It was amazing, we tried lots of different traditional vietnamese dishes and explored parts of Hanoi that we would not have seen on our own. It was very helpful to give us the confidence to travel around a new city and get to know the background behind it. The food was delicious and we loved it especially with our tour guide, Lee.

This tour was amazing, we went to 7 different spots and ate a lot of food. Yen was really fun and very informative. She explained everything we wanted to know about the food and taught us about a lot of really interesting Vietnamese history. Would definitely recommend to do this tour!!

Our walking street food tour with Sarah and Julie was wonderful, we thoroughly enjoyed our morning! Both guides were knowledgeable, professional, warm and welcoming. Sarah had a deep knowledge of the origins of the food, culture and history of Vietnam. We shared a few laughs over our different cultures. We loved the food and quirky cafes and street stalls we visited. We were lucky enough to see the train pass on train street which was great fun and Julie kindly took some photos of us. We would absolutely recommend this walking food tour!
Booked the private food walking tour on the day we arrived in Vietnam. Was a great introduction to local food, and exploring hidden gems and the streets. Tried local foods we may not have ordered on our own. Nick was an amazing guide, clearly passionate about sharing his knowledge and local fare. This tour was so great and Sarah is the best guide. So much food and flavours you will not be disappointed with this tour. Such a wide variety of quality foods.
We have tasted Vietnam streetfood in the eyes of foreigners. It give us a glimpse of the history and how it develop overthinking me but still keeping the culture alive. It has the same texture and presentation as with the other food in other countries but it has a Vietnam flavor. Stalls are simple and staff were not uniform but it does not compromisenthe taste of the food they were serving.
The guide is really good. She introduced the history about the place and the food to let you deep into the culture of Vietnam

Tilly was amazing! We really enjoyed the tour - it is such a great way to taste all the best classic food in Hanoi. If you are in Hanoi, you must do this tour. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Tilly was very accommodating and knowledgeable, and gave us very helpful advice for our time in Vietnam.

My husband and I had the most amazing time on this tour! We ate so many delicious foods that we had never tried before. First we had an amazing banh mi and it was so helpful that our guide waited in line for us while we sat comfortably inside. After that we tried some rice rolls and she taught us how to eat them and clean our chopsticks the traditional Vietnamese way. Next, we went to get some summer rolls and some dry noodles with chicken and roasted peanuts - LOVED. Then it was time for dessert - this was my favorite part. We had a really yummy sweet cold soup which was perfect for this weather. Afterwards, we tried Vietnamese coffee on a beautiful balcony with an amazing view, before heading to train street!! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Tera was an amazing guide!!!!

The tour was even better then we expected! Not only did we taste various Vietnamese dishes (both savoury and sweet), our guide Phùng Minh Yến told us a lot of information about the history and culture of Vietnam. Besides, she gave a lot of tips for the rest of our trip and she was nice company. We even went to Train Street en had a beer. It was worth every cent!
This tour for us is the best way to eat your way through the old quarter. It is sometimes a challenge to order from small stalls especially when the owners do not know how to speak english. Having a local guide makes ordering a breeze. We did the old quarter walking tour with Sarah and she was just lovely! She ordered all the best things and maybe because of their relationship with the store owners she was able to get smaller sized portions for us (to better able to enjoy the 5 food stops). She taught us what dips and herbs to pair with what food. She was also eager to share about vietnamese culture and history so as a tourist it helps you understand better how locals live and helps you know more about Hanoi. She was very helpful in helping us find the best and cheapest places to buy souvenirs. Overall a knowledgeable, fun, accomodating, enthusiastic tour guide. Thank you, Sarah! -Josef and Bree

Yen (Sarah) is an excellent tour guide. Very informative friendly and knowledgeable. The food was varied and tasty. Sitting next to the train track while the train went by was a fun and scary experience.
Chloe was amazing! I felt like I was just out with a friend. I recommend coming extremely hungry as we ate so much ! Chloe also took the time to recommend a bunch of other restaurants for me to try during my time here. As a solo traveller this was the perfect tour for me as I got to see a lot of places I wouldn't have ever found by myself!

Ruby was super nice and friendly. She showed us a lot of nice places in Hanoi. We got to try a lot of good food and got to see Ha Noi old quarter through a more local viewpoint, not just as tourists.

Took this tour with my wife as part of a package through Crossing Vietnam Tours. Our guide Ruby took great care of us! We got excellent banh mi sandwiches (one each chicken and pork) at one spot; a pork-and-noodle dish called bun cha and something with seafood at another; spring rolls with pho noodles at a third, and then a sampling of Vietnamese desserts and a final stop for coffee. Ruby knows her way around Hanoi and was able to tailor the food to request (I wanted to try bun cha specifically, for example). Quality of the food was excellent. There are many Vietnamese restaurants in my hometown so I have a basis for comparison. The pho was delicious and the banh mi was best I’ve ever had. My only complaint is that I rolled home so stuffed I couldn’t eat until late lunch the next day. Ruby was an excellent companion for the tour, knowledgeable and helpful. She also offers a cooking class tour which I plan to take next time I’m in Hanoi. You can’t go wrong with this tour.
Dan "the man" gave us a great tour around the old town and had us taste delicious local dishes in surprising places. He's talkative, knowledgeable and kind and his English is exceptionally good. We enjoyed every meal we tried. Seeing the train passing by straight in front of our face was an exceptional experience. We definitely recommend this tour, just make sure you don't eat so much before you start the tour, you will try plenty of delicious food.

The tour was enjoyable. We had a great time eating authentic Vietnamese food in Hanoi. The guide we had (Eric) also explained well about the food preparation and the culture that comes with it. It was also nice not having to join a tour with a huge group. Thumbs up!
This was the perfect way to explore The Old Quarter, try new foods and learn more about Hanoi and Vietnam. The foods we tried were a delicious assortment, many of which we would likely not have found on our own, and we ended with the most gorgeous egg coffee, before heading over to watch the water puppets. Jackson was a charming and knowledgeable guide and it was fun meeting fellow travelers!
