Always try to book a street food tour when arrive in a new place. Guide was super friendly, helpful and attentive. Took us to places probably wouldn't have visited explaining all the dishes. She even answered any questions asked about culture and traditions too. Small group as promised who were friendly and fun. Highly recommended!!

I had an amazing food tour in Hanoi and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. We really enjoyed our Eat Like a Local street food tour with Emily and would definitely recommend it to everyone! Emily was a brilliant guide and we learnt so much about Vietnamese culture and Hanoi street food. I am vegetarian but my husband isn’t, so Emily tailored the tour so that we could both eat well and even try dishes together where possible (for example by selecting dishes that had both a meat and veggie equivalent). We got to try lots of local specialities and seasonal foods, and were completely full by the end of the tour! We had a brilliant food tour with Emily. She was open, friendly and genuine. In just a few hours, she taught us tonnes about the Hanoi food scene and Vietnamese culture, and we could tell she really believed in and stood by the places she took us. Great food tour around the Old Quarter with Emily. She showed us dry pho (my new favorite dish) which I would probably not have discovered on my own, along with several other tasty items, including a dessert shop with coconut ice cream and pandan sticky rice (yum). Very worth it if you are in Hanoi.

We booked a small tour (max 8 people) with Emily (she speaks very good english) and ended up being only 2 and getting a private tour. She brought us to several places appreciated by locals but also based on her preferences to taste banh mi, shrimp donut, egg cocoa/coffee, pillow pastry, dry phó, summer/spring rolls to make yourself and coconut ice-cream with sticky rice (if anything is not compatible with your diet, please tell her and she will adjust the tour for you). She also gave us some additional information about Hanoi and Vietnam history from a local point of view. We highly recommend the tour with her if the occasion presents itself. Fantastic. Stalls you would never find, or pass without knowing their quality. And a great social discussing the history of Vietnamese food and the role it plays in the family. The best Banh Mi ever!
