We had a fantastic Vespa tour with our guide, Shang, along with our two wonderful drivers, Minh Ba and Linh. A great experience—we highly recommend it!

Itinerary
When you meet our guide and drivers from Asia Vespa Tours at your hotel, you'll receive a safety briefing on how to ride on the Vespa and get on it easily and comfortably. Our guide will also teach you simple signals to use when necessary. Then, our tour guide will explain our itineraries in detail and ask for any special food requirements. Once everyone and everything is ready, it's time to hit the streets!
During the first stage of our Hanoi Vespa Tours, we will explore the iconic landmarks and lesser-known parts of the city, rich in culture and history. We'll cross the historic Long Bien Bridge and take a stroll along the 150-year-old train tracks to visit a local neighborhood where houses are built just 1 meter from the tracks. We'll also enjoy a glass of the national drink, Bia Hoi, before taking a short cruise to West Lake to enjoy the cool breeze.
During the second stage of our Hanoi Vespa Tours, we will take a ride through the farming villages along the Red River to immerse ourselves in the peaceful and colorful flower, vegetable, and banana plantations. This is a chance to experience different aspects of life and the harmonious contrast between city and rural life in Hanoi.
In the third stage of our Hanoi Vespa Tours, we navigate through the winding alleys to reach the Huu Tiep Lake. This lake is home to an aircraft that was shot down during the war in 1972 and still remains there today, in the middle of a peaceful residential area. We also have the opportunity to visit a local family and converse with the owner, who is a war veteran, to learn about his personal experiences and gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture and traditions from past to present.
Passing through the fascinating highlights such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, Ba Dinh square, Literature temple, Tran Quoc Temple , West Lake, Truc Bach Lake, Hoan Kiem Lake , Opera House…
The final stage of our Hanoi Vespa Tours takes us to local eateries and family-run businesses for lunch, where we can support the local community and savor authentic dishes that are popular with the locals. We'll also visit a special egg coffee cafe that has been around since 1946.

Our guide Hoa, and drivers Hieu and Minh were awesome. Weaving in and out of the traffic we felt very safe. Going out to the local food market and checking out the B-52 museum were fascinating and lunch was excellent. Would definitely recommend this trip to others. Hoa is knowledgeable and has very good English.
This was a truly exciting tour through the crowded streets at peak hour. We still felt so safe and si great in the evening. Summi and the boys were very experienced and safe to ride with. I would highly recommend this tour.
We had a great time on this tour, our drivers Tung and Thuong arrived on time and took us to a restaurant where our guide Hoa was waiting, after a delicious lunch we were off on the vespas to see the sights, Hoa was friendly, informative and fun to hang out with. We took lots of nice photos and learned about the history and culture of Hanoi.
We had a great time on this tour, our drivers Tung and Thuong arrived on time and took us for lunch where we met the guide Hoa, after a nice lunch we were off on the vespas driving carefully through the Hanoi traffic to see the sights. Train street is a must see if you are visiting Hanoi, we also visited some museums and temples and were dropped off at our hotel after the tour
After spending an evening with Summi and her team on a scooter street food tour, we decided to book a morning Vespa sightseeing tour as well. We were able to choose the places we visited, which included a local food market, riding through narrow back streets (which was so much fun), the B52 site, Hoa Lo Prison, and Banana Island. The tour also included a drink by the river on Banana Island and lunch at a local restaurant. Summi provided interesting information at every stop and was always happy to answer our questions. She is incredibly friendly and cheerful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We did a private family tour with 2 adults and 2 children (aged 13 and 15), and it suited us perfectly. Highly recommend.
Great experience! Well done to Strang, Ahn & Tom, so well carried out! Thanks guys.
Fanatic half day tour through Hanoi. These Vespas can go where other vehicles cannot go or choose not to go. You get to see Hanoi is real life. Our guide Emma was so genuine and so lovely. Our drivers, Kai and Sang, were so professional. All 3 our them gave us a wonderful experience and super memories. They all know so much about the city and we chatting with us as we biked around the city. We can highly recommend this tour. Big thank you to Emma, Kai and Sang.
Our guide, Shang, was an enthusiastic advocate for his country and its history and culture. We greatly appreciated his insights and perspectives. The Vespa drivers were excellent and within a couple of minutes we were comfortable weaving among the traffic — like water flowing. A great tour, stopping at a number of significant sites around Hanoi, including Train Street in time for the train: highly recommended.
We had the best time with Shang and his Collegue. He knows so much about Hanoi and he showed us secret Spots, where not every Tourist seems to see. Thank you for the great time. Gerne wieder 😊
Chris was a super great guide and so were the Vespa drivers! My brother and I learned so much about the history and current societal climate of Hanoi and Vietnam as a whole. We also had a great lunch trying a Vietnamese dish we had never tried before. Also the guides made sure it was very customizable for our tastes and interests. Can’t recommend enough!
We had great informative guides a real fun time on some old time scooters that made the experience even better.
Chris was a very knowledgeable guide and was great to chat to. It was a great way to see Hanoi when you want to experience a lot in a short time. Highly recommended.
Chris was a fabulous tour guide. The tour was exciting on the story of Hanoi and we went to the best places. Highlight was lunch with. He’s at the end at his favourite spot. Thanks Chris I will be recommending your trip to everyone
My guide Chris was punctual, very informative and a very safe driver. Chris highlighted the history of this beautiful city. His knowledge was impressive. His english was perfect. He was bright and engaging at all times.
We, 2 couples, enjoyed the private tour immensely. The initial correspondence was perfect. All our questions prior to the tour were answered. Pickup from the hotel was on time. The Vespa tour was incredibly fun and our tour guide Shang was amazing, other 3 drivers Tom, Hieu and Khang were wonderful as well. Shang spoke perfect English and shared wealth of very interesting information with . Even though the driving is very chaotic in Hanoi, we felt very safe. All 4 of us highly recommend the tour agency and are very happy with everything. Thank you so much
I did the half day tour on a scooter and had a very good guide, went to some good places and was very interesting to learn a little bit more about Vietnam.
Had a great day out on the Vespa with my guide Shang who did a wonderful job of showing me the sites of Hanoi. Very knowledgeable and knows his way around Hanoi. Highly recommended for those who want to see the real Hanoi. Thanks for a good day out. John
Arranged a private tour to collect from the cruise ship and stay overnight in Hanoi. Our tour guide (John) was excellent in looking after us over the two days and very informative with information. Highly recommend.
I highly recommend this tour in Hanoi. The team was fantastic! We had a very local experience, eating in a wonderful local restaurant, visiting the hightlights of the city and having a great experience. Summi, our guide, rocks!
It was a fantastic tour with Summi and her 2 drivers. We can highly recommend this tour. Wilfried anf Marlene Zihlmann from Switzerland.
Our trip with Chris was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about Hanoi. Lunch was great and we had so much fun on the vespas.
Chris was the absolute best! He those the most amazing restaurant for us to start at with lunch then brought us all around town with the best energy! I would highly recommend this tour to any visitors to Hanoi.
Chris & co were so amazing. We felt safe the entire time and it was so much fun. The best way to see the city. Chris was so great and able to answer all of our questions. 10000/10!!!
We chose the Vespa Food Tour of Hanoi street food as our last night in Hanoi and Vietnam. We could not recommend it more highly. Our guide, Chris, and his team were all fabulous and transported our family of six (ages 13 - 78) around safely to all the various sightseeing locations. Chris took us to an alternate location for the train street, different to the main Old Town train street where we had seen a single carriage train the day before. We were lucky enough to enjoy drinks and see two trains (15 carriages) on the tour. Not for the faint hearted! The trains are INCREDIBLY close… We were also treated to a delicious dinner and snacks along the way. Chris’s knowledge of Vietnams history and his personal reflections and humour added greatly to our experience. 10 stars 🌟 We would happily recommend this tour, and Chris & his drivers, to all those visiting Hanoi. Thank you Chris and his team, it’s a great way to see and experience your city.
The ride on the vespa was exhilarating! We had full confidence in our drivers but occasionally had to close our eyes in the horrendous traffic! Our guide, Chris, was so knowledgeable, passionate & informative and the places we were taken to were fabulous. Thanks guys for such a memorable Vespa Night Tour .
This was a wonderful way to see some significant Hanoi sights that you won’t get to on foot or without detailed planning. Hoa, Bao and Tung were the expert Vespa drivers that wheeled us round the city smoothly and safely - to a lunch (and a lesson on the correct way to eat rice flour puffs); Banana Island after the typhoon; Train street (the secret way); the opera house; the B52 museum and the oldest gate in Hanoi. Winding through streets small and wide was the best experience we had in Hanoi. Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable and lovely. THANK YOU!
Hoa, Viet Anh, Bao, Hieu and Tung . Great tour, will come back. recomend people who come to Hanoi just a sort amount of time
We booked a scooter tour through our hotel and had a wonderful time with our primary tour guide, Chris, and our other three great guides. Chris was very knowledgeable and showed us a fantastic time! Chris was also kind enough to send us additional suggestions for activities and restaurants in Hanoi. The evening tour has the benefit of experiencing the magic of Hanoi traffic during rush hour. The afternoon tour has the benefit of a couple more stop options, as some spots are closed in the evening. If you want to go inside museums or the Buddhist pagoda, go early in the day. If you want to experience more of a night life scene, go late in the day. Either way you'll be happy with the decision to book this tour of Hanoi's old quarter.
Drivers Shang and Bao were wonderful tour guides showing us so much of Hanoi whilst imparting interesting and very knowledgable facts about all the places we went to taking time to answer all our questions . They were professional , knowledgable , likeable , friendly and we felt in very safe hands . Definitely the Best way to see the city . What a wonderful afternoon . Could not recommend them more . Definitely a great experience in the best hands .
Highly interesting and exiting tour of Hanoi. The guides drove safely, and presented interesting information with excellent English pronunciation. Guides: Linh and Kin?
Chris was an amazing guide and a beautiful person all around. It was clear he loves his job and his aim is to make Hanoi visitors happy and to learn as much about the city and Vietnam as possible. One of the best tours I've ever done, I was sad when it came to an end but I was also leaving with a smile on my face. I will definitely do another tour with this company when back in Hanoi.
This was a fabulous way to see Hanoi! My guide, Chris, was a great driver and spoke excellent English. We started with lunch at the ‘Obama’ cafe then took in numerous sights around the city, ending with the memorable if slightly bonkers Train Street experience… it was great fun and an excellent way to see Hanoi. I’m going to book something similar in Ho Chi Minh City now!
Great trip and Tri (Chris) was a nice tour guide. Very flexible, accommodating, and most importantly very knowledgeable about the places of attraction. I had a nice time and would strongly recommend the Vespa tour.
What a fun afternoon exploring Hanoi by Vespa Our guides were so knowledgeable and most of all made the experience so much fun. I highly recommend booking this activity.
We meet Chris the Tour Guide and bis friendly drivers at the Meeting Point . After that our amazing Tour began and it was so awesome. Chris told us in detailed everything about Hanoi during the tour and he fulfilled every of our wishes. All of the drivers drove very safely. This Tour was definitely our highlight and we can just recommend it.
Amazing Vespa trip guide Chris showing around for hanoi city sightseeing. Exploring the city & hidden gems 😀😀😀. Food PHO was also good ( Customized as required)
It was an awesome afternoon on two old vespas zipping through the busy traffic of Hanoi. Especially crossing the red river bridges was amazing.
Would highly recommend this tour and our tour guide bill was Fantastic ,informative and fun to be with 😊😊 the jeep driver also fantastic and made us feel very safe If your thinking about this tour just do it .😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Had the best day. If you go get Bill. So informative and perfect English It’s been one of my high lights here. I really enjoyed it. Worth doing. I thought was a bit expensive but more than worth it.
A fantastic tour! I could not say enough positive things about the tour! As soon as I booked the private tour for my family of 6, Mike was already in touch with what to expect. Bill was an excellent tour guide... perfect English and even spoke Chinese to my parents. Our group of 6 ranged in age from 9 to 78, and they took care of us all, including my father who was more limited in his physical abilities. We never felt unsafe on the scooters. The tour was fun, informative, and also delicious! It was a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. They also accommodated our requests to stop off at a few extra stops for pictures, while still managing the time so that we got to train street with perfect timing and location for the train to whiz by. Bill also made recommendations for us on what to spend time doing after the tour, and dropped us off there at the end. All 6 of us, old and young, loved the tour. We are already thinking of coming back to Hanoi and booking more of their other tours!
Bill is very knowledgeable, personable, professional and a pleasant personality. Also a wonderful ambassador of Vietnam history and culture . Thanks for such a pleasurable tour. ☺️ Bin is a great driver and has a great sense of a humour. Mio is a great photographer.
Fantastic trip with vespa, very kind people and drive good. It,s a good experience with Bill. 100% recommended
Bill and his Riders were great, their driving skills were amazing, good explanations and perfect and interesting spots to see. Would recommend 100%
They took our entire family (my wife and 3 boys aged 14, 13 and 8) on an amazing tour of Hanoi. We got to experience the sights and sounds as locals would, on the back of a Vespa. The team was courteous, funny and safe! Definitely would recommend.
It was an amazing experience! From the early beginning the guide had a nice approach, was very clear about all the description and shows to have a great background!
Hung was an amazing guide who showed me a completely different side to Hanoi. He knows so much about the history of the area and is passionate about sharing his knowledge. We ate amazing food, drank coffee as the train went by on train road, and visited markets, pagodas, temples, lakes, and bridges with stunning views over the Red River and Banana Island. Highly recommend - this was the highlight of my time in beautiful Hanoi.
We booked the motor tour as a concluding activity on our last day. It was a nice experience getting to know the city in a different way than by foot. The driver was friendly and professional and gave us some background on different city highlights and stopped at some locations to tell us some more or to grab a coffee. Taking part in Hanoi traffic was exciting but not dangerous. The backseat is a comfortable and stable place to sit. I would recommend!
Great tour around Hanoi. Our guide Bill spoke excellent English and told us a lot of stories of the different places we visited. The drivers navigated the busy streets very well. Can recommended to anyone
I had the most amazing afternoon with Ninh. I was shown all around the city, took lots of fantastic photos, learnt about Ha Noi and had the most exciting near death by train experience. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. A must for a tourist in Ha Noi
