Halong 6 Hours Boat Tour With Cave, Kayak, Lunch, Transfer High-way From Hanoi

Showed up at the marina 1 hour early as we had never been there and wanted to make sure we had plenty of time. Arrived to a packed marina with many boats going out. Went to 6 different information counters and nobody had any idea where we were supposed to go. had all of the information ready with booking number, confirmation number, and all the details of our trip. since the information counters were useless, we decided to start asking everyone who looked like the worked on the boats (in a uniform) if they could guide use in the right direction. after about an hour (12:00) we found a lady that was willing to try and help us. We never found our boat which was supposed to be pretty nice. 2 pools, lounge area, snacks and beverages, pretty much all inclusive, etc. now, 12:30 or so, they stick us on a boat, very old with "0" amenities, no pools, no snacks, no lounge area, old and very dirty. Plus we had to pay another 1,200,000d to kayak and hike. there were about 12 ppl on the boat and the guide was nice, but the experience was absolutely horrible, a wasted day and money. it was a shame as we were looking forward to trip.

The trip is poorly explain through this site. Everything was rushed and timetable wasn't clear. The stops were mostly made so you would buy stuff along the way. Halong bay is beautiful, but I don't really think the way all of this is handled, it is worth it.

The cruise itself was great. Lunch was good. We did feel pressured to buy drinks and souvenirs but card wasn’t accepted so we had to pass. Trip advisor should really mention we need to pay another $25 dollars in addition to what is purchased online. Also, there needs to be more communication about meeting spots and the time that people are picked up and the cruise leaves. There was a ton of down time and very limited communication. Would do again if communication was stronger.

Highly recommend this boat trip through some stunning scenery, one of the highlights in Thailand. Plenty of time to enjoy a drink and take in the views, with some free time and a short walk at the end.

The guide Dylan was superb and very helpful throughout the trip..The trip was also very interesting and we were fortunate to have good weather also

We signed up for the 6 hour tour not realizing it did not include the 4 hour round trip travel time, so we arrived home after the dinner hour. The transport was clean and accommodating but stopped for 30 min at a rest stop to seat you in a classroom and sell bamboo clothing products to you. We would not have chosen this selection if we were informed. HaLong Bay was crowded and incredibly busy at the 3 stops , the food was good and filling for the price

They served us cold food and had no additional service at all. The tour guide was difficult to understand because of his accent. We started the tour 1 hour late so we had to rush through every stop.

Not organized from pick up to the boat ride. Tour guide did not let us know who was picking us up, 2 people came on scooters to pick us up but it was not the tour guide. Luckily the hotel concierge was able to confirm for us they were really from the tour. One car came said he was from the tour but he did not come out of the car to introduce himself. So be careful and ALWAYS confirm who is picking you up for any tour. Lunch did not have much choices, just French fries, bread, peanuts, 6 shrimp for the entire table, 2 vegetable dishes, plain noodles and scrambled eggs and its not all u can eat. If you're vegan you're out of luck. Drinks are not included. Bring a thermos with ice because you can't bring plastic bottles at the tourist. Get a tour with buffet option. We had to sit in our assigned seats downstairs and they did not turn on the AC. You can only sit upstairs tp see the view when they say you can. Tour guide did not explain much of the history like other tour guides do. spots....even though they sell drinks in plastic bottles at the spots. Read the fine print to see if all the entrance fees are included before booking.

The tour was absolutely fantastic. Mr Ben is hilarious and very knowledgeable. He made the whole group feel at ease from the very start. This trip made our holiday to Hanoi.

Alan the tour guide was excellent, very friendly and cannot fault him in anyway. Very good value tour with a decent lunch and some fun activities. Great way to see Halong Bay. Only thing holding it back from being 5 stars is the pearl stop at the start, it was completely unnecessary and definitely a quick money grab. Without it the tour could have started later meaning more sleep for everyone.

Great trip but 2 minor aspects to improve 1. Bus shuttle is way too disconfortable, we arrived with back pain because the seats of the shuttle were not comfortable at all. So land transport has a great room for improvement. 2. They explain to you that drinks are not included, which implicitly invites you to go prepared with your own water bottle, but instead you are “punished” by the same tour when after carrying your water or drinks for hours, they tell you you can not bring your own drinks either to the boat or the islands. So the warning of excluded drinks in the trip should not be: excluded drinks, but rather: excluded drinks and Not allowed to bring your own drinks either. so people don’t have to carry all day with unnecessary things The tour itself is very nice, guides as melody are very kind and dedicated. Timing is good too, boat is good enough. We didn’t understand what sunset party was as the boat went back to the port once we visited the last island, maybe it was the tea and sweet buns we received at the time, but not sure. Anyways we do recommend to take the tour, which we totally enjoyed, with the above suggestions.

It was not very intense, but we got to see amazing views and take part in activities like Kayaking and a mini hike. The food was good too and have vegetarian options also.

Great value for money! Excellent food and transport. Tiger was a fantastic tour guide, so friendly and knowledgeable and made the trip great.

Guide Mr. Ben was great. Stop at the oyster farm on the way to Ha Long Bay was unnecessary, lunch on the boat okay. First stop Ti Top Island with 400 steps to the top with amazing view, though hundreds of people going up on my way down. Next stop with bamboo boat was nice, nothing spectacular. Last stop at Sing Sot Cave would have been nice, but so many people there! Drive back with sunset over the bay. All stops definitely only for people who are a bit athletic, not wheelchair or stroller accessible.

Great day trip to see the bay. Very varied with 2 caves, one of which you kayak through, lunch and a stunning viewpoint before you sail back through the sunset

The tour was excellent, a perfect guide and a nice boat. Food was great too. Halong bay is really beautiful and the drive via the highway was very smooth.

Full of natural view. The biggest cave in halong bay, lime stone mountain, fighting chicken mountain, and many things to explore.

Before I review; I would like to note that the tour guide, drivers, and staff were all great. The experience itself is a tourist trap waste of a day. The off boat activities include walking shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of tourists to see mediocre views.

Extra stop over at oyster shop and looked at pearl harvesting. We were also given an option to go on the speedboat instead and was charged 200,000 VND pp to change from the kayak or bamboo boat option. Weather was good on the day so we got to see great views of the islands.

Ha long bay was great to see and the tour guides made the journey on the coach and ferry very smooth. The kayak and hiking was good, but would not say spectacular. Very busy but to be expected and nothing the tour guides can do about that.

Guide was really good, but the "bamboo boat" is actually just a fiberglass boat. Definitely go for the kayaking. The food wasn't great, no sauce in the dishes, just veg and meat. And the Cave is absolutely rammed full of people

The tour guides were funny and ushered through the crowds with ease. The entire experience was thoroughly prepared and seamless. Lunch was great and Halong Bay was better than advertised. Highly recommend

I Have booked this tour for December 2025 and have sent a message twice enquiring about pick ups for cruise port passengers to the Vietnam Tour Tailor Company via WhatsApp and also messaged them via trip advisor. The company has not responded.

We had a splendid time on the water at Ha Long Bay!! It would not have been possible without our amazing tour guide Toan. He was very knowledgeable about the beautiful island. HISTORY. POLITICS. FINANCE. INDUSTRY. SO MUCH INFORMATION!! Humorous and entertaining while at once being enlightening and sincere. He had excellent time management and group communication skills. The boat and included lunch were very nice. I would take Toan’s recommendation for the speed boat on the second stop. I would trust Toan with my life, as well as entrust him with my first born child. He was the best tour guide ever! #borntobeacomedian #pleasedostandup

What a marvel of nature! Got to see and do so much in just 1 day! If you have more time, definitely spend more time in the bay but if you’re limited, this is a great way to experience this beautiful place!

If you are vegetarian the meal is not good. Very good organization but thé guide was too loud and repetitive. Too much inxistence to buy something everywhere. The staff was nice.

Had a really nice time on this tour. I met a lot of other nice tourists and our guide, Victor, was fun and very knowledgeable. The places were a bit crowded, but the staff was organized and kind. The boat ride was comfortable and the food was good. I’m not sure why people complain about the drinks. You can bring a reusable water bottle, they just don’t allow single use plastics in Ha Long Bay. I had no problem personally. They provide water bottles before and after the cruise and my 32oz water bottle was enough for the 6 hours. Overall great value for a day trip.

Great day trip to Ha Long Bay. A long day, but well worth it. The trip is well organised and all is well thought out. Toan our guide was great. He made sure all is going according to plan and took care of all our needs. And with a good sense of humour that made the long drive to and back much nicer.

A wonderful 12 hours tour which included 6 hours on a nice boat in Halong bay. Our guide was nice and knowledgeable. Food was excellent and our tour guide and captain was very good; They saw the line of people queuing for the cave and they changed the plan to do other activities first before getting to the cave.

Our family's experience visiting Ha Long Bay was fantastic. I was quite hesitant about booking the tour because it seemed much cheaper compared to other tour agencies but it turned out to be the right choice. Our family had an amazing experience. We had a boat in Halong bay for only us. It was large and nice. Totally it was very good and we had a great day.

Well organised day tour to Halong bay. We visited Surprising Cave was really amazing. Kayaking and beach visit were great fun. Extremely great value for money spent. We highly recommend it.

This tour was fantastic, our tour guide Henry made the day very enjoyable and everything ran very smoothly. The bus ride to Halong Bay was well organised, and the bus itself was clean and comfortable with good A/C. The boat trip was beautiful and the food provided was nice. The activities were very enjoyable and Halong Bay itself was stunning. I highly recommend anyone visiting Hanoi to go on this tour!
