Had to chase them the night before but today was fine. He knows the way and dodge the traffic by going the side roads

This company was 14 minutes late in picking us up. Traffic conditions can never be a valid excuse. When you run a business for a while, you should know and anticipate possible traffic delays. Always be professional and on time.

I wanted to get to the airport earlier than scheduled. I texted the operator 12 hours early and never received any reply. Viator couldn't get in touch with them. I am not sure this is a legitimate business. I couldn't take the chance that I would get stranded and miss my flight home. So I just booked a Grab car and got an immediate reply. I got to the airport. If Viator doesn't refund me, then they are not worth doing business with in the future. Any legitimate transportation operator should reply to your text in a reasonable time. Not replying at all is totally unacceptable.

Driver arrived late which was obviously not ideal. He drove silently and didn't say a word to me from start to finish, not even to explain why he was late. A Grab taxi would have been just as good.

After nearly falling for a scammer who picked up my suitcase and was leading me to his car when I arrived in Hanoi, I was sceptical of this driver who did not speak a word of English. He had put my suitcases in the boot, ushered me to the rear seat and drove off. I did not know whether he was my driver or not due to the language barrier. After he weaved in and out of traffic and if a driver was going too slow for his liking, he would overtake and then cut that driver off and slam on his brakes. I spent the whole trip unsure of where he was taking me and symbolically repeatedly putting my foot on the brake. Soooo relieved when he pulled up at the airport. Definitely prebook an airport transfer but not with this company.

I called Hanoi VIP Transfer to confirm our scheduled pick-up for the airport at 15h30 of the same day. The person answered the phone was very rude and aggressive in telling me it was too early and I should have called later in the day. Their business was open at 6h00, and I called at approximately 6h20. We argued about the timing of the call more than about the reason for the call , which was to confirm the pick-up because I had not heard anything from them for the pick-up that afternoon. It was a horrible experience with this amateurish operator. I prepaid them through Agoda.com so I could not get refund. I ended up booking with another operator since I did not have the confidence that Hanoi VIP (laughable) would pick me up on time, if at all!

Grab service was unavailable after the super Typhoon. The grab app said "no drivers available" So we tried booking the airport drop off service through viator. The in a nice big clean SUV, so we made our flight when the airport reopened after the Super Typhoon. We were so relieved. He drove us around downed trees and got us to the airport safely and on time. We highly recommend this service.

I highly recommend this service. The driver was professional - on time and very polite. The drive was smooth and I felt safe despite the crazy roads in Hanoi. Zero honks from my driver the entire ride. I got to the airport promptly with no drama at all. My only complaint would be some sort of notice of the driver and car before the trip. I had to message the service who let me know the driver was there, but was parked on the side and due to some communication issues with the hotel staff I didn't realize was there. We both waited around for 10 minutes for no fault of our own.
