Next, we’ll try one of Vietnam’s most iconic dishes – Bánh Mì. Enjoy a crispy baguette filled with a variety of flavorful ingredients. To end on a sweet note, treat yourself to sticky pandan rice topped with ice cream and mango – a delicious combination that’s sure to take your taste buds to the next level.
Stop at a local restaurant to try an exquisite combination of deep fried stuff such as spring rolls, pillow cake, shrimp cake, or deep fried fermented pork… served with a dish of raw vegetables and fish sauce.
Enjoy a cup of delicious egg coffee or egg cocoa (for those who cannot drink coffee). Dive in the creaminess and the richness of the egg cream made by perfectly whisked yolk, sugar, condense milk.
Excite your palate with delightful bites of sweet and savory donut balls. The sweet version is filled with creamy mung bean paste and coated in a light layer of cane sugar, while the savory one features a flavorful pork and mushroom filling wrapped in a crispy golden shell.
Wrap up your food journey with another classic Vietnamese dessert – Chè. This refreshing treat is especially popular in the summer, featuring a colorful mix of toppings like tapioca pearls, jelly, and creamy coconut milk, creating a sweet and cooling finish to your culinary adventure.

Fantastic experience of food tasting and knowledge of the area and food. Ruby was very was a beautiful tour guide.
Really awesome tour. Ruby was great, knowledgeable and helpful. Food was delicious. Would recommend to anyone visiting Hanoi Old Quarter
Incredible food, great pace, and an amazing local host. We tried 6–7 different dishes across the Old Quarter—from fresh spring rolls and noodle dishes to the famous egg coffee—and every single bite was sensational. Our guide was warm, attentive, and full of great stories and recommendations for the rest of our stay. Do yourself a favor and book this on your first night in the city!
I had a really great time on this tour. I learned so much about Vietnamese food. The group was great and Dulcie, our tour guide was really knowledgeable about the food and the city.
This was a great tour. As a solo traveller, it was a lovely way for me to gather some friends for Saturday night dinner. I joined a really nice group and we had a great experience tasting local foods with our guide, Rose. As well as learning about each of the foods, Rose also gave us lots of background to Vietnam’s history and culture. We finished the tour on train street with a beer as the train passed by :) I would recommend this to anyone looking for an intro to Vietnamese food and a stress free way to walk around a busy city at night.
Rose was an extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and sincere guide. We finished the night stuffed with delicious dishes and history!
Sarah was such an amazing guide and gave us all kinds of information about Vietnam and the food. It was an incredibly interesting and delicious tour, time just flew by! We had a great time. Highly recommended! :)
Sarah was absolutely amazing! She was so sweet, helpful, knowledgeable, and funny, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We learned so much from her and got to try so much food along the way. Everything was delicious, and we left full, happy, and with a much better appreciation for the food and culture. Highly recommend booking with Sarah!
Our guide Lucy was amazing! Her knowledge and food selection was first class! Highly recommend!
Great experience. Wonderful guide! Great food and lots of it!
We had a wonderful time and got to try super fresh and delicious local food. We were accompanied by our excellent guide Evelyn who shared her experience and knowledge with us. Highly recommended!
I was with Evelyn and she was very nice and I enjoyed her company and I recommend her. I did the tour and I was the only one. Which gave it a more personalized feeling but if you are looking to meet more people this might not be the place else it’s a great way to meet a local who teaches you about the dishes and the culture. I booked the cyclo option and that I wouldn’t recommend. The cycle was barely moving, walking was faster. we only rode for 15-20 min when the description says 40 min and I didn’t get to really see anything interesting as we barely moved but I guess depends on the driver you get. We also saw the train pass by which I was not expecting so that was a good plus to compensate.
We had a great time on our food tour! Our guide, Rose, was sweet and knowledgeable about all the different foods. We left so full and happy! Thank you!
Rose was an outstanding guide who listened to our interests and took us to a great range of locations to try lots of different dishes. She was very knowledgeable and explained the various foods clearly and in detail. We loved our time with her.
The food tour with Rose through Hanoi was hands-down one of the absolute highlights of my entire trip through Southeast Asia. She took me to wonderful local spots that I never would have discovered on my own, making for a very diverse and exciting tour. What I loved most was that Rose didn't just show me where to eat; she shared so many interesting stories about the history of each dish we tried. On top of that, she gave me plenty of helpful tips for the rest of my stay in Hanoi. I was truly impressed by her genuine hospitality and warmth. I can highly recommend this tour to everyone—it is a must-do on any trip to Vietnam. Rose is an exceptional guide!
I did my tour with Quinn. She was a lovely tour guide and showed my different authentic places and food. She as well asked for my preferences and easily adjusted spots like that. Lovely and perfect food tour and company.
Very yummy tour! Rose and Olivia were both very informative and super helpful. Would recommend both these tour guides!
Incredible tour!!! Rose was great and the food was amazing.

Qinn was a delight! Come with an empty stomach! The amount of food is crazy. A wide range of dishes to really experience vietnam.
Stephanie was an amazing food tour guide. We absolutely loved her very personable approach and style, she was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and her excellent communication and English skills were above the rest. Honestly, it’s safe to say that Stephanie is probably one of the best guides in Hanoi. She was on point explaining every venue/place, community, street, restaurant, dish, and history and story behind every cuisine. Every single one of us had a memorable time. We enjoyed every single minute of it! Thank you so much, Stephanie - we hope to see you again soon 🥰❤️🙏🙏🙏
Great food tour with excellent guides! Ethan and Kira made the tour special, educational and fun. Highly recommended!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such an awesome time on this food tour with our amazing guide, Stephanie! We went for the private option and honestly, it was the best decision — so much more personal and relaxed. We had a few food restrictions, but Stephanie went out of her way to make sure we could still try heaps of different dishes. She even added in a few things we wanted to taste that weren’t originally on the itinerary, which was such a nice surprise! The best part was exploring little hidden spots down narrow alleyways and up tiny staircases — places we’d never have found on our own. Every stop had something unique and absolutely delicious. If you want to try local food that’s off the usual tourist path and get a real feel for the city’s food scene, this tour is a must. We loved every minute!
We did the tasting tour with Marina and had a lovely time. She took us to great hidden spots and explained the history of the dishes. We tried many different dishes and were so full at the end! Fantastic time, really recommend.
Lots of food. Great company and meeting others who love to try different foods. Also, good seats wherever you go. Guide Quinn was super and very knowledgeable. Five stars from me
Lucy is a pleasant guide who helped us discover Hanoi in a new culinary light ;)
The tour was mega exciting and very well attended. Thank you Sarah for the great time and for telling us so much about your homeland and culture. We would be happy to recommend you LG
It's nice to walk nearby and take a taxi far away. It's good to eat. The restaurant was not bad either. Especially the road is so beautiful.
