This is an absolute must do when in Hanoi. We had the best time. Our Guide Trung (Jenny's Husband) was amazing with very good English and explained a lot to us along the tour. He Showed us places we would have never seen, and tasted good delicious. All was delicious. Finished off with a Egg coffee, which was also delicious. We also got taken around the sites and got some History about Vietnam along the way.

We had Trung as our walking street food tour guide and could not recommend him highly enough. Not only did we get to experience some of the real Hanoi s food and culture but his knowledge on the History of the city was incredible. We had an amazing time on our food tour! The Train St visit was exeptional, great seats and view. We felt we were able to ask any questions we needed and learnt a lot about Hanoi. We went on two tours with Trung. He did an excellent job. The first was an evening food tour. There was no shortage of food. He kept asking if we wanted to try. We tried EVERYTHING and it was all delicious. From eggs with ducks inside, worm pancakes, bun cho, coffee, shrimp cakes, spring rolls, fruits, banh mi, beer with peanuts, and beverages. He reserved a spot on train street for us to have a good view. There was so much food I do not even remember everything. The second tour was a city and food tour. Again no shortage of food and Trung was extremely informative. He showed us pagodas, rivers, bridges, statues, parks and city buildings, He taught us about the different neighborhoods and what the name of the streets were before and what they sell today. Trung has a great personality. He is honest and patient. He was with us all day feel. 9am to 5 pm. We walked over 9 miles but could have stopped when ever we wanted. We recently explored Hanoi, Sapa, Halong Bay, and Ninh Binh, and Jenny took care of everything - from hotel bookings to airport transfers and itinerary planning. Jenny's walking tour of street food in Hanoi was MAGICAL. She showed us her city, the markets, the old quarter and train street like she was introducing us to her best friends - it was that warm and personal. We ate 4 amazing meals in the 5 hours we were together, we drank hand-poured salt coffee (delightfully delicious) and enjoyed Hanoi Beers on Train Street (a scary-fun experience!) She shared with us history, culture, religion, politics... and food. We used Jenny to organize our 10 days itinerary in Vietnam. She setup all the tours and transfers and customized our itinerary based on our needs/wants. Jenny was very responsive and flexible, she runs a small family business company which we liked. Upon arrival to Hanoi, she met us in the hotel with her husband and they did walking food tour for us. It was great introduction to Vietnamese food. Next day her husband and a driver took us to Ninh Binh day tour. It was a good experience even though weather didn’t cooperate we still enjoyed it. Jenny organized very good and knowledgeable guides for us in other places: Da Nang and HCMC. Is it your first time in Vietnam? This is a must do on your first day. We would not have known what to eat, where to get it from or even how to order. Doing this your first day just gives you the confidence to know what to do for the rest of your trip. We did our food tour with Jenny from the blog and loved every minute. • We started with Pho for a traditional breakfast, this came with a chopstick lesson • Then an ice cold salt coffee if Strong Coffee! Had a stroll around the old quarter and Jenny showed us where some good shopping was... Then grabbed a takeaway Bahn Mi to eat at Train Street. While we waited for the train I had a refreshing lemon iced tea and Hubby had a Mango Smoothie • 9 . Then when I thought I couldn't eat any more we had Bun Cha • which I think was my favorite. Another lesson Jenny included which was handy for a first timer was how to cross the road, sounds strange but you will understand when you get here To finish off we had what I would call a dessert & but they call egg coffee. Just returned from the most wonderful 3 weeks away, starting in Ho Chi Minh, moving on to da nang and hoi an, then Hanoi for week 3. Have just returned from a 24 day trip to Vietnam. Love, love, love this country, the people are so beautiful. Amazing! We were met at our hotel and spent almost 5 hours exploring Hanoi and tasting the most incredible food We were lucky enough to watch the train go through from Train Street with a beer in hand from a first floor balcony, eat Pho from the best place in town and enjoy Bhn mi from secret back room. Several other great food stops and constant history and geography information. We cannot recommend enough.

Trung took us to all of the food spots that no tourists know about. Some were just a hole in a wall, up a hall, stairs, and then to find a secret haven where most of the patrons were locals. Trung also had an extremely good knowledge of the landmarks and history of Hanoi and his country, which was so interesting during the tour. The best part was that he didn’t rush, he was very patient and nice company. We felt very comfortable and safe, plus all of the food was soooo good!! We highly recommend Jenny from the Blog. We booked the Walking tour after reading fab reviews and very glad we did as it was a highlight of our whole time in Vietnam. Trung met us at our hotel then took us to Train Street for coffee which he had a table reservation made already and what a vibe that was! We then hit the streets of Hanoi weaving through cute streets and checking out lots of hidden gems you wouldn’t find by yourself. We stopped for Bahn Mi (25) then dined on Bun Cha which Trung taught us how to best eat it, Many other dishes and drinks were sampled while winding through the streets including Egg coffee and being coffee lovers it was great! We were recommended the walking tour by. Family we met on our travels. We booked in with Jenny on messenger and the afternoon we had with her was fabulous. So many amazing dishes and drinks along the way. Very generous meals, walking through the markets and finishing at train street. The Pho, Banh mi and Bun Cha were the best we’ve had. Trung took us on our (2 adults and 2 teens) walking tour through Hanoi, and it was such a great day. He clearly loves what he does and took the time to show us the features and sights of the old quarter while guiding us through the local Vietnamese food and coffee. We have some very fussy eaters, and he helped to explain and cater to our needs. It was an intensely hot day, and Trung was more than happy to make extra stops so we could get more cold drinks and recharge. He also took photos of our family and sent them through to us so that we have photos of our day. I completely recommend the walking tour, it made our trip to Hanoi memorable.

We had a private tour for myself and partner with Trung (Jenny’s husband). He was fantastic, took us around to many different spots to eat and drink. Told us the history of Hanoi and explained a lot of the streets and how they came about, was all very interesting. He was lovely and took lots of photos for us. We especially enjoyed train street and the Long Bien Station where we saw one of train bridges which was built in 3 years between 1899-1902 which is amazing during that time. My wife and I did the walking & food tour of Hanoi on our first day in town and loved it - the food was excellent and it gave us a really good overview of the city's history and the layout of the old quarter. Today we enjoyed a fantastic food tour of Hanoi. Our tour guide was Trung, he was brilliant, friendly, fun and so knowledgeable. We had an amazing time wandering the streets of the Old Quarter eating a variety of local dishes and drinking egg coffee and beers on Beer Street Trung knew the area very well and took us to places we would never have found on our own . He also explained to us the history of the town. It was a fascinating afternoon and something we would highly recommend.
