linh was also amazing taking photos and braiding my girls hair over lunch. Highly recommend.
Very good. Johnny was a great guide and showed us around the city. We also saw presidents getting escorted through the city. It was amazing.
Johnny's crew were excellent. Very good English and great information. The food was amazing.
I was riding with Linh and our tour guide was Johnny they were amazing and very friendly Linh was so nice and talked to me about the city and taught me things about the Ha Noi. The team was amazing and I had so much fun.
Kylie was AMAZING! So informative, funny & very interested in showing us around with enthusiasm. Would highly recommend her & Peter our driver 😊
Kylie was the best guide we’ve ever had. Her knowledge was amazing and she was incredibly funny and entertaining. Highly recommend this tour and then finished with an incredible traditional Vietnam meal at the recycled restaurant
Great experience with Kylie and Pete. Kylie was incredibly knowledgeable, personable and funny. Highly recommended!
We got the morning tour which means we got to ride around the city along with the locals going to work and starting their day before reaching the countryside. It's a nice tour if the hustle and noise of the city is starting to get to you. We got to ride around rice paddies and visit temples while learning more about the country's history. Oggy, the tour guide, was also knowledgeable and was kind enough to entertain all our questions. Son, my vespa driver, was also so kind. I appreciated that he and the other drivers drove safely whether we were at the highway, city streets, or countryside. We also got to enjoy a bountiful lunch cooked by "Grandma", which means everything was made with love and you get to ask for seconds :)
We were on a Vespa trip. It was an excellent trip. The guide Hai was excellent and professional.
The food was amazing and getting to see parts of Hanoi we would not have gotten to see otherwise was so special. It felt like we had a friend showing us their favorite spots.
Tuna was just fantastic. Very informative and super experienced. Thanks to August my bike driver, had a big smile on my face whole tour.
Tuna and my driver, Truong, were great and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend this tour!!! The ride in the little alleys is a treat.
BEST tour in Hanoi! 10 stars! Tuna, our tour guide was excellent, so was my driver, Harry! By far, this was the best part of my Hanoi trip!
Backstreet tour on motorbikes was fun and exciting. Tuna and Martin were very skilled drivers.
Tuna and the guides were great! They showed us important landmarks as well as hidden tips and places. Recommend doing this early in your trip to get to know your way around
Tuna was the best guide, very professional and flexible. Really loved it.
Wonderful friendly service and nothing was too much trouble for Tuna and Quang and they made our tour so much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend Hanoi tours and the services of Tuna and Quang to everybody.
Our 1/2 day Vespa tour with Guide “Tuna” was amazing, safe although a wet day we still enjoyed our solo guided tour, cannot recommend this enough! ! Outstanding food lunch at hidden gem coffee as well.
Would likely recommend Tuna and Andy. We did a private tour, which was perfect. We explored small alleys, markets and enjoyed every moment. Thanks to both for a wonderful experience
Thanks Tuna and Andy Had a fab time, showed us all the sites and also the back streets of Hanoi. Would highly recommend recommend
Tuna and Andy were our guides on the tour and were both informative and fun. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a bike tour but it exceeded my expectations! There were plenty of stops along the way to both sample local cuisine and take photos. A great tour!
Both guides were very good - Andy and Tuna - and the ride on the Vespa through Hanoi was definitely an experience! Would recommend as a way to see the city.
This tour was amazing. Best one we’ve done. Great to see the busy streets and sights of Hanoi. We got right amongst it! Big thanks to Tuna and Long. They got us around safely and shared lots of information.
Tuna was a very helpful and knowledgeable tour guild that took us on a a very exciting and funny tour of the city, showing it to us warts and all. I feel like I have learnt a lot and had nothing but fun while doing it. The vintage motorcycles are definitely a fun and unique way to get around this beautiful city.
Was so amazing. Tuna was so lovely and insightful. Got to see so much of Hanoi and experience the culture. The bikes made the experience come to another level

What an amazing way to see everything! Thank you so much Tuna, and Long and team for a wonderful experience. Incredible! Five star!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had an incredible experience seeing the city from the back of a motorbike! Even as a solo traveler, I felt completely welcomed and included. Our guide, Tuna, was fantastic—super knowledgeable and took us to a great variety of spots I never would have found on my own. A huge shoutout to my driver, Cheezy, who was not only friendly but an expert on the road. I felt totally secure weaving through the hectic Hanoi traffic thanks to their skill. The food stops were delicious and well-picked. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic taste of the city!
I loved every minute of our tour. Andy my driver was fun, informative and really accommodating. Tuna is amazing. Bery well paced tour. Lots of variety and a good selection of scenery. Loved it
We did the Food & Culture Trip on Vespa bikes in Hanoi in the morning. We were a group of 3 and K was our lead. We had a wonderful trip even though we were all a little nervous driving through the crazy streets of Hanoi. Our crew were brilliant and we saw so much of Hanoi that would not have been possible but for this tour. Driving through the narrow alleyways of Hanoi was one of my highlights as we saw part of the Hanoi culture that is a little hidden away. Ms. Snow was my guide and she was fun and engaging. It was a fantastic trip and I would strongly recommend it. Then we were all treated to a fabulous lunch at The Hidden Gem at the end of the tour. Jean T Ireland
