We had an incredible stay on the Anthena cruise ship. The staff, in particular Lily and Tonny were welcoming, professional and fun. Everything ran smoothly from pick up, organised activities, meals and general service. The rooms were large, the meals were extremely generous, you could never go hungry and the amenities were clean. Activities included a walk through caves, a beach visit and Kayaking through caves was a high light - watching the monkeys in their natural habitat was fascinating. Couldn’t have asked for more. Would absolutely recommend including this cruise in your Vietnam holiday.

Its was a great experience. Staff was friendly. Especially Ms. Lily. She went beyond her duties to keep us company and help us understand the culture. Enjoyed the painting session in the cruise as well.

We had a wonderful experience on the Athena Cruise and would highly recommend it, especially for families with children. The cruise was very child-friendly, and the entire experience was comfortable and enjoyable for our family. The staff were genuinely hospitable, friendly, and helpful, always welcoming us with a positive attitude and a smile. The food was very good, with a nice variety and good quality throughout the experience. What impressed us most was the attitude of the staff. They were attentive, polite, and always willing to help whenever we needed anything. Overall, Athena Cruise offered an excellent experience and very good value for money. If you’re looking for a family-friendly cruise with good food and great hospitality, I would definitely recommend Athena Cruise.

This was the second time I've taken the Athena Cruise Ha Long Bay 2 days/1 night cruise. The crew on this boat is fantastic. Gin, the Manager, is warm, friendly and kind. Our guide, Michael, was also very good. Unfortunately, our trip was somewhat marred by raucous fellow Australians who shouted the whole time during meals - and I don't mean just spoke loudly! I felt sorry for the Vietnamese families who were quietly eating their meals. Gin kindly organised for us to have dinner in our room, which was lovely. We sat by the window, enjoying the view while we ate the delicious and plentiful meal. My advice is to try to organise a room on the lower level so that you don't hear chairs dragging along the deck. I would do this cruise a third time. The scenery is fantastic. The boat was lovely.

Nice boat trip to beautiful islands. Nice rooms, good food, friendly crew. Kayak trip was great, "Secret cave" was nice too, but a bit crowded. I recommend this trip. Thank you Tony!

Took the Athena Royal Cruise. Firstly the boat, the staff (particularly Kevin in the Resturant), the rooms, the food and service was all 5 star. Excellent and couldn't fault it. Activities were fun, but be prepared for crowds, its certainly not relaxed, queues everywhere and it was packed full of other cruise passengers. Disappointing part was that this is not a 'Cruise'. We travelled maybe an hour out of the harbour to a sheltered spot and stopped. That was it. Spent the rest of the time there taking the tender out to the activities. I found this part really disappointing considering it was advertised as a cruise. Did look like this was the norm though as many other boats did the same thing. Overall we did enjoy our selves, probably wouldn't do it again though.

We sailed on a 1-night Athena Cruise on 27th December as a family of four, including my son who is mildly autistic. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Cruise Manager, Ha, and the Restaurant Manager, Kevin, for their exceptional care, empathy and professionalism. They, along with their entire team, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable, and we felt genuinely supported throughout the journey. From the special attention given to our son to ensuring our meals and activities were stress-free, the team truly demonstrated what hospitality should feel like. For this reason, I would highly recommend Athena Cruise — especially for families or guests with special requirements who value care and consideration. Regarding the cruise experience itself, I do wish to set realistic expectations for future travellers. Ha Long Bay, while naturally beautiful, is not quite as portrayed in social media. The cruise sails for approximately 30 minutes and thereafter remains parked alongside several other boats for most of the day. The excursions offered were extremely crowded; after attending the first one, we chose to skip the remaining activities. Nevertheless, it was the outstanding hospitality of the staff that transformed the experience and made it memorable. Our heartfelt thanks once again to Ha, Kevin, and the Athena Cruise team.

The cruise was great. Everything was comfortable and well considered. Room was lovely, food was great and the staff were so helpful.

What an amazing cruise. From start to finish we couldn’t fault it. The boat was amazing with spacious cabins, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The meals were great with a good range of dishes. The Staff made the trip for us, Kelvin was especially helpful and looked. Free everyone. Highly recommend.

Went on a 2 Days 1 Night stay on the Athena Cruise. The staff, Mr. Chien and Mr. Ha is very welcoming and friendly. All Staff on board is very helpful. Thank you, Athena crew members! Will definitely pay a visit again.

The Kelvin staff is very nice and often comes to know our needs - there are also activities on board to buy water at 5:30 p.m.! I recommend everyone to register!
