It was a nice, low-key experience. While this was maybe not the most exciting thing we've done in Vietnam and is also not that cheap, it was a nice half-day. We would not have had the chance to see this part of the "countryside" just outside Hanoi by ourselves. The place where we went for lunch was very local (perfect!) and the Bun Cha was something I still dream of :-)

Itinerary
Join us for the Hanoi Jeep Tour at either 8:00 AM or 1:00 PM, where you will meet our guide and drivers at your hotel. Our tour takes you out of Hanoi to explore old rural villages and witness the countryside life of the locals. Meet a local family, try some candy with tea, and engage in conversation with their assistance as a translator. As we continue our journey on the jeep, we visit a farm and then cruise through the lush green rice paddies, taking the off-beaten path dirt road to Co Loa Citadel Temple. Here, we will learn more about Vietnam's history, a historical site with stunning scenery and a land associated with the legend of setting up and protecting the country against foreign invaders, such as Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong.
During our Hanoi Jeep Tour, we will make a stop at Hoi Phu village, where the locals are famous for their skill in producing broomsticks, a traditional craft in the Red River delta. Our guests will have the opportunity to witness the talented broom makers at work as they create beautiful and functional broomsticks from broom grass.
Visit an ancient temple and pagoda, as well as a 200-year-old traditional house with privately owned Bonsai gardens that belong to a war veteran, and have a chat about their daily life over a cup of tea.
We conclude our thrilling tour at a local café, where we can unwind and savor the renowned local specialty, Egg Coffee. This café has been serving this delicacy since 1946, adding to its authentic charm.
At the end of our Hanoi Jeep Tour, we will stop at a local restaurant in town to sample authentic Vietnamese cuisine before being dropped off back at your hotel, marking the end of our unforgettable tour.

Chris was a very interesting and informative guide. We went to some great places out of the city and off the beaten track. Very good tour. Would recommend if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Really enjoyed the entire experience… our guide Anh was very engaging, knowledgeable and very friendly, driver Huy was safety conscious and also very friendly. We liked the personal touch and now better appreciate the beauty of the Hanoi countryside. It was a great journey in the Jeep.
The tour guide Anh was very accommodating and kind. We had a very good time learning about Vietnam. Very nice ride as well.
Van Anh is a terrific guide and showed me lots of interesting places. Getting around on a scooter is the way the town works, so it’s also brilliant to see the ins and outs of the town
An adventurous afternoon with Anh going down narrow lanes and backstreets. We enjoyed a nice seafood noodle lunch. I liked that I went to places I never would have found on my own. Anh had good local knowledge and good road sense. I felt quite safe while she got us through the Hanoi traffic. I'd recommend this tour to anyone that has a sense of adventure and wants to see more of this interesting city.
We booked the 4 hour motorbike excursion which included stopping off at many sights around Hanoi, along with a delicious Vietnamese lunch and also a stop to try egg coffee however in my case an egg hot chocolate which I recommend! Myself and my husband were the only people on our tour and both our riders were excellent and very knowledgeable. Thanks for a great time, thoroughly enjoyed it! Would book again :)
My partner and I were mesmerised by the traffic in the Vietnamese cities...Chaos Theory in action. So we decided the best way to experience it was to get in amongst it. We didn’t have the confidence to hire Scooters (although we were tempted) so the next best thing is a ride on the back of a Scooter in the safe hands of a tour guide. We did a food tasting tour in Saigon and enjoyed it so much we decided to spend our last few hours in Hanoi just riding around, seeing the sights, stopping for drinks and food here and there. Our guides were Van Anh and Sang who were charming, friendly, knowledgable and great fun. They took us to places we would never have found including the ‘Banana’ Island on the Red River and a meal in a cafe once frequented by Barack Obama. If we ever come back to Vietnam we would definitely do this again.
Today was one of the best days of my trip to Hanoi!! Tea and the team were absolutely fantastic and super nice!! Would definitely do it again and definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Hanoi! At first I was apprehensive to ride a motorbike as I’ve never done so before, but as soon as I got onto the back of the motorbike I felt reassured and safe :) 10/10 would recommend 10/10 would do again I will definitely be contacting them whenever I visit Hanoi again!!! <3
Honestly, booking this motorbike tour was one of the highlights of my holiday. Me and two of my friends went on a half day tour of Hanoi and got to see parts of the city that we wouldn’t have seen if we didn’t go on this tour. It was an insightful and enjoyable day for all of us. Our tour guides were amazing too. Just an amazing experience. Will 100% do again.
The highlight of our time in Hanoi. My three boys (aged 12, 10 and 10) and I loved every minute. Tea and his team (Bean, Isabella and Craze) were both knowledgeable and humorous. And we also felt very safe on the back of their bikes. Highly recommend!!!
Friendly, mind-opening, good food ( conscious of allergy), excellent customer service Flexible plans and included 1 snack, 1 lunch and 1 dessert
Saw a lot in little time.tried great food, great coffee (egg coffee). Got a good insight into the history of Hanoi. we had chi, hoa, and sing were our guides and they were brilliant. Very enthusiastic and very informative. They've great English.
Great way to discover Hanoi! The guides are friendly, funny and know all the interesfing places. Highly recommended!
I was picked up by a young and friendly local at a location of my choise the moped was the first one I had driven which was well maintained. Riding it itself felt great. I was taken through small local streets which show the local life and spirit. But the best part was when we suddenly went off road onto the river bed where locals grow all kinds of fruits and vegetables. We drove along farms and banana tree's seeing skyscrapers in all directions. It was an awesome experience in the middle of the capital of Vietnam less than a km away from city centre. The guide was easy-going and knowledgeable and definitely knew how to ride a moped. I felt safe whilst riding and when a somewhat dangerous situation arouse he handeled it perfectly. 10/10
Sang was wonderful. He brought us to places that only locals would know and the whole journey was so different to the typical tourist spots. He showed us places without many tourists and Brought us landmarks and ford places that was just breath taking. I’d definitely recommend his motorbike tour to everyone to have an authentic Hanoi experience.
I had a great experience with Sangu! He is the best guide for knowing local Hanoi. He took me to where I cannot visit alone like island of Hanoi, oldest bridge, west lake etc..Highly recommended to everyone!
Cruising around Hanoi on a motorbike was such a cool experience. On a bike you can just skip most traffic and easily go around cars and reach different points of interest quite quickly. Good and interesting sights covered.
It was a pleasure to be on the motorcycle tour to see the remote part of Hanoi. The drivers drove carefully and explained the sites as you stop. Would like to recommend this for anyone who wants to see more than just the touristy spots in Hanoi.
Very fast way to see the main spots of Hanoi! With the scooters you get the Hanoi feeling. The two boys are very friendly and they give you advice for other things to do in Hanoi. If you only have a few days I would totally recommend doing a tour!
Chris knows the city and drive well. He shows me several nice places and I really appreciated the middle island gardens and the old bridge. It is nice to see so much green near this big city. I enjoyed my tour even with the rain because he had one raincoat for me. Cam on Chris!
I took a short motorcycle tour with a safe driver named Chris. I saw many of the tourist attractions including Hanoi Train Street and West Lake. We also went to a place along the Red River where fruits and Vegetables are grown in the dry season which most tourists don't see. Had a great time and stopped for a world famous Egg Coffee towards the end.
Cris was and impressive, knowledgeable and generous guide. He was very eager to show me the best of Hanoi at every turn. I enjoyed great views of the train street, tracks, Ho chi Minh complex, West lake, pagodas, temples, catheral and enjoyed bun doc(for vegetarians) and the delicious egg drop coffee.
Michael was a super friend tour guide with all the right recommendations, city stops, and info. With only a day left in Hanoi, I was able to get the quick download of the city and get all my burning questions answered.
This trip was amazing, you see done things you not would see if you just walk or took the sightseeingbus, it was some not touristet place’s you see, i will like to recommended This Trip!!
We went with Koris to a 2 hours tour and it was great! He was really nice and took us to special beautiful pleces. Really nice!
Very nice ride around the city, they picked me up in front of my hostel and I had a great time! I recommend! Thank you!
We did the city tour and this is surely the best way to see Hanoi! We were picked up by Michael and drivers who were so friendly and polite. They took great care of us through frantic traffic. The tour is greatly well organized and the drivers are very nice and experienced.
We enjoyed Chris’ knowledge and fun personality. He was really fun and took us to many places we loved!
Start from our hotel we drive in the hustle and bustle of Hanoi motorbike traffic, cruise down narrow alleys, and markets, venture down the oldest bridge in Hanoi to the Banana farms. We loved the tour, all the local sights visited and would strongly recommend this trip to all others!
Today we did the motorbike tour with this company, and it was great. The tour guides are young and enthusiastic and they have a lot of knowledge about the city and its sights. We we're taken to places we would have no way to find it ourselves without their help. Guide spoke great English and enthusiastic. Never felt unsafe or worry about the traffic as they are skilled drivers. Would definitely recommend!
I took a tour with a friend I made at the hostel. Mark and Hue were our drivers. Helmets were provided and I felt very safe with the ride. We saw the railway neighborhood, which was a very unique and interesting area. Next they took us to see the biggest lake in the city and pointed out the area where John McCain parachuted into the lake, which I probably wouldn’t have seen if they didn’t show us! After that we explored a really great farming area in the middle of Hanoi - so cool and unique! Then we stopped at the oldest bridge in Hanoi, the only one where drivers go on the left side of the road instead of the right. Finally we stopped for egg coffee. Mark was full of really good information about each place so we really could understand what we were seeing in each place. I can’t recomment this service enough. Friendly, safe, unique, informative, and fun. I definitely recommend!
We contacted you through the Opera House pickup and chat app to experience a comfortable pickup. The Jeep Tour experienced in Hanoi is accompanied by a very friendly and nice guide and a very handsome driver. A comfortable and comfortable way out of Hanoi became a great opportunity to hear and understand the history of the real Vietnamese. With Jeep, I was very satisfied that I was able to take off-road sensational photos with a drum. Thanks to a friend from Hanoi who guided me today~^^ Today is a day without laughter.
The trip with Hoa was a real highlight of our Hanoi stay. Friendly, open-minded, familiar and at the same time incredibly interesting and insightful. Hoa has enriched the many great impressions with a lot of background knowledge and thus made the trip a truly successful all-round experience!
A truly extraordinary tour. Summi and Khang were very nice and helpful tour guides who explained everything in detail and also answered many questions. Also the lunch, was not only very interesting, but also really delicious. Would definitely book again!
I arrived in Hanoi for two weeks and went to a travel agency and applied for a motorcycle tour. I think the price was $5,000. Guided cris and motorcycle tour. I was worried that I couldn't speak English, but I understood everything because I spoke too well. I don't have a single real English TOEIC score of 500, but I can easily understand it. Because there was a place I wanted to go, and I asked him first, and he didn't, Hanoi took me all over here. I went to a lot of places I couldn't travel alone, and I explained it in English. I was familiar with Vietnamese culture and life.
The tour is really well organized. For a short stay in Hanoi just great. You can see the main spots here in no time. In addition, the guys are very friendly and give you some tips and must dos on the way. With the moped you also get the right feeling and is in the middle of the action.
