Hanoi Guided Street Food Tour Small Group

Our tour guide Chip was awesome, she shared so many details about Hanoi and Vietnam that was great to learn about the dishes we ate. You can really tell how passionate she is about the food and making sure everyone has a great time. I honestly wouldn’t recommend any one other than Chip! Only thing we wish we did different was do the tour guide on our first night because we would have gone back to all those places over and over again! 10/10

Our food tour with Chip was an amazing experience! She brought us to all the spots she and her family eat at and I felt I was getting the true Vietnamese food experience I had been missing throughout my entire trip. She taught us how to correctly eat foods and a bit about the history of food and culture in Hanoi and Vietnam. Would highly recommended to anyone visiting Hanoi, I wish I did this earlier in my trip so I’d have time to go back to all the places! Thank you so much!

Chip is the perfect food guide for people who want to eat how a local does. She took us to places that have known her since she was a child and the food was incredible. She is so helpful and knowledgeable about the city it was amazing to hang out with her. She also helped us with any questions we had about Hanoi and gave us many recommendations for the rest of our trip. I cannot recommend this enough. Make sure you come hungry because there is plenty of amazing food to be taught how to eat properly.

Amazing tour with Hà— we highly recommend her. What professionalism! She gave us excellent explanations about the different local dishes of Hanoi versus the rest of the country. A street food tour with Emily was an absolute pleasure! She was everything we expected: kind, knowledgable about the food and the culture, and she quickly adjusted the details so we would have the best possible experience. It felt like restaurant hopping with a local friend. And all the places were non-touristy authentic places – precisely the food tour we wanted!

We enjoyed this foodtour with our tourguide Ha very much! Not only did we experience some very good and local Vietnamese food, our guide was also very open to share reflections about Vietnamese culture and food. She easily adjusted the tour for us considering allergies (celiac/gluten) and gave us different options so we could try the food we wanted. All the places she brought us was very authentic and local with delicious food and good portions- as a proper food tour should be. We had a great time and will highly reccomend this tour with Ha! (We also very much a appreciate that she didn’t push us to write this recommendation, as we often have experienced in other cases in Vietnam) ;)

I had a tour with guide Ha. A very skilled, cheerful, and smiling guide. You really couldn’t wish for a better experience with this young lady. She has a lot of knowledge about Vietnamese cuisine and knows how to find the hidden gems in the Old Quarter. We ate delicious food at six different places, super local! You would never be able to find these spots on your own. No rush at all; she takes her time. She also tells you a lot about beautiful places in Vietnam. In short: ask for Ha.

Chip gave us a great experience of the local foods. We tried everything and more we hoped for. It was accommodated to pescatarian which was great. We had wonderful talks, and Chip was very helpful and personal. So happy we did this, and had a chance to meet Chip!

We had a brilliant time on this street food tour in Hanoi. Our guide, Chip, was great company and clearly knew the Old Quarter well. She took us to a mix of tiny local places that we’d never have spotted on our own. Most were family-run and felt really genuine, and places where her family often eat, which made it feel even more personal. The group size was perfect. There were only four of us including, so it felt relaxed and easy to chat without getting lost in a crowd. Chip also shared loads of helpful tips along the way, like what signs to look for when choosing a good street food place and which things to avoid. It felt like proper insider advice rather than the usual tourist stuff. Overall it was one of our highlights in Hanoi. Great food, great atmosphere, and a guide who clearly cares about showing people the best of the city. Would definitely recommend.

Ha gave us such an amazing detailed tour around Hanoi where we got to try a biiig variety of food items. Would definitely suggest to do this tour at the beginning of your stay. She gave so many good tips and knew an answer to all of our questions. It was a great immersive experience I would give it a 10/10

She shared fun, down-to-earth insights about the food, the neighborhoods, and everyday life in Hanoi, always with a smile and a good sense of humor. Her knowledge is impressive, but she never shows off — she just explains things in a clear, relaxed, genuinely engaging way. The whole experience was laid-back, tasty, and surprisingly insightful. If you want to see Hanoi from a more authentic angle, with someone who truly cares about the city and its stories, this tour is a great choice. Warm, fun, and absolutely worth it. We did our tour with chip. She was really nice und showed us a lot of good food spots. Everything was so delicious. We were vegetarian, and Chip always organized it for us, to get a vegetarian alternative. I would truly recommend this tour, especially with Chip!
