Hanoi City Tour Highlight, Train Street Combine Visit Countryside

The experience was good and the guide was on time. I would recommend the tour to families who are looking for a private tour experience to know Hanoi closer.

Mike picked us up at our hotel and gave us a smooth, professional, and fun tour around the streets of Hanoi. He and our driver were both amazing. We hadn’t been to Train Street or Banana Island, which are worth calling out. Train Street is mostly there for the experience of being inches from a train passing by, where tourists on board were looking at us looking at them. Banana Island is a fascinating story of rural integration into the city. Bring bug spray. Also, make sure you save room for food! The tour involves stopping at a restaurant for some classic pho. Our agency scheduled our trip for mid-afternoon, which is when Hanoi traffic really starts to pick up. Hanoi Jeep Adventures accommodated our request and Mike handled the traffic and shift in schedule very smoothly.

We had a great time with our wonderful guide, Hazel on our jeep tour. She started us off with a delicious meal of “Obama noodles” (bun cha) at local restaurant Góc Bếp Hà Thành. Then we went off to a banana farm and learned about Happy Water. Later we visited the Tran Quoc Pagoda. Hazel was very accommodating - she cared about our enjoyment at every step along the way. She walked out of the way so we could see things we wanted to see. Her energy and humor made the day a real treat. We highly recommend her.

Overall experience was incredible! Joey our tour guide was very friendly and funny, he was very personable and had such wide variety of knowledge. The combination tour was really good because we saw the parts of the Hanoi City but also saw the more rural areas which we would not have otherwise ventured out to, so we really enjoyed that.

Great tour and lovely tour guide and driver. Very good value for money. Starting with coffee on the morning, seeing the countryside, then to the temple, B52 aircraft wreckage, and the art gallery. Finished with lunch. Highly recommend :)

What a fantastic experience with Lee our driver and Charlie our guide. From pickup at hotel to drop-off it was all a seamless experience. Lee showed his skills well driving through the very busy and narrow Vietnamese streets safely. We visited everything on my list and had a very informative, fun and engaging time spent with Charlie. A fantastic and warm character and a great conversationalist. The train visit was everything I wanted. The banana island was a very special and humbling experience. I'd happily recommend this tour. Seats were comfortable and we had a roof to protect from the sun.

A great way to see Hanoi and experience the city from a different perspective! The Jeep tour suited our family of five perfectly, particularly with three young children. It was a fun and convenient way to explore different parts of the city and countryside, take in the sights and experience the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. The only part that didn’t quite suit our family was the stop at the high-end silk and jewellery store, particularly with a hot and overtired two-year-old! Perhaps a discussion beforehand about swapping this stop for something more family-friendly would have made the experience even better. Overall, a great tour and one we’d happily recommend!

Disappointed. Jeep arrived late due to mechanical issue. Went immediately to lunch. We had just eaten as meal was not stated thus we felt we lost 45 minutes of tour. The mausoleum was closed. The jeep failed to return at banana farm. Had to wait another 45minutes to get “new” one. Very hot waiting!! Guide was very apologetic and friendly. Don’t think I can recommend.

We had a fantastic tour with our guide Joey and our driver Tomato. Joey was animated, knowledgeable and informative, with an upbeat personality that made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. He took us to sights and places we would never have found ourselves, including a local farm and a silk shop. Along the way, he shared fascinating insights into Vietnam’s history and local culture, bringing the places we visited to life. Having had more than four guides during our travels in Vietnam, Joey’s English was among the best we experienced. He was easy to understand and happy to answer our questions. We also really appreciated his interest in our own experiences, which made the conversation feel natural and personal. Thank you, Joey, for such a memorable outing. We would highly recommend Hanoi Jeep Adventures, especially with Joey as your guide!

Nice tour suitable fir family with kids , tour guide very t, speak good English, no rushing and will informed, the only thing that i didn’t really like is the restaurant, it could be better but the food was delicious not bad . I would highly recommend this tour for new visitors

Memorable part was visiting the banana island, it took us into a different place that’s not in a city area. Price was worth it! Learned a lot from our guide! Both driver and our guide were really nice and friendly. It was a chill tour and we all loved it! The length was a good amount of time.

Our guide Mike was excellent. He was familiar with both the ancient history and more recent history of Vietnam. We got off the beaten path and were, at times, the only foreigners in the area. As a student of economics, Mike was able to share keen observations that expanded my knowledge of this beautiful country. The Soviet jeep we rode in was an awesome touch as well 👌

I do not write reviews very often but i have to say the trip was so fun and such a different experience experience that i must implore that other undertaker the pursuit. The service was amazing and the experiences were varied and interesting. Tim our host was a top guy and is now a good friend. We had a fabulous experience on this tour . Our guide was knowledgeable and spoke great English. The food for lunch was great too and going off the beaten track was so interesting . Couldn’t fault the tour.

We did the Hanoi City Tour Highlight, Train Street + Countryside Jeep Tour with Charlie in September 2026 and it was EXCELLENT - 5 stars all around! Charlie was such a fantastic guide - super friendly, knowledgeable, & thoughtful. He messaged us before the tour to confirm pickup (driver came to pick us up) & even reminded us about the temple dress code & to bring a scarf, which we really appreciated. The tour itself was the perfect mix of city highlights, Train Street, & countryside - we got to see a side of Hanoi you would never find on your own. The jeep experience is so fun & a great way to get around. Great value for money, smooth pickup/meeting, & an amazing guide. We went as a couple and had the best time. Highly recommend asking for Charlie if you book w/ Hanoi Jeep Adventures!! 🇻🇳

We have just had a fabulous morning with Kim and Happy. Kim was very knowledgeable and socially engaging and Happy negotiated the traffic with ease. I am slightly disabled and find walking a bit difficult but Kim made the morning easy for me. We loved the visit to the banana farm as a contrast to the city. Highly recommend. Karen and Fergus
