Hanoi Old Quarter Private Daily Street Food Experience

I had a very enjoyable tour around the Old Quarter, and my tour guide, May, was great. She was thoughtful in her suggestions for resturants/vendors to visit. We also had some good conversations during the tour, and she also shared information about the history of the area. I would book another tour for a future trip as well!

We had a wonderful tour with Emma! She took us through both the French Quarter and old quarter to find some Vietnamese treats. Although we expected to eat well, we were overjoyed that Emma shared so much history and culture with us, including what university life is like in Vietnam. After her tour, we felt better oriented with how to get around the city and look for more delicious eats. She even shared a restaurant list with us later for us to explore on our own! Hana was our guide for the street food walking tour! A note of caution, MUST keep your stomachs empty as by the end of the tour all our clothes buttons came apart and we added 10kg each to our body weights 😁 but the tour around Hanoi was really yummy, I only wish I did it on my first day so I could go back for more

I booked this tour very last minute (within 2 hours) so I was worried no one would show up but after calling the company they arranged for the lovely Hazel to come and meet me. She managed to arrange a whole tour within half an hour and I eventually went to meet her in the old quarter. I can’t thank Hazel enough, I was a bit scared to be out in the evening on my own but she was so friendly and chatty and made me feel so comfortable in all the authentic restaurants and then took me to train street! Highly recommend, such a brilliant night 🫶

I went on the food tour with Hana today. It was a wonderful experience; Hana showed us two excellent and incredibly delicious restaurants, as well as a beautiful café. I had an amazing experience on the Hanoi Street Food Tour with a Local Guide, and I couldn’t recommend it more! I was incredibly lucky because it ended up being a private tour with just me and my guide, Emma. She took me to authentic local places that I would never have found on my own, and every dish was absolutely delicious. What made the experience truly special was Emma herself. She explained every food, and local tradition in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely interesting. Beyond the food, we talked about Vietnamese culture, daily life, travel, and so many other topics. Her English is excellent, which made the conversation effortless and enjoyable. You can tell that Emma genuinely cares about what she does. She is warm, knowledgeable, and made me feel welcome from the very beginning. It felt like spending a few hours discovering Hanoi with a local friend. Thank you, Emma, for making my first food tour in Hanoi such a memorable experience. Great few hours with Shizuka going to recommended food places! Was stuffed after 2 places! Learnt some new things along the way! Definitely recommend for sure!

Allthough we struggled with the booking system, once we comunicated via e-mail everything worked like a charm. The tour was super nice. Hana knew all the small, delicious, local stands and restaurants. She also told us about life in vietnam and we had a nice chat about our lives. 10/10 would do again!

May was an excellent guide. She showed us a lot of secret food from Hanói. We also had a really interesting talk about vietnamese culture, a bit of language exchange and we made a new friend. Definitely recommended, it's a must of Hanói!

Excellent tour very nice girl.

We had a wonderful food tour covering unique places. The guide, Shizuoka, was extremely kind and chose the places depending upon their preferences (things that we haven’t tasted yet). The customisation ensured that we keep on tasting new and unique things. The trip ended at the Train street which was another unique experience. Highly rated for all first timers in Hanoi!

We went for the food tour with Hann and enjoyed ourselves!! She was very knowledgeable and introduced us to great street food. She also accommodated to a later start time for us, which we were very thankful for. Overall, we are very happy to have met her.

We just finished a wonderful Hanoi old quarter food tour with Hann. She was amazing with our 10 year old son, shared some great stories and put together a perfect menu from the requests we made. I had wonderful time with Hana, who is a university student and volunteer on my first day in Hanoi. I was happen to be the only tourist on that Saturday evening. We met in front of my hotel then she guided me to 3 different dinner places as well as local coffee place. I really enjoyed various authentic Vietnamese cuisines and she explained interesting history of Vietnam, Old Quarter of Hanoi and Vietnamese foods. Without her, I couldn't find these local gems. Highly recommend to all the people who visit Hanoi!

We had an enjoyable time with HFWT. We were lucky to get Albert as our guide as she was very knowledgeable and well-spoken. She shared a lot of insight on the Vietnamese culture and history. And was very happy to answer our inquisitive questions. I am quite impressed as this organization is run by young university students. Everything was very professionally organized!

We had a lovely evening with our gorgeus guide Pepper. He took us to three different restaurants to sample different dishes and finished the evening in a very nice rooftop cafe, a hidden gem that we wouldn't have found otherwise. He was easy to talk to and his english was very clear. We really enjoyed this experience and we definitely recommend it to anyone.

We had Minh (Arthur) as our tour guide. He took us to backstreets of Hanoi that we would not think of going. The food shops and the food that we had was soo good. Minh was very outgoing and informative. He even gave us recommendations after. Highly recommended to book this tour

We had an incredible afternoon with Vy! She made us feel so safe being in a new city. We saw, ate and did so many thing we would not have braved on our own. Vy had so much knowledge and really did make us feel like her very best friend.

Taking the Hanoi Free Walking Tour was one of the best decisions we made during our stay in Hanoi. We were accompanied by Pia who showed us important places within the Old Quarte. She also shared insights about the history and stories of the places. The experience was very informative that you would have better understanding of the culture and traditions in Hanoi. Pia was very friendly and patient also with us for every stops that we took to eat/try steet food along our walk 😅. This was an Excellent Food Tour. I had a Brilliant guide, Lilly, who made wonderful conversation and taught me so much about Vietnamese food and culture. She also gave me great tips on things to do in Hanoi and shared insights you cannot get from guide books or the internet. The food was so memorable. I tried things I would never have even considered before and went places I could not have found alone. I felt like a local :) It was a once in a lifetime experience. We went on a Streetfood Tour at night with our guide Aurora. She was very nice and showed us the Vietnamese kitchen. We visited numerous restaurants which we would not have found on our own. We discovered new dishes and places. Would recommend it at any time!

We had an amazing time during our Hanoi Street Food Tour with Vy. Our guide was very responsive and communicated well even before the tour started. We were asked if we have food allergies and what type of foods we are looking into eating. Vy was very knowledgeable with the local food in Hanoi and was able to explain the history of each dish with detail. The experience was awesome as Vy took us to locations where locals of Hanoi would eat. +++ Vy was a great photographer. She took a lot of photos usinher phone and mine +++ Our guide's english skills was impressive. there was very minimal hint of Vietnamese accent which made us understand her easily.

The Vietnam Food Tour was a fantastic experience! We were able to try many authentic Vietnamese dishes that we probably never would have discovered on our own. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and told us a lot about Vietnamese cuisine, culture, and local eating habits. The selection of different foods was varied and everything tasted excellent. Our guide Catilyn was super dear and attentive. We explored for about 3-4 hours the old neighborhood. It led us to a coffee that was the best egg coffee we had in Hanoi. Super recommend!

We had Chi as a guide who could give us the best possible insight into Vietnamese food. The restaurants were very local. The walks from restaurant to restaurant were very entertaining and we learned a lot about Vietnam and culture beyond the food.
