We had a very good time with the Hanoi Countryside by Legend Jeep Tour! It was an excellent experience, we learned so much about the culture, history, and local life while also truly enjoying every part of the tour. A special thanks to our tour guide, Sang, for making the experience even more memorable. He was very accommodating, respectful, knowledgeable, and fun throughout the entire tour. He explained everything clearly, answered our questions patiently, and made us feel comfortable the whole time. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hanoi and wanting a unique and enjoyable countryside experience!

Itinerary
Agriculture is a crucial part of Vietnam's economy, and to experience the rural lifestyle, we journey from Hanoi to an 800-year-old village. Along the way, we visit a stunning bonsai garden to appreciate this intricate art and witness the beautiful plant creations. In addition, we meet a local family residing in a traditional Vietnamese house that's 200 years old, and have the opportunity to chat with them while enjoying some candy and tea, with our guide assisting as a translator.
As we continue our journey, we'll traverse the serene farming area of Red River Island with its lush banana and vegetable fields. We'll venture off the main path, onto a dirt road that leads us through stunning green rice paddies. Our next stop is the Co Loa citadel temple, a historical site with breathtaking scenery that dates back to 300 BC. This location holds significance in Vietnam's history as it is associated with the legend of setting up and protecting the country from foreign invaders under the reign of Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong. During the trip, we'll have several opportunities to stop and capture photos of the locals at work on their farms amidst the beautiful surroundings.
The conclusion of our adventure takes place at a local restaurant in town where we can sample authentic Vietnamese cuisine and indulge in the local specialty of egg coffee before being dropped off at your hotel.
Continue we ride to the countryside along the Red River’s banks to take in the stunning beauty of Vietnam’s countryside and see farmers cultivating their lands. We’ll make a visit to a local family making bonsai to learn about this intricate art form and admire some of the stunning plant creations
After that we will visit Hoi Phu village, which is well-known for producing broomsticks, a popular traditional craft in the Red River delta. Guests will observe talented broom makers as they create functional and beautiful broomsticks out of broom grass.

Visit outside Ha Noi gave us new perspectives with regards to Vietnam and its people.Emma, our sympathetic and sensible guide, gave us very interesting facts about the culture, legends and history. We liked the people she had us met. Interesting to know about broom fabrication and about the veteran's family history. Wonderful bonsais. Another point of view so we could know more and better about vietnamese people. Pace is great, length is great and Kim drived us safely through it. Stops at the pound and the lunch were great. Take the tour, you won't regret

Brian is so knowledgeable and an expert in Hanoi. He was very friendly and answered all our questions. He brought us to the rice fields, coffee place and a traditional house. We enjoyed meeting the local. We finished off with an amazing local pho restaurant. We highly recommend him.
Ky and Emma were wonderful hosts, very fun, welcoming and informative. It was just me on the tour and I had a great afternoon escaping the city driving through rice patties. Very interesting seeing the broom makers village. Unique meeting the former soldier his impressive bansai collection. Loved it!
Brilliant morning exploring the neighbouring villages just beyond Hanoi. Tour guide Summi and our driver Kai were fantastic, made the entire experience engaging, energetic and so much fun! Cannot recommend any higher!!!
A great experience touring the more rural side of the Hanoi outskirts. Authentic food and an open top trip in a UAZ. Our guide Happy was delighted to answer our questions and made every effort to help us enjoy the afternoon.
We did an afternoon trip into a country village outside of Hanoi. Our tour guide Happy, was full of knowledge, humour and great conversation. We ate great local food, were shown around rice fields, and learnt about local culture and village history. Happy took us to meet a local gentleman and his wife who were in their 80's, who served us tea and we got to ask them questions about their lives which Happy translated for us. This tour was a special highlight of our trip to Hanoi, and Happy was a fantastic guide who we recommend highly.
We recently did a tour with Summi and Kai. They were both fantastic! We enjoyed all the stops and Summi’s knowledge of the local area and history was incredible. Would recommend for anyone looking for a way to see different parts of Vietnamese culture, quickly.

Summi has studied tourism for 4 years. What a gem for the company to have. I definitely recommend this tour to everyone. It even had coffee and lunch included!
We were so lucky to have Sammi as our tour guide. She was so friendly and shared a lot of information with us. We only wish we had time to do other tours with her.
Had a wonderful time with a great guide and driver. Nice to see some outer areas of the city in more detail, with good variety and the guides answered all our questions and asked if we wanted to do anything specific so it was very well worth doing
Had a great morning with Simone and our driver, highlight being the visit to a private home and enjoying a tea and homemade rice wine, not just one, we had a very persistent host and we couldn’t refuse. We finished our tour with an enjoyable lunch at a local restaurant.
Hoa and Viet Anh we had a wonderful jeep tour where the highlight was seeing the old man with his bonsai…. Hoa was very fluent in English and so easy to understand. We enjoyed our trip so much that we asked for Hoa again today to do the Vespa food tour

Summi our tour guide was friendly, and knowledgeable. We had a fun and educational trip visiting the Citadel, broom factory and a teacher's home where we learned about his bonsai trees. The jeep ride added an extra layer of adventure.
We had a great time with Summi. She took time to tell us about the culture and history of each destination. Our 2 year old girl had lots of fun but felt asleep at lunch. Summi kindly carried her while we had our delicious bun cha. Thank you so much!

From booking this tour to the end of this tour the service was outstanding. Bill our tour guide was such a wealth of knowledge about Vietnam, what made it more valuable to me that he was such a genuine person. Bill is such an asset to your company and I am extremely lucky to have met him on our trip to Vietnam. This tour was the highlight of my holiday 🙏
Loved the experience of this tour of Hanoi countryside and soaking in the life of the local community. Being Vegan, our tour began with a fantastic vegan buffet at a local restaurant where we were spoilt for choice. Our tour guide Chris explained the tour itinerary there and also cultural elements of Vietnamese life. We then went across the Long Bien bridge to a village where we met with a local family whose business is to make brooms. Then follower a tour through the scenic paddy fields and soaking in the history of an old temple. The best was next but won’t reveal it yet. We also got a lively souvenir! If you want to get a slice of Vietnamese life beyond the touristy part, this tour is a must do. Cannot recommend Chris and his team enough.
Great scenery and places of interest with detailed explanation by the tour guide Hoa ! Wonderful n experienced riders !
We did a city tour and countryside tour. My guide and rider were all very attentive, caring and helpful. I am a vegetarian so they ensure my needs are taken care of. I enjoy my trips with them very much. And would give them a five stars
We’ve now done two tours with the same company, this time with the boys on Vespas and we were not disappointed. Both treated us like family, their knowledge and explanations made for a very memorable day. Great food, fabulous tour guides and terrific memories. Thanks boys, well done.
We wanted to see another side of Hanoi, and this tour delivered. Our superb guides/drivers, Tea and Bean, took us on an amazing tour through Hanoi to the surrounding countryside, showing us areas that we never could have seen on our own. They were super friendly and knowledgeable. And they were excellent drivers, making us feel safe on the scooters (in a city with admittedly intimidating traffic!). To cap it off, the tour included an unexpectedly incredible meal and some delicious egg coffee. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see another side of the city!
We did the the Hanoi countryside Vespa tour yesterday as a group of 4 and it was amazing! Our guide Ninh spoke excellent English and was very informative he provided interesting information along the way. The 3 other lads Huy, Thai and Son were lovely and so polite and could not have looked after us any better. They were all very good drivers and made us all feel very safe in the madness of the traffic in Hanoi. Ninh was very knowledgeable, providing insights into the history and current changes in Vietnam. The trip into the countryside is only a short drive and gives a different perspective from Hanoi. The lunch was also great - they took us to a village known to locals but not to tourists and then to Co La temple which is a must see. They also took us to the home of a local couple where we had tea and biscuits This is a must do tour and one of the highlights of our trip so far. 5 stars to this company. Thank you guys John chris Jean and Debbie
This was a great way to get out of Hanoi, Both Chris and Ninh our guides and drivers were absolutley fantastic. Their knowledge about the country and places we visited was 10/10. Their care factor was 20/10. This tour made out Hanoi visit, the visit to an elders place and sharing tea was beautiful and being able to wander through his garden and learn about Bonsi was fabulous. Lunch was great and the egg coffee omg mouth watering. If in Hanoi and wanting to get out of the hustle and bustle then take this tour, you will not be dissapointed at all.,

My wife and I took the afternoon Countryside ride and it was a nice way to spend the after. our guide T and co were very friendly and T was very knowledgeable about Hanoi, the surrounding area and history. Getting around Hanoi on a Vespa was great fun and to see the fields and small towns/villages around the big city was well worth it.

Very happy to have found this experience! Be part of the craziness and jump on the back of a Vespa. Fine balance between city and rural. Our guide Michael shared very interesting info, both historical and modern facts. English very well. Rice paddies, temples galore. Tasted plum juice, home grown quavas, lunch was great and ended with an egg coffee. This is a MUST DO!
Our tour guide Michael and his two drivers did an awesome job taking us through the countryside of Hanoi! He knows his facts and is a very interesting guide to listen too. Highly reccommended!
Absolutely recommended! The air was fresher in the countryside and meeting the locals gave a glimpse to Vietnamese life. The wind blowing in your face is an added bonus! The tour guide, Tiang, was knowledgeable. Riders very safe.
This half day Vespa tour to countryside is a great way to see the outskirts of Hanoi. We saw rice fields, met a friendly veteran, visited 2 Temples. We did the the Hanoi countryside Vespa tour as a group of 5 women and it was amazing! The guides spoke excellent English and provided interesting information along the way. The tour is exceptional. The guides are knowledgeable, providing insights into the history and current changes in Vietnam. The trip into the countryside is only a short drive and gives a different perspective from Hanoi. The lunch was also great - they took us to a place known to locals but not to tourists. This is a must do tour. 5 stars to this company.
This tour is the possibility to see more than the touristic hanoi city. You go to some special places which show u something of the real life in hanoi. The Guides are really nice and informativ.
Was a great tour to the countryside of Hanoi. No tourists around and you got to know the traditional festival for new year. The pagoda & temples were really interesting and we got to know a lot of the history of Vietnam. Our guide and drivers were really helpful, open& friendly :) I personally enjoyed the most the visit of a family. We got tea and special sweets. All in all it was an unforgettable tour, thank you very much.
Today we took the jeep to the Co Lao Villages. We were picked up by our Guide Chris at our hotel. This was the start of a wonderfully relaxing afternoon. After we first had lunch at a local restaurant Chris took us to the small villages north of Hanoi. There we first visited a small workshop where they still made brooms by hand. Then we drove through the rice fields, visited a temple and drank tea with a couple in a village. The man of the house proudly told us about his heritage and showed us his beautiful garden with Bonsai. After this the afternoon was almost over. Finally enjoyed a delicious drink in Hanoi. Thanks for the nice day Chris. We enjoyed your stories and humor. Highly recommended this trip!!!
