⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 and If I could give more than 5 stars, I would :) If you’re a foreigner or a tourist looking for a tour guide in Hanoi, BOOK WITH HAI..Seriously, you will not regret it. As someone visiting Vietnam for the first time from Washington, this was my first tour experience EVER, so I honestly didn’t know what to expect. But WOW… Hai completely exceeded my expectations and gave me an experience I’ll never forget. I was only in Hanoi for 2 days, and my first day being started with this tour, I realized halfway though it that I probably wouldn’t have been able to see, experience, or learn about so many places if it weren’t for Hai. In such a short amount of time, he showed me so much of Hanoi that by the end, I felt like I had already seen a huge part of the city. One of the things I appreciated most about Hai is how genuine, friendly, patient, and approachable he is. He makes it so easy and comfortable to talk, ask questions, and just be yourself. He was always checking in to make sure I was okay, asking if I needed anything or wanted a break or refreshments, and if I needed something, he would make sure I was taken care of. He even bought us drinks along the way and continued checking if I needed anything during the ride.Those little things really showed me how much he genuinely cares about his guests. And let me tell you… the tour was NEVER boring 😅😂 Hai is seriously one of the funniest people! He has such a great sense of humor, and there was so much laughing throughout the entire experience. The ride and the tour felt so comfortable and fun because it wasn’t just someone taking me from one place to another..it felt like I was exploring Hanoi with someone who genuinely wanted me to have a great time. But beyond being funny and friendly, Hai really knows his stuff. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Hanoi and its history. While riding around, he explained the history behind different places, including stories going all the way back to wartime and much further into the past. What I loved was that he didn’t make it feel like I was sitting through a boring history lecture. He explained things in a simple, interesting, and easy to understand way, while still giving so much information. The things he taught me are definitely things I’ll be able to take home, talk about, and share with my family and friends. I also really trusted Hai’s recommendations. He was honest about which places were worth visiting, what to avoid, where to eat, where to get good coffee, which streets to check out, the best times to visit certain places, and so much more. He wasn’t just trying to take me to the typical tourist spots he genuinely wanted me to experience Hanoi. And that is probably one of my favorite things about this tour. Hai showed me the real Hanoi. Not just the pretty, picture-perfect tourist side, but the authentic local side too. I got to see and experience parts of Hanoi that I probably would have completely missed on my own. It made the experience feel much more genuine and memorable. Hai was also very respectful of my time. After we arrived at different stops, he would patiently let me walk around, take pictures, explore, and enjoy the place without making me feel rushed. We would simply agree on a meeting point and time, and then continue to the next stop. He was patient, organized, and made the whole day feel easy. Most importantly, I felt safe and comfortable with him. He was always aware of my surroundings and made sure I was okay, which meant a lot to me as a foreigner experiencing Hanoi for the first time. I genuinely feel lucky that I booked with Hai. I came to Hanoi not knowing what to expect, and I ended up having one of the best experiences of my entire trip because of him. I honestly don’t think I would have seen, learned, or experienced as much as I did in such a short amount of time without Hai. So if you’re visiting Hanoi for the first time, especially if you’re a foreigner and don’t know where to start, trust Hai. Let him show you around. You’ll get the history, the local experience, the recommendations, the laughs, the beautiful places, and even the parts of Hanoi you might not find on your own. This was my first tour experience anywhere, and honestly… Hai set the bar VERY high 😂 If every tour guide were like him, I’d want to book tours everywhere I travel. I’m so glad I decided to go on this tour and was fortunate enough to have Hai as our tour guide and Mr. Lucky as our driver. From the very beginning, Hai went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable. Before starting the tour, he made sure to ask if I had any questions or concerns not only about the places we were visiting but about anything in general. That level of care made the experience more enjoyable. Hai did an amazing job explaining the history and significance behind every stop, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex and the president’s contribution to Vietnam. I also learned so much while visiting Vietnam’s first university. It was interesting to learn about how the educational system and its structure were conducted back then. I enjoyed the entire experience, including the rides between each destination, where Hai continued to share interesting background information and stories. I visited many fascinating and surprisingly amazing places. My first experience in Hanoi has been wonderful, and this tour was a big part of that. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAI as your tour guide. We were met outside our accommodation by tour guide Anni and our lovely driver, An. Anni gave us a clear overview of what to expect from the afternoon and she did not disappoint! Everywhere we went she told us historical stories, facts, and pointed out buildings, structures and details that we would have never seen or noticed without her. We feel like we got a brilliant understanding of the city and it's history, loads of great photos and an unforgettable visit to train street - all in a jeep. Can't ask for more than that!

Jim’s English is very good and he happily answered as many questions as we threw him about his country. He did not seem to know or follow the tour itinerary so I wonder if he was filling in. The mausoleum was open but had long lines on a Saturday so he basically encouraged us to skip it all, without much explanation. He substituted the prison tour and walking around the free outside of the B52 display instead. We started with train street (coconut coffee is yum!) , then temple of literature, cursory stop at the Hoan Kiem bridge, basically nothing about the old quarter, minimal driveby explanation of French quarter. Tour ended 30 minutes early. I’m the kind of trip planner who chooses a tour based on the stated itinerary so I was disappointed by the lack of organization.

Our tour was quite informative and lovely, led by our guide Johnny, we were kept informed and energized throughout the tour with his friendly energy. Also we had the perfect amount of stops and getting on and off of the vehicle to not over exert and tire ourselves out in this heat. He was a great tour guide would highly recommend him! And the tour was great, loved seeing the train street.

We had a last minute booking as we didn’t want to walk around the city after a long trip and our guide was excellent. The driver did a great job and Hai was funny, engaging and helpful. We saw everything we wanted to and had a delicious meal too. Thoroughly recommend this Jeep trip!

Hai was our tour guide. I was part of his morning tour where we visited multiple sites such as Train Street and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. We ended the tour with some refreshing iced coffee. I recommend and appreciate Hai as a tour guide as he gave us historical and personal insights on not just Hanoi but Vietnam overall.

Hanoi Highlights and Hidden Gems Tour with the wonderful and engaging Johnny. Johnny provided us with some extremely interesting history and stories throughout the tour. We visited major sites such as the Temple of Literature and Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House and complex and Hanoi Train Street but also gained insights into how local people live. It was a delightful afternoon and we highly recommend it.

Spent our last day in Vietnam with Johnny on a tour of Hanoi and it was incredible! Johnny was amazing and made the experience perfect. I learnt so much about Hanoi through train street, the Temple of Literature and Ho Chi Minh’s residence. Next time we come back to Hanoi we will definitely book with these guys again!

We booked this tour very last minute but they couldn’t have been more accommodating. From the moment we made contact, Freddy was super helpful organising everything. Anni our host spoke excellent English and her knowledge of the Vietnamese culture and history was amazing. We found her to be very charismatic and funny. She even arranged a reservation for us at a cafe in train street later that evening which was not part of the itinerary. Amazing value for money!

We had a fantastic time with our guide, Johnny. Our group was a party of 7 including 4 year old twins and a 6 year old. We visited many notable attractions and also had time to stop for ice cream and later, delicious coffee at the cutest coffee shop. Johnny was informative and very accommodating with small children. We would highly recommend!

He explains all the details and background knowledge while visiting the different stops as well as getting very fast into the sights, showing the best photo points, organizing some drinks, and at the same time you learn about the culture, history and people. Johnny did an amazing job showing us all the sites in Hanoi. We had a wonderful time. Despite 100 degree weather it was very comfortable in the luxury van. He showed us everything important and made everything easy.

We took our 85 year old father on this family tour. It was perfect. We had a great mix of information, saw interesting sights, and had an excellent driver and limousine minibus. Our guide, Ryley, was absolutely amazing. She answered all our questions, was friendly and really lovely to deal with. The walking was manageable for our father. Would highly recommend this tour if in Hanoi.
