Our guide Cherry was highly knowledgeable and very sweet. She showed us around 7 different restaurants we would have never found on our own and explained each food excellently. The food was incredible and we would highly recommend Cherry to anyone looking for a food culture tour! Excellent value.

Restaurants were closed due to Tet holidays but our guide managed to find us alternatives and we also learnt about Vietnamese culture

My teenage son and I got to experience so many authentic Hanoi dishes in little alleys and taste dishes that we would never been able to find by ourselves. As we had already travelled for 6 weeks in Vietnam, we had tried all the well known dishes. So Cherry found us an amazing selection of Old Town restaurants and dishes that we hadn't tried before - all were fresh and delicious! Cherry has the inside knowledge and deep understanding of the local food scene and the street vendors. A must for all foodies that want an in-depth Hanoi food experience.

Wow, this tour was great! We learned so much this night, not only about alllll the different dishes Vietnam has to offer (and yes, it’s more than Banh Mi but it’s still so good), but Cherry also was the first person after travelling in Vietnam for 3 weeks, who told us something about the Vietnamese culture/way of living. The combination of it all made it a perfect tour for us! Would definitely recommend!!

Our friends did a food tour with Cherry when they were in Hanoi and they insisted we did too. Cherry exceeded our expectations- she is an absolute gem of a person, we all instantly adored her. Her English is excellent, she is incredibly knowledgeable about food and about Hanoi, we feel like we had a walking tour of the old quarter and a food tour- she took us places we never would have found on our own and everything we ate was incredible. She is engaging, warm and generous, everywhere she took us they clearly loved her as well, I couldn’t rate her more highly, an absolute must do if you are in Hanoi.

Cherry! You are absolutely amazing! The places are off the beaten track and not where tourists would think to go, the food was amazing. Honestly the best food we had in Hanoi and possibly Vietnam. I still dream about Bun Cha and have not been able to find it in Perth. Thank you Cherry for showing us where you went to school, where you grew up and the places that you eat. We have been living in Vietnam for a while, but we've done a few of these trips, especially when we have visitors, as they are an excellent way to see the Old Quarter and to try a range of different foods. This particular tour is no exception. From the start Cherry greeted us with a happy smile and told us what we would be doing, checking for allergies etc. first. We then visited a range of food stalls, which can be changed if you want to try something different. We were very happy with our bun cha, the banh mie, dry pho (I think) and a great session of beer and local rice wine at a local bia hoi, where Cherry taught us the traditional drinking toast in Vietnam ("Anh em oi!! Hai Ba etc.). The range of food is excellent and the choice of restaurant is outstanding. The final deserts were excellent as well. Be warned - don't eat too much at the first place, as you're going to have plenty of food available. I cannot recommend this tour and in particular, Cherry, enough. It's a great experience and will teach you about some of the culture of Vietnam.

Cherry is a fantastic guide -very patient and incredibly knowledgeable about Hanoi and its people. She picked me up at my hotel, and we walked to several spots where we enjoyed delicious street food. I had just arrived in Vietnam that same day around noon and hadn't eaten properly in hours due to the flight. I took the evening tour, and all the food we tried was both tasty and satisfying. Her English is excellent, which made her explanations clear and informative. I'd definitely take the tour again the next time I'm in Hanoi -just for the pleasure of seeing her again and discovering more great places.

We went on Cherry’s street food tour on our first day in Hanoi. It was a wonderful experience because of three reasons: 1) Cherry is a delightful person, 2) she showed us some of the “back roads” of Hanoi which, while having nothing to do with food, was an unexpected benefit and 3) she took us to several food vendors whose food was quite tasty. We recommend that you too take this 2 hour tour.

Outside of giving background and context on the different foods we ate, she also had great recommendations for the rest of my trip in Vietnam. If you’re visiting Hanoi, do this tour on your first day! The city is exciting but can feel a bit chaotic at first, and this food tour is the perfect introduction. It helped us ease into the rhythm of the city while experiencing some of the best local cuisine. Our guide, Cherry, was fantastic. She picked us up right from our hotel and took us to authentic, local spots we would never have found on our own. She was incredibly friendly, full of energy, and shared so much interesting information about Vietnamese food and culture throughout the tour. We tasted a wide variety of traditional dishes—each one better than the last—and at the end, Cherry even sent us a list of everything we ate and where we ate it. That was so helpful, as we were able to go back to some of our favorite spots later in the trip. By the end of the tour, we felt more confident exploring Hanoi and had a much deeper appreciation for the local food scene. This tour was a highlight of our trip and truly made us feel connected to the city. Highly recommend—5 stars for Cherry and her incredible service!

I can't recommend Cherry's food tour enough! She took us to so many local hidden gems that we would never have found on our own. The pho at that tiny family-run eatery was the best I've ever tasted, and Cherry's knowledge about each dish's history made the experience even more special. We ventured down narrow alleys and backstreets to find authentic treasures of Vietnamese cuisine. A must-do when in Hanoi!
